Story
Knut came to us at 3 weeks during a winter storm old and was one of the biggest babies we had seen. That is why we named him after a famous polar bear cub. We are unsure of his breed, and as he gets bigger our guesses keep changing. We do think he has some hound in him due to his elongated snout. He is now 9 months old and weighs 60 lbs. He is neutered, microchiped, and has had 3 rounds of vaccines. We expect him to be quite a large dog fully grown, possibly over 80lbs. However, Knut is a gentle giant. He is very sweet and passive and loves to play with the other dogs. But his favorite thing to do is eat. He is a little shy at first, but warms up quickly. He is ready for his forever home and a family that wants a big dog with a big heart.

Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with dogs, Good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Adoption fee waived for our "bear" pups. Both Polar Bear and his sister Grizzly Bear have waived adoption fees. Polar Bear came to us at only a few weeks old with his 3 siblings. We know that mom is a Labrador mix. Due to the fact that the puppies have dewclaws and their size we assume they are also Pyrenees mixes. He is the smallest of his siblings and the most shy. He is cautious to try new things and will stand back and watch. He can be a bit fearful at first, but once he figures it out he is happy and playful. He loves playing wirh his siblings, but is just as happy laying on the couch. He is very sweet and loving.

Story
Chunk came to us as after his elderly owners were not properly caring for him. He was close to 30lbs when he came to us. He has been on a weight loss plan which consists of only getting dog food twice a day. He can not eat people food anymore. And he is now 24.4 lbs! Despite being a big boy, he is quite active. He loves running around outside and uses the dog door to go in and out. He is very friendly and gets along with other small dogs, but he will bark at cats. His new family will need to continue feeding him correctly and exercising him. He can live a long healthy life with proper care as he is only 7 years old. He is neutered, microchiped, and vaccinated.

Pixie

Chihuahua

Female, 12 yrs 2 mos
Dallas, TX
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Pixie came to us as an owner surrender. Her family had her since she was a puppy, but at 12 years old, they had to give her up due to hardships and unable to care for her. Pixie had a huge mass on her neck. It was benign, a large cyst filling with fluid. Unfortunately Pixie also has a grade 3 heart murmer, so surgery was a little risky, but a necessity for her to be comfortable. We got her cyst removed, and she also had 17 teeth pulled. Once all of the infection was out her her body, Pixie was a new dog! She is more active and friendly. She is happy and healthy. Even though she does have a hear murmur, she is not in heart failure. We know with a home filled with love that Pixie can live a long and happy life. Pixie is spayed, microchiped, and vaccinated. She is 10 lbs.

Story
Mochi came to use from a shelter where he was not doing well in that scary environment. He was brought in as an owner surrender, and was not trusting of strangers. He is doing amazing at his foster home and couldn't be more of a snuggler. He is the sweetest little guy (once he trusts you). And wants to be next to you at all times. He does not do well in a crate, as he does get seperation anxiety, but his foster family is working on crate training with him, making it a positive place not a negative one. He gets along with other dogs and doesn't bother cats. Because he is fearful of new people, we do not think he would be good with smaller children. He needs a new family that is patient and understanding. Once he knows you, he will be your best friend forever.

Story
Hi, I'm Kobe! I'm a sweet, friendly chap who loves nothing more than a good cuddle. I will flourish in a home with older or no children since I prefer a quieter house. I'm also quite the curious fellow, always eager to explore new sights and smells. My smarts? They're top-notch! I'm quick to learn new tricks and commands, making me a joy to train. Playtime is my favorite part of the day. But at the end of the day, I love nothing more than curling up for a cuddle. I'm looking for a forever home where I can share all this love and joy. I promise, I'll be the best friend you ever had. Adopt me, and let's start our adventure together!
