Story
Meet Sprinkles! Sprinkles and her sister Ice Cream (now adopted) were found as strays dumped in front of a vet clinic in Houston, sadly a very common story. Our wonderful foster was able to get the girls in her car by luring them with food. Sprinkles was a scaredy cat but she saw her sister Ice Cream jump right into the car, so she followed. Sprinkles has learned what it means to live in a home - to be loved and cared for. Sprinkles is 100% velcro dog. She absolutely adores her person. Sprinkles is also a fun loving gal who loves to play - with people and other dogs. She is very submissive when meeting new people. Sprinkles is: Approximately 1 year old 45lbs Loves to play Loves to cuddle and seeks out validation from her human Submissive to people Potty trained Good on leash Hesitant in the car but getting braver

Story
Lightening is an active pup who loves to run and play and romp around with his other canine friends and people too! He has a beautiful brindle-like coat and majestic white chest! He is about 18 months old and still very puppy-like, curious about new things and learning new commands. Lightening would love an active home where he can get plenty of exercise and fresh air, get out the "zoomies' and then settle in to warm snuggles on the couch at the end of the day! He will make a great addition to a welcoming family! villageforpawsrescue.com villageforpawsrescue@gmail.com for more information or to fill out an application.

Story
This is Rocky, as we are learning more from his foster in TX. ? This boy was a must save when seeing him on the euthanasia list for space. He is just a pup at only 16 mos old and a gangly boy. He looks to me like he could have a little Great Dane in him but just a guess. Foster is getting a great start on this pup's new life. Some notes below from foster. Rocky: 16 mos old typical teenager pup. He has a high-pitched bark when he wants out of his kennel. Rocky is dog friendly. He is still learning that some dogs don't like another being in his face. He is puppy energy and would benefit from running or daily walks. Or, a friend to play with. He will chase balls but hasn't figured out fetch. He doesn't chew on inappropriate things. He will chew and rip apart stuffed toys. He is kid friendly! He loves the attention. He will go belly up for them. He doesn't react to kids running around or yelling when we are outside. I don't have kids, so I cannot speak for his behavior in a home with loud kids ? He was curious about the kids' skateboarding or riding scooters. He didn't bark or lunge at them. Rocky is funny. He doesn't know how to entertain himself much. I think it's pent-up energy. He is always happy. If he doesn't want to do something, he goes belly up and can be mouthy. He will also become a rolling polly. ? He knows sit, no bite, and leave it. He is so curious about my cats. He wants to sniff them. Because he is higher puppy energy & learning boundaries, he can be a bit much. He will sit, though. He never tries to hurt the cats. It's more like a small dog he wants to play with. Learning to be nice with kitties (no aggression; just wants to play)! With continued training, I am confident he could live with cats. Clean kennel club member. Crate trained. Potty trained. House trained. Not much counter surfing here. UTD on vaccines and preventative meds. Neutered. He will load up or unload from the car easily. He rides very well in the car, too. Story
Camille was recently rescued from a shelter in the South where she was at high risk for being euthanized. She is a very sweet girl, friendly with people and other dogs, and walks very well on leash. She is a bit shy at first and does not like loud noises or large moving objects (may have had some associated trauma from something) but she is gradually gaining confidence, loves to be outside and soak up human kindness and affection! She will be transported to Village For Paws in New England in mid December where she will be available for adoption (or foster to adopt). If you are interested in learning more about her, fostering or adopting, please email villageforpawsrescue@gmail.com for more information or to fill out an application.

(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Emmett's owner passed away in September. Emmett is a joyful, loving boy who enthusiastically engages with all aspects of life, especially balls. He thrives with direction and loves to please, especially when the reward is playtime with a ball. He needs daily exercise for both his body and his brain, whether that is a game of fetch outside, a nice long walk with his person, a run on a treadmill (yes, he is treadmill trained), a game of find-it with hidden treats, or a training session. Emmett requires someone who understands dog behavior. He can be reactive to other dogs when first meeting them, but it comes from a place of uncertainty. He did a board-and-train with a dog behaviorist for three weeks and successfully lived with a pack of dogs during that time. He sometimes needs help regulating his energy, something I would happily talk extensively about to anyone interested. Emmett is bright, loving, and ready for any adventure. Now, all he needs is someone to go with.
