Story
Chase was surrendered with another dog in the family home when his owner unfortunately passed away. Chase can be viewed and adopted, however he is scared in the shelter, so he cannot meet children under 13-years-old. He is very timid and anxious here. Experienced dog owners only at this time. He is sometimes friendly with other dogs, but absolutely NO cats or small (prey) animals.

Darius

German Shepherd Dog

Male, 3 yrs 1 mo

Size

Story
Darius is a friendly but high-energy, `ready to go` intelligent German Shepherd. Always ready to be involved and be active, he is more on the anxious side. He is sometimes friendly with other dogs, but because of his size and energy, we require dog-to-dog introductions if you have a dog at home. Darius has a [tentative] diagnosis of Diabetes Insipidus, a condition causing excessive thirst and excessive urination. Darius urinates more often than other adult dogs due to feeling extremely thirsty nearly all the time. Withholding water causes distress and anxiety, and even a level of pain, but there is medication to treat the condition. There is no cure for Diabetes Insipidus. Darius`s adopter will need to be prepared for the financial responsibility associated with adopting a dog with medical needs.
