Shadow is in need of a loving home! She’s a sweetheart of a girl, a little reserved but has a big heart that will blossom even more with the love of a wonderful companion or family. Shadow gets along with other cats and would probably be fine with dogs after proper introductions. BROWNSTOWN ANIMAL SHELTER https://www.facebook.com/groups/BrownstownAdoptableAnimals/ 734-675-4008

🐱 **Sweet Dolly: A Gentle Soul Seeking Patience** Meet our shy sweetheart Dolly, a one-year-old girl who's looking for someone to show her that the world isn't so scary after all. Like a delicate flower, she just needs the right environment to bloom. **About This Precious Girl:** - Young and full of potential at just one year old - Takes time to build trust and show her true self - Could blossom with feline friends or canine companions (with slow, proper introductions) **Dolly's Perfect Home:** - A peaceful, patient environment - Understanding humans who speak softly - Time and space to decompress - Gentle encouragement to build confidence Sometimes the most rewarding relationships come from giving a shy cat the chance to trust again. Behind Dolly's reserved exterior is a loving companion waiting to emerge. 🏠 Could you be the patient person Dolly's been waiting for? 🐱 **Meet Elliot: Seeking His Quiet Corner of the World** Behind those cautious eyes lies a sweet boy just waiting for someone to see his potential. Elliot may be shy at first, but with patience and gentle understanding, he's ready to show you the loving companion he can become. Not every cat comes running for attention - some, like Elliot, prefer to write their love stories one careful chapter at a time. His friendship will be all the more precious for the trust you build together. We don’t know how Elliot is with other cats or dogs, but with slow, proper introductions, things are usually fine. Brownie is a gorgeous gal who is in need of a second chance at happily ever after. She is an incredibly sweet girl, quiet but very affectionate and friendly. Story
Templeton and his brother were taken from an especially rough hoarding situation. Police intervened and all animals were extracted. It took a while for Templeton to overcome his fear of being hurt, but he did it! And is he ever a silly boy! He would thrive in a home with another mild mannered cat, and currently lives with calm dogs. If you want to know more about this cat, email us here: wacvolunteers@gmail.com! * AGE: 2 years old * TEMPERAMENT: Lap cat, would be ok as a solitary or with another mild cat * Why are they at the shelter? Rescued by police * Any Health issues? None known but can be nervous in hectic surroundings * How are they with other cats? Dogs? Good but needs to be with gentle animals * Volunteer Comments? " Templeton is such a brave cat!" "He loves brushing and attention." Thank you for your interest in adopting a shelter cat! NOW HOW DO I MEET OR ADOPT THIS CAT? !. We will set up a time with you to meet the animal you've applied to adopt! ** NOTE: Our volunteers strive to make the best possible match once the application is accepted. Story
Approx birthdate 5/24/24 Vienna Vienna came in with her sisters, Latte and Mocha. She is the most shy of the three but is extremely affectionate and playful when she's comfortable. Her personality has always been a bit timid and will likely hide when guests visit but she is vocal and playful with her people. Her best opportunity would be adoption with her sibling(s) so they help her feel safe in a new place.  **All Shelter to Home animals are fully vetted per their age. We believe in pediatric spay and neuter. All animals will be spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV or heartworm, given age-appropriate boosters and rabies, dewormed, flea treated, and anything extra that is needed to give this animal a wonderful forever life in a permanent home. Adoption fees are usually $50 for cats and between $150-$250 for dogs, unless the pet is sponsored or we are running a promotion. Story
Due to technical issues with some adoption sites, please email us directly at info@sheltertohome.com to inquire about adopting or to ask questions. Please include the animal's name in the email. Aurora, who goes by Rory, was an outside cat that relied on kind people to put food out for her. They decided to try and TNR her to prevent kittens, but when they got her inside, realized she was way too sweet to be spayed and put back outside. After Rory was in a foster home, and then moved to our adoption center, she has fully blossomed into a cat who loves attention from people. She is extremely affectionate and getting more-so every day. She is fine with other cats, but has not been around dogs while in our care. I would really love to see her to go a home with another friendly cat. She could use the companionship, as well as continue her "training" on how to be a normal indoor cat. If you are interested in Rory, please email beagmom1@yahoo.com. **All Shelter to Home animals are fully vetted per their age. We believe in pediatric spay and neuter. Story
Birthdate 4/18/24 Hi Everybody!  My name is Georgie...or as I like to call me..Gorgeous Georgie.  My foster mommy likes to call me crazy Georgie because I am a fun loving playful kitten living in a house full of seniors. LOL!!  I really love it here, but my foster mom thinks I would love a place to play with another young cat or even a cat loving pup (call me skeptical Georgie)....Anyhoooooo, lets get back to talking about Gorgeous Georgie ( I am a handsome guy, aren't I??)  I love to play play play and then I love to snuggle a little bit.  I'm really pretty happy taking a nap close to, but not ON my people.  I was born April 18/2024 so, I'm still a very young little purr machine.  I am very easy going, curious, and everything a kitten should be!  My favorite things are playing with my spring toys and my little pink mousey, watching all the birdies outside and getting a good belly rub!  If you think you and I would make a good match click on that link for Shelter to Home. Thanks!! Email info@sheltertohome.com for an app! **All Shelter to Home animals are fully vetted per their age. We believe in pediatric spay and neuter. Story
Armondo and his brother, Alphie, are an inseparable bonded pair. As best buds, their companionship provides comfort and security, and they always have each other's back. They have come a long way while in foster care, but they will need time to accept new people and places when they are adopted. The boys would do best in a calm, quiet home. They are used to a small, mellow dog. They slept in bed with their foster mom, but are not fans of being picked up or having nail trims. Something you should know is that both brothers have heart murmurs and were diagnosed with VSD (Ventricular septal defect) as kittens, though you wouldn't know it as they behave just like normal cats. At his recent cardiologist appointment at MSU, his body has adapted very well to his heart defect and all other test results are normal. There is no need for medication or special treatment at this time. VSD is a heart defect that doesn't go away. The boys need a special person who is willing to be thoroughly educated on VSD and be mindful of his diagnoses. They will need to be mindful of changes in his behavior and to provide regular cardiology visits to monitor any progression of his heart problem. At some point, down the road, medication may be needed. **All Shelter to Home animals are fully vetted per their age. We believe in pediatric spay and neuter. Story
Alfie is a sweet, adorable, pretty boy with the softest belly fur. He'll flop on his back with a big stretch and wave at you for tummy rubs. He and his brother, Armondo, are inseparable and must be adopted together. Alphie is a calm fellow who likes his independence. He doesn't love being picked up and carried, but he loves pets and has developed a fondness for snuggling on the bed. He'll wiggle up on his foster mom's lap when he thinks she's not paying attention. He's very inquisitive, always wants to know where you are and what you're doing. His favorite playthings are pieces of string, feathers, little bugs, and anything that higgles under the covers. New places and faces, sudden loud noises and movements can make him feel frightened. With patience and plenty of time to feel safe, you'll see his true personality blossom. Something you should know is that both brothers have heart murmurs and were diagnosed with VSD (Ventricular septal defect) as kittens, though you wouldn't know it as they behave just like normal cats. According to the cardiologist, Alfie's VSD is a little more severe that his brother's due to it being slightly larger in size. Alfie has a follow up appointment scheduled at the cardiologist for December 16th. All prior medical records will be provided when the boys are adopted. **All Shelter to Home animals are fully vetted per their age. We believe in pediatric spay and neuter.
