Story
Chun-Li is and Extended Stay Friend. Her adoption fee is $125. Meet Chun-Li, the sweet old girl who’s the best of both worlds! She's the perfect mix of calm and playful! Chun-Li walks nicely on a leash, making her a pleasant partner for leisurely strolls. While she may not be interested in toys, she never says no to treats or some good butt scratches. Chun-Li treasures the affection of her people above all else and is happiest when she’s close to you. If you're looking for a gentle and loving companion who prefers quiet moments of togetherness over the hustle and bustle, Chun-Li is the perfect match for you! **Here are some words from her foster family!*** "She has been absolutely flourishing here and has turned into a fairly active pup! We have been working on her stamina with walks with her joints in mind and are now up to about 1.5-2 miles at a time. Her joints don’t seem to bug her at all, she no longer has trouble hopping on the couch. She demands walks every day (it’s quite funny) and has a blast. We have loved fostering her again, she is a true queen!" Chun-Li would do fine in a home with children of all ages. We are not sure of how she is around cats Chun-Li can be selective with her doggy friends so a dog-to-dog meet is required before going into a home with other dogs. Chun-Li recently went on a Doggy Day Out with one of our volunteers and did wonderfully. She did great in the car, enjoyed a pup-cup and did lots of exploring. She was described as sweet, gentle, kind, beautiful and inquisitive. Here is what our volunteers have to say about her: "Chun-Li is a super sweet, docile, gentle girl. She did great riding in the car and going to the parks and exploring. She is such a sweetheart. I hope she finds an amazing "furever" home very soon." Chun-Li is a 7.5 year old female Pit bull who is fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and currently weighing 66.5lbs. *If you are interested in adopting please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Meet Casio, the small guy with a heart as big as a pot of gold! This little guy can be shy at first, but don't be fooled, he is all about spreading love—he adores giving kisses and soaking up as much affection as he can get. With no signs of aggression, Casio is a shy gentle soul who just wants to be your best friend. Casio may not have had much training yet, but he's incredibly food motivated, which makes him a quick learner! While leash walking was a bit of a challenge at first, Casio has shown impressive improvement and he’s walking just fine on the leash now days. Casio may have special needs when it comes to controlling his bowel movements, and in his previous home, he wore diapers to help manage this. But what he truly needs is someone who will love and support him just the way he is. Here at CHRS we label Casio as an " exceptional owner wanted" friend and because of this his adoption fee has been reduced in half. Casio is full of affection, and he's looking for an understanding adopter who can embrace his unique needs with patience and kindness. If you're ready to open your heart to a small dog with a big personality. Casio would do well in a home with children 12+ years old . We are not sure how Casio is around cat friends. Casio would also do great in a home with other dogs given proper introduction. Casio is fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and currently weighing 43.5lbs. This goofy pup loves hard toys and bones, always ready to play and have a good time. Casio’s looking for a forever home that will continue to help him grow and learn, all while enjoying his affectionate and playful nature. If you’re ready for endless kisses and a loyal companion, Casio is your boy! *If you are interested in adopting please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Meet Clooney, the independent, smart, and loving guy who is ready to find his forever home! Clooney may be a little reserved at first, but once he’s had the chance to get to know his people and surroundings, his true playful side shines through. He’s a bit of a slow-burn when it comes to making new connections, but when he feels comfortable, he shows his loving and joyful personality. Clooney has a special bond with his shelter friend, Toffee, a 9-month-old puppy who he loves to play with. Clooney takes on the role of a big brother or role model, showing off his playful side and helping Toffee learn the ropes. It’s a side of him that’s both sweet and endearing—Clooney truly thrives when he has a buddy to bond with. Although Clooney is an independent dog who enjoys his space, he also craves affection and will come to you for cuddles and attention when he’s ready. He’s not demanding, but when he seeks affection, he really enjoys it! Clooney should do well in a home with younger kids who are respectful of his space and give him the time he needs to feel comfortable. For this reason, we’d recommend a household of 12+ years old or a meet-and-greet with younger kids to ensure the dynamics are a good fit. Clooney has some simple joys in life: he loves butt rubs, outdoor walks, and playtime with his friends—especially with his squeaky toys. His ideal family will be patient, understanding, and willing to build trust with him over time. Clooney should do fine in a household with other dogs given a proper introduction. We are unsure how Clooney would do with cat friends. If you're looking for a dog who is independent, yet loving; playful, but thoughtful; and most of all, ready to build a lasting bond, Clooney could be the perfect match. He just needs someone who can give him the time, patience, and trust he deserves. Could you be the one to offer him that? Come meet Clooney today and see what a wonderful companion he can be! *If you are interested in adopting please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Meet Maggy, a sweet dog who has been through more than most can imagine, but she's showing us every day how strong she is. Maggy was once thought to have found her forever home, but unfortunately, she was left behind by her previous adopter. Since returning to our shelter, she's been adjusting beautifully, slowly but surely building trust with our dedicated staff and embracing the daily routines here. We are so grateful to have Maggy back safe and sound, and we are hopeful that this time, she'll find the true forever home she deserves. Maggy is looking for a loving and patient owner who will offer her the unconditional love and security she craves. With the right gentle and caring person, Maggy will flourish and show her true, affectionate nature. She deserves a loyal companion who understands her needs and is committed to giving her the stability she deserves. Maggy should do well in households with children of all ages. We are unsure how Maggy does with cat friends. She will thrive best as the only dog in the household, where she can be the center of attention and form a deep bond with her new family. If you're ready to offer Maggy the kind of home that will make her feel safe and loved, she’s waiting for you with a heart full of hope. *If you are interested in adopting please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal
