Who are our Working Cats? Some cats are not social enough to live as indoor pets, and prefer an independent lifestyle. These cats have experience living outdoors and are proficient mousers. Since these kitties are happier and more successful outdoors, we put them to work in homes, farms, and businesses where they can do what they do best. All our blue collar kitties are spayed/neutered, FIV/FeLV negative, ear tipped, and fully vaccinated. Why hire a Working Cat? By hiring a blue collar kitty, you can avoid using toxic pesticides, save money on a pest control service, and provide a home to a cat in need. Adoption fees are waived for our Working Cats. Cats are also more effective than other methods of pest control because they act as a deterrent! If you are interested in adopting a Working Cat, please visit the shelter in person to start the process.

Story
Mili is a 8 year old gray tabby that was adopted from Adams County Animal Shelter, 5 1/2 years ago. Mili is very skiddish and needs a one person, female home. She does not like males and has never bonded with my husband. She was a stray that was brought to the AS so the first two years of her life are unknown, but I don’t think they were good. I am having heart health issues and it is getting harder to deal with a cat. I am now on blood thinners and worry about being scratched or bit, which has happened but very infrequently. I think she needs a home with a very patient, quiet female. Willing to chat with anyone who has interest. This is not being done easily and I have listed the profile and removed several times due to the difficulty of this decision, so your understanding is appreciated. Thanks very much!

Story
Merlin of “Catalot” is a very handsome, sleek, black house panther who is hoping to find his furever home soon.  Merlin is solid shiny black, with a small patch of white on his tummy, which he will reveal so you can gently stroked it! He is really a gentle soul who seeks attention as soon as he sees you. He is dreaming of a home with a loving person or people with whom he can play and cuddle with and maybe another kitty to play with! He loves to be played with, kissed, cuddled and then will lounge around with you! He absolutely loves having a good chin scratch and is food motivated!  Merlin was selected to cat test a new puppy and did great!  Puffed up, didn't run and showed the puppy who is boss.  Merlin is neutered and his immunizations are up to date. He is well socialized and can be with respectful dogs after proper introduction. He also plays with his siblings, other foster and resident cats in his foster home. He enjoys playing with cat dancers and likes to play in his mesh tunnel playpen. He uses littler boxes reliably.    Rezdawg’s adoption fees cover rescue and transportation, spay/neuter costs, deworming, microchips and vaccinations to bring our furry family members up to date at the time of adoption. Merlin is being fostered in the Colorado Springs area with 4 other siblings. He is waiting for his loving family to find him!  ##2243583##
