Story
This is Cedar! He is a very loving dog. He is around 2 years old. He is house broke but will have an occasional accident. Cedar is good with kids and other dogs. He likes to chase cats and chickens but has gotten used to our indoor cat over time. He is very protective of myself which is why we are trying to find a new home. He comes between me and my husband frequently and is getting more territorial. He is loyal to a fault. He is crate trained, UTD on his vaccinations, heartworm prevention, and flea/tick prevention. It breaks my heart to have to give him up because he is so dedicated to me but it is putting a strain on the household. I am hoping to find him a loving home where he will be well taken care of!

Story
Meet King! King is a Beautiful Blue Nosed Pittie who loves humans. He is just over a year old and still has a boatload of puppy-like energy! He loves toys, especially those that squeak, but he is a rope toy tug-of-war champion here at the shelter! King gives definite “Hippo Pup” vibes, and after a good time playing, he loves to snuggle with a human and give all the kisses. We are not sure how he feels about cats, but we do know he’s dog selective (meaning he likes some dogs, but not all). We think he’d live nicely with a dog that could play with him and match his energy. We would require a meet and greet before adoption to make sure they get along. King loves treats of any kind so much that sometimes he gets a bit grabby. We are working on teaching him some manners and patience when it comes to getting his favorite snacks! King is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all of his vaccines, and tested negative for heartworm. Apply for King here: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/signup/664c2ea080ba55b07a0e6299

Story
Meet Baby! Baby is a medium mixed breed around 1 year old. She’s high energy as she is still young. She is a very sweet girl that loves humans! Her previous owner said she likes to chase the neighborhood cats, but she’s dog friendly and she’s very kid friendly. One of Baby’s favorite things is frozen Kong toys. (We fill a Kong with various things like treats, pureed pumpkin, blueberries, strawberries, and even wet food, and we put them in the freezer. Great enrichment for these hot days!) Baby also loves to play with toys, and is learning how to fetch. She struggles to let the ball go (“no take, only throw!”) but she’s getting better. We are also working on her with basic commands. She walks great on a leash. Baby is spayed, microchipped, up to date on all of her vaccinations, and tested negative for heartworm. Story
Meet Dutton, a puppy with a heart as big as his personality. He loves to play with toys and loves to run around our play yard as fast as he can. His big, beautiful eyes will have you falling in love with him right away! Dutton's curious nature and friendly demeanor make him a joy to be around. He loves people of all ages and sizes. He gets along with the other dogs here and does great in play groups. He is curious about cats but doesn’t seem menacing at all. Dutton has puppy energy that will need someone that is ready to give him the outlets he needs. Puppies can be destructive, especially when they are bored or have not had enough play-time! Dutton is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. He is too young for heartworm testing. Apply here! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/signup/664c2ea080ba55b07a0e6299

Story
Meet Betty! Betty, who’s full name is “Black Betty Bambalam" while in the shelter, is a very sweet girl. She also answers to "Ollie", according to the previous owner. She is a runner, and will need a fenced in yard that she cannot easily dig out of. The previous owner said she never tried to jump a fence, but she loves to run free and will dig out if she can. Betty knows a couple of commands already, such as “Sit”, and “Down”, and is very treat motivated. She is always very gentle when taking treats from humans, and we think she’d do great in a house with a family and kids. She does ok on a leash, but could definitely benefit from more training in that area. She is so happy just to hang out with people and get love, she’s a real people-pleaser! Our shelter staff has quickly fallen in love with her! Betty is spayed, microchipped, up to date on all of her vaccinations, and tested negative for heartworm. She seems to get along with other dogs, and isn’t really interested in cats. Apply for Betty here! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/signup/664c2ea080ba55b07a0e6299

Story
Meet Buster! Buster is a playful and sweet puppy. He loves all people, toys, treats, walks, you name it, he loves it! He’s a happy boy who loves to hang out and play. He especially loves rope toys and ones that squeak. He gets along great with other animals, although he’s a puppy so his energy levels are not for everyone! He’d do great with another young dog that can play, or a cat that tolerates a crazy puppy! Buster is very smart and is learning basic commands here at the shelter. We are working on “sit”, “shake”, and “down”. He is also learning how to walk on a leash. He loves kids, but we think kids aged 5+ would be best because of his energy level. Buster is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. He is too young to test for Heartworm. Apply here https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/signup/664c2ea080ba55b07a0e6299
