Story
My name is Tanner! I will be a medium sized dog when I grow up. I bounce into every room as if to say, "Here I am - the party has arrived!" I am polishing up on my puppy behaviors and am very treat motivated. I learned "sit" in no time at all and am working on "down." I sleep quietly in my crate all night. House training is an "almost there" status as I quickly learned the dog door and that helps me. At my foster home I get along with all of the dogs there and love to play. I got to attend doggie daycare where it was said that I was quite the social guy and played well with others. I am really quite smart and my entire focus is on you (and a treat) when I am alone and not distracted with others. I'm ready to learn new things and hope you will give me a chance to be a really loyal companion! Email info@habitat4paws.org for an application. **Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. For more on adoption policies, please see the How it Works page of our website, www.habitat4paws.org.**

Story
Hi, my name is Laredo and I am 3 yrs old! I am a big lap dog and love to be right with my person. My life before rescue was not the best, so I was a bit afraid of new people and dogs when I came to Habitat 4 Paws. My fosters saw what a good dog I could be with a little reassurance and Habitat 4 Paws set me up with a great trainer! I am finishing up a month long training and doing great. Everyone says I am super smart and an excellent direction follower. I have learned some good commands, worked on my socialization skills, and am becoming a very confident and happy dog! Now it's time to find my forever family! I think I would like an active family best, to play with, go on walks, and spend lots of time together. I'm good with kids, too! Although I love being the center of your doggie attention, I would be fine sharing the spotlight with another calmer dog. And bonus..... I am crate and potty trained too! If you'd like to meet me, email my people at Habitat 4 Paws. I am patiently waiting!! Email info@habitat4paws.org for an application. **Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Story
Hey there, yes, you! Are you looking for a sweet, playful man in your life? Well look no further because here I am. My name is Comet and I am just over a year old. I weigh around 45 pounds, I am potty and crate trained, however I do prefer to be with my people and I know how to use a doggie door. I love to run and play, be outside and chew on my nyla bones. I get along well with other playful dogs and would love to have a playmate around my own size. I do love all people but I would do better in a home with older children as the little ones don't seem to want to play with the same enthusiasm as I do. I enjoy long walks, meeting new people and I absolutely adore car rides. If you are looking for a playmate, walking mate or just a soul mate, then I am your dude! Let's set up a lunch date! **Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Story
Ace, one of our long-timers, is still looking for his person! He is a 6 year old Australian Cattle Dog/American Staffordshire Terrier/German Shepherd/Siberian Husky mix. Ace is the type of pup who only needs his person to be happy. When he has a human to love, he absolutely adores them. He prefers women, but we believe he could bond with a man in the same way with a little more time. Ace is not the type of dog to take to the dog park or out in a social setting, but he is also not the type of dog who needs that to be happy. If you think of it another way, he is just a homebody looking for a human homebody! He lacks confidence when meeting new people or when put in a new situation, so he is looking for a patient adopter who understands that things in this world are a bit scarier for him. However, once he knows he is safe, he loves with his entire heart. His favorite things are to lay at his foster mom’s feet while she works and even just be near her. He does not have separation anxiety, but he just truly loves to be around his person. Ace would thrive in a home with an adopter who is home most of the time and just wants a loyal and loving best friend to accompany them. Ace is in a foster home with other dogs and does fine with them. He is dog friendly but just a little awkward with other dogs because he doesn’t understand social cues. His ideal home would be as an only dog or with another mellow dog. Ace has been through obedience training and knows many commands. He walks great on a leash. He is also kennel trained and potty trained. We realize that Ace’s forever home is a tall ask, but we know that his person is out there somewhere. He is looking for someone who will give him a couple of weeks to open up because they know that it will be so worth it in the end. He has been with us for almost 4 years since being returned in 2020, and we want to finally see his happily ever after! If you are interested in adopting Ace, please visit rescuerowinc.org to fill out an adoption application. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows paid by cash, a check made out to Rescue Row, Venmo: @Rescue-Row or at Zelle: info@rescuerowinc.org      Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee      Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##209619##

Story
Meet Terry! We are guessing he is a 4 1/2 year old American Staffordshire Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog mix who loves other dogs and needs a doggy sibling in his forever home. He is crate trained and house trained and loves to cuddle! This boy thinks he’s a 50 lb lap dog! He loves to play with toys, even by himself and loves to chase his foster doggie siblings around the yard. He has a lot of energy, but also loves to lay around and chew on his Benebone. He is weary around men, so his future family needs to know that if there is a man in the home, it may take a while for him to warm up. Due to his breeds, no apartments please! If you would like to adopt a dog from Rescue Row please fill out an application at www.rescuerowinc.org *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days. Story
Sweet Denali has been with the rescue for over 2 yrs and has yet to find his forever home! He is an 8 1/2 year old Chihuahua mix weighing only 11.7 lbs. When he joined the rescue he battled IBS, but thankfully after months of doctors visits and trying different medications he has been symptom free!  He is eating regular dog food softend due to the amount of teeth he has but enjoys a good meal without any tummy issues.  For precautions due to history, we do limit his food to no people food or excesive treats.  He loves walks, car rides, people and sunnying. Denali is great with other dogs, cats and everyone he meets. He will still occasionally potty in the house, but wearing a belly band in the home is a simple solution to protecting the carpet! This boy is so deserving of a forever home. Apply to adopt Denali at www.rescuerowinc.org Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days.
