Story
My daughter adopted Natasha (Tasha) from the Austin Humane Society on April 1, 2023, but has moved to Ireland to go to school. Tasha is a very affectionate dog that loves human contact. She walks on a leash, is house broken, and loves chew toys. Tasha is up to date on shots and preventive meds. She did have heart worms when we got her, but went through treatment and is all clear now. We are also planning moving and can not take Tasha with us.

Story
Baby, is a purebred Husky. We had ownership of mom and dad. He was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around his paw, therefore, he is missing his front left leg, this does not impede him from running fast and going about on his daily duties. He has been with us since he was born, however as he has gotten older, he does not seem to want to be around another dog in our house. He has been very spoiled. He loves attention, and lets you know when he wants it. Baby, is house trained, and very smart. He knows simple commands of sit, lay. He loves his treats.

Story
Looking for a great, energetic dog to spice up your life and help with your New Year’s resolution of staying more active than you ever thought possible? An accountability partner or personal trainer? Ron is your man! He is looking for a home within driving distance of Dallas, TX. If you think you might have that perfect home, please read Ron’s ENTIRE bio before making your next move. Ron is the cutest, isn’t he? Don’t be suckered in by the cute face. Ron is an absolute WildMan. He has the energy of 5 dogs. Let’s put it this way: if Ron were a drink, he’d be an espresso shot - with a Red Bull chaser. Looking for a sweet, quiet couch potato of a dog? Keep scrolling. Enjoy ending the day with a little Netflix and a glass of wine? Not unless you’ve worn Ron to a nub with multiple walks/runs through the neighborhood or a sent him for a grueling day at doggy daycare. Only then will he let you rest. A tired Ron is a sweet Ron. It just takes a LOT to wear him out. Want a buddy who will do agility or play flyball? Ultimate Frisbee? Running partner? Have another WildMan at home that needs a partner in crime? Ron is your man! Work at a dog daycare and able to bring your dog to work with you every day? Have we got a deal for you! Ron is actually a great dog! He is housebroken, crate trained, and is wicked smart. He also has endless energy. He absolutely needs another young, high energy dog to play with. -Preferably a dog bigger than him. We discovered that he LOVES playing with a herding dog at doggy daycare. He loves a good game of chase! How about kids, you ask. Well, are they old enough to keep up? If so, hell yea! Only homes with a very secure, larger fenced yard will be considered. Ron has been known to fit through wrought iron fences. His foster mom puts an inflatable donut around his neck to keep him from making a run for it through the fence when they are at the dog park. Ron is 25 inches from tip of his nose to the base of his tail. Although he isn’t a big dog, he is a long dog. He’s too long to fit in a flight carrier. Yes, we’ve tried. Ron is half Shih Tzu/half French bulldog. He is about a year old, weighs 20 pounds, is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and is heart worm negative. Does your soul long for an adventure, challenge, and a best friend who will keep you laughing, running, and occasionally shouting “RON, NO!” You’re in the right place. Please fill out an application at nbgr.org. Already have an app on file with us or have adopted or fostered for NBGR previously? Email Holly Pruitt at hpruitt4@yahoo.com to let her know you’re interested in The WildMan.

Not good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
We found Max about 8 months ago starved and in poor condition. His owner was abusive and neglectful and Max was basically on his own. We began feeding him, took him to the vet to have him neutered and get his shots, and he began staying with us some. His owner gave him to us about 2 months ago and Max is now in good shape and ready for a new owner. The house we're living in has been sold and we're moving out and, unfortunately, losing our fenced yard for at least a year while we build a house and live in an RV. Max needs an experienced owner who can work with him on a few things. But he's really smart, very athletic, eager to learn and looking forward to a lifelong home with a new owner. He's leash trained, house trained, kennel trained and in fact, loves his kennel. He will still counter surf if you leave food out but we're working on that.He hasn't been around people very much and needs help with that. The good news is, you will no longer need to compost. Max will handle it!

Available in TX only! Meet Leona, the epitome of warmth and affection in canine form. This delightful rescue pup has captured hearts with her boundless love for cuddles and kisses. Whether she's nestled on the couch or curled up in her crate, Leona's affectionate nature shines through, making her the perfect companion for cozy evenings. Not only is Leona a cuddle expert, but she's also a model of good behavior, thanks to her impeccable crate training. Her foster family can attest to her gentle demeanor and loving personality, which extends to her interactions with other dogs. Leona particularly adores the company of more submissive canine friends, fostering a sense of harmony and companionship wherever she goes. While it may take Leona a little time to warm up to her new people, once she does, she becomes a friend for life. She has an affinity for women, therefore, we are looking for a home with a female adopter. Her loyalty knows no bounds, and she'll stick by your side through thick and thin, offering unwavering companionship and endless love. Despite her friendly nature, Leona understands the importance of introductions, so a meet and greet is recommended to ensure a smooth transition into her new home. With Leona by your side, every day is a testament to the power of love and companionship. Get ready to be swept off your feet by this affectionate furry friend who's eagerly awaiting her forever home. She is being fostered in a home in Seguin, TX.
