Story
My name is Tanner! I will be a medium sized dog when I grow up. I bounce into every room as if to say, "Here I am - the party has arrived!" I am polishing up on my puppy behaviors and am very treat motivated. I learned "sit" in no time at all and am working on "down." I sleep quietly in my crate all night. House training is an "almost there" status as I quickly learned the dog door and that helps me. At my foster home I get along with all of the dogs there and love to play. I got to attend doggie daycare where it was said that I was quite the social guy and played well with others. I am really quite smart and my entire focus is on you (and a treat) when I am alone and not distracted with others. I'm ready to learn new things and hope you will give me a chance to be a really loyal companion! Email info@habitat4paws.org for an application. **Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Story
Hi, my name is Laredo and I am 3 yrs old! I am a big lap dog and love to be right with my person. My life before rescue was not the best, so I was a bit afraid of new people and dogs when I came to Habitat 4 Paws. My fosters saw what a good dog I could be with a little reassurance and Habitat 4 Paws set me up with a great trainer! I am finishing up a month long training and doing great. Everyone says I am super smart and an excellent direction follower. I have learned some good commands, worked on my socialization skills, and am becoming a very confident and happy dog! Now it's time to find my forever family! I think I would like an active family best, to play with, go on walks, and spend lots of time together. I'm good with kids, too! Although I love being the center of your doggie attention, I would be fine sharing the spotlight with another calmer dog. And bonus..... I am crate and potty trained too! If you'd like to meet me, email my people at Habitat 4 Paws. I am patiently waiting!! Email info@habitat4paws.org for an application. **Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Story
Hey there, yes, you! Are you looking for a sweet, playful man in your life? Well look no further because here I am. My name is Comet and I am just over a year old. I weigh around 45 pounds, I am potty and crate trained, however I do prefer to be with my people and I know how to use a doggie door. I love to run and play, be outside and chew on my nyla bones. I get along well with other playful dogs and would love to have a playmate around my own size. I do love all people but I would do better in a home with older children as the little ones don't seem to want to play with the same enthusiasm as I do. I enjoy long walks, meeting new people and I absolutely adore car rides. If you are looking for a playmate, walking mate or just a soul mate, then I am your dude! Let's set up a lunch date! **Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Story
Kato is a sweet, active full-bred puppy. He loves to be outside and will jump into any body of water. He is great with other dogs and small children. We are looking for a new home for Kato that can give him love, attention and activity. Kato is fixed, potty trained and kennel trained. Kato has attended a two-week dog training. While Kato has become a fixed member of our family and we will be very sad to see him go, we are unable to give him the time and attention he deserves. We know there is a loving home that can give Kato all the love and time outdoors he deserves!

Story
Meet Autumn Fall: The Independent Pack Runner Introducing Autumn Fall, a nearly 10-year-old, 70-pound shepherd mix who has a unique and independent spirit. Autumn is feral and was a dedicated mama to her pups. After living in a foster home for a while, she moved to boarding in early 2020 when her foster family relocated, and she has been in our boarding sanctuary ever since. Autumn is terrified of people and prefers to keep her distance. She will run away if approached, not out of aggression, but out of fear. Despite her indifference towards humans, she does fantastic running with a pack of animals and is always looking to engage with them. Autumn's preferred interaction with people is none-she would rather not make eye contact and simply go about her day. This sweet mama dog has always struggled to acclimate to human interaction. Even when she lived in a house, she would run out with the dogs and come back to her area without much interaction. Now, in our boarding sanctuary, Autumn continues to thrive in her own way, surrounded by her pack. Autumn is looking for someone special to sponsor her boarding costs and ensure she continues to live comfortably. If you're interested in helping Autumn and supporting her unique lifestyle, please consider sponsoring her today. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Jiggy Jill

American Pit Bull Terrier

Female, 7 yrs
Allen, TX
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with cats, Needs special attention, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Jiggy's owners left her behind when they moved. Jiggy stayed loyal to her owners by staying on the property in case they came back; unfortunately she was hit by a car one day while she ventured out looking for food. Due to lack of proper care after her accident, her spine grew crooked causing her to be incontinent (meaning she doesn't have full control of her bladder or defecation). Jiggy Jill doesn't realize that she is different than any other dog. She is able to run and play. She is truly the happiest, silliest and most active pup. Jiggy gets along with other dogs, cats and loves humans. Jiggy is special needs and requires extra care. She is on a special prescription food which keeps her poops solid for easy clean up. She is also trained to wear diapers and overalls while she is indoors. Jiggy Jill might have been a throw away stray who nobody cared for but we want to give her the best quality life. She definitely deserves it. All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. The standard minimum donation for puppies is $325 + 8.25% tax = $351.81, for dogs over 12 months the adoption fee is $225 + 8.25% tax = $243.66 and for our senior dogs 8 years and up is $100 + 8.25% tax = $108.25; this increase includes sales tax recently required by the State of Texas to collect. You can view all the adoptable pets and fill out an adoption application online on our website at http://dallasdogrrr.org. For more information, you can email adopt@dallasdogrrr.org. Upon receiving your application please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process. Thank you for your interest in adopting a Dallas DogRRR.
