Story
Hey there, I`m Zeddicus! I don`t know much about my name, I`ve only had it since I came to MaxFund in late September 2019, but I`ve heard some volunteers say they think I should be named `Motor`. That`s because I have one of the loudest purrs you`ll ever hear, and I use it a lot!Someone took me in off the streets about a month before I arrived at MaxFund, probably because I`m such a friendly guy, but then eventually brought me to the shelter because they were worried about my health. These days I`m feeling good, though. If you come to visit me in my room at MaxFund I`ll immediately jump down and come sit in your lap...and start purring. I love attention, and *love* pets. I like treats a lot too. I`m still a young fella, so I`d probably be a pretty playful guy once I get a bigger space. It`s hard not to notice that I`ve got a big personality, the kind that fills up a room. One thing you need to know about me is that I am FIV-positive. It`s ok, I`m a young, strong guy and have many good years ahead of me. It just means that my immune system might be a bit weaker than that of others. Right now I`m in a room with another FIV+ cat, and we get along great! I am also diabetic which means that I need a special diet and insulin but my care is really very easy.Anyway, I guess all I`m looking for is a loving forever home, somewhere where I can get lots of pets and just be myself! I`m always appreciative of some pets and attention. If you are interested in meeting me, please call MaxFund to set up an appointment, as I am currently in Foster.

Story
Who’s the new love of your life? Me that`s who. Yep, my name is Who. I am a beautiful, sweet, 14 years young lady who will warm your heart as soon as you meet me. I came to MaxFund with a cat brother who I lived with for most of my life. Our human needed to relinquish us because she moved in with people who were allergic to cats. It was especially hard on me as my brother looked out for me and was really outgoing so he was quickly adopted once we got here, leaving me all alone. The good thing is that there are other nice cats here even if I am really shy and don’t get out much. I guess I am a bit of an introvert now that I have experienced this heartbreak. Here at the shelter, I have a great domed bed that allows me to hide out when I want and watch all the action in my room from safety and warmth. I do get along with children and other calm cats who respect my space. I have a nice toy mouse that I like, but my favorite thing to do is cuddle. Boy, can I cuddle better than most. Especially if you walk up to my second story apartment, I will rub up against you, give you kisses, and rest my head on your shoulder.Who has been in foster for the past year. She continues to do well in foster. She is on thyroid medication, gets monthly solensia injections for arthritis, and has recently been diagnosed with HCM, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. This is a serious heart condition and our medical team is treating it. We just added a heart medication to her daily regimen. As HCM progresses in her heart, it is likely additionally medications will be necessary. If you are interested in adopting Who or have further questions about her, please email fostercats@maxfund.org and our Cat Foster Coordinator will contact you.

Story
~foster or foster to adopt~Hello Lovely People, My name is Lacey and I`m a beautiful orange and white gal with gorgeous markings, including an adorable orange and white striped tail! I`ve been told that not only am I beautiful, but I have a ton of personality! If you are looking for an affectionate, easy-going, true `lap cat,` you need look no further. Sit down and I`ll quickly come over to your lap, nuzzle my head against your arm as I ask for head and cheek rubs. In return, I will gaze at you with the most grateful eyes you`ve ever seen and the sweetest purr you`ve ever heard. I might even melt your heart like the orange creamsicle some of my suitors say I resemble, tee-hee! Born in 2012, I may have just hit middle-age, but you sure wouldn`t know it by my alertness and energy. I do need to be in a quiet, stress-free environment where I am the only pet and where my guardians can keep a close watch on my right eye. I am currently in foster, but I would love to soon find my furever home!

Story
Hi wonderful people, I am the 13-year-young glossy black sweetie named Feonna. The unique spelling is just part of my individuality. People say that both my look and my voice are unique, which are just part of makes me such a special girl. I spent the last nine years of my life living with one family, and we were very happy. They taught me what love is and how wonderful it is to be chosen by a caring family. I had a great life, and all of a sudden, that came to an end in April. My family decided to move and not take me with them. I was stunned by their decision as I thought we were one family unit. I was so withdrawn when I first came to the shelter because I was devastated at my family’s abandonment and scared of my new environment, which had so many other cats in similar situations When people started showing me attention, I gradually learned that I am in a safe place with people who are looking out for me. I have been told that I have an unbelievably sweet little meow, which can seem like a squeak sometimes and almost voiceless at others. When you come to my apartment, I will immediately get out of my cozy bed and come greet you at the door because it is the polite thing to do, and, I’ll be honest, I really like the attention as people tend to walk right by me to see other cats. I love to have my head and chin scratched. It feels amazing. I will also chat with you about all the events of the day. I especially like to gossip about all the younger, crazy cats in my room at the shelter. I don’t quite understand why they feel the need to run everywhere when they can just take a leisurely stroll around the room, but I let them be them. I don’t lash out at anyone- cats or people. I just stay my mellow self. I am currently on a diet food to prevent me from gaining too much weight, but I hear that when I find my forever home, I probably won’t need to still eat it. My favorite thing to do is lie in the sun. I mean most cats like doing that, but I take it to a new level. I can search out a sunny spot no matter how small or hard to reach, and I will bask in the sun’s glory even with all the other crazy cats running around. Some even jump over me while I lie there, but I just stay in my relaxed, contemplative state. I don’t know why people have overlooked me for so long. I know that my person is out there waiting to find me too and give me the forever home that I want and deserve. I will be waiting in a nice sunny spot to give you all the lo

Story
~FOSTER BEFORE ADOPT~Watch out! It`s Stormin` Norman coming in! I`m the best belly rubbin` lovin` buddy in town! I am a 3 year old, neutered male, short-haired cat. I was relinquished to MaxFund February 2024 by no fault of my own, and now I am looking for my fur-ever home!My cute face and soft green eyes will make you melt! I`m the sweetest boy you`ll ever meet; I want to be the center of attention! I love to sit with my people, and belly rubs are my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE! For real! I know most cats don`t like them, but I don`t know why. They`re lovely! I would also love to lay on your lap and purr! I`m a sweetie pie, and if I`m not cuddling, I`m probably going to be finding the highest spot I can reach or napping by the window. I just love the warm glow of the sun. I also enjoy walking around the shelter, including on a harness! My friends here say I`m a very special boy for being so loving. You see, due to a tail pull injury, I got spinal cord damage, and because of it, I can`t go pee on my own anymore, or I just have no control over it. I tend to drip pee wherever I go. Despite that, I just adore people. Since I have some health problems, I have to have a foster period in my new home before you can fully adopt me. Please reach out to fostercats@maxfund.org if you want more information about me!I want to be a part of your life, I will give you tons of cuddles and hugs! If you think I would be a good fit for your home, please come to the shelter to meet me!The shelter hours are Sunday - Monday, & Wednesday - Saturday (Closed Tuesday) 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Closed 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM for lunch.
