My mommy, Ochiba, is a beautiful 2-year-old all-black cat. She’s a bit shy at first and will need some time to feel comfortable in a new home, but she's full of love. Our story began at the Detroit Animal Care and Control (DACC) shelter. Mommy was very overprotective of me, her only baby, and they had to separate us. It was so sad—Mommy was scared and about to be put to sleep because of her behavior. But then we were rescued and brought into a loving foster home where we could be together again. Mommy cried and trilled until she found me, and now we always sleep and cuddle together. We're fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped, ready for our new family. Meet Java and Misa: The Adorable Bonded Brothers Seeking Their Forever Home! Java: “Misa, it looks like we have a potential adopter over there. Sadly, our journey hasn’t been easy. We previously lived in a toxic home environment that put us in danger. Fortunately, a friend of our previous owner reached out for immediate help. We were even kicked outside to live in the nearby woods! Despite the trauma and abuse we faced, we’ve shown remarkable resilience and are thriving in foster care. However, as much as we adore our foster family, we are ready to find our own special people who will cherish us like we deserve. Meet Midnight!!! Midnight came to us when we found her and her kittens living outside in the freezing cold. All her kittens have been adopted and now its Midnight's turn to find her home! Midnight is initially shy, but shy cats bring a unique kind of magic to your life and deserve all the love too! As a former street cat, she is a little apprehensive at seeking petting and physical affection from people, but she has no aggression at all towards people. Midnight actually loves getting pets and cuddles when she trusts her people. She has a sweetness inside, which is evident when you do get to cuddle her.
