Story
Luna is a Great Pyrenese Mastif. I saw her last summer when looking at goats on a farm. She is a guardian dog. She is so sweet and so smart. I have been trying to keep her basically as a lap dog in the suburbs, but luna needs more. She needs property to roam. She needs to be outside. As a guardian dog, Luna will bark and that doesnt work in this setting. She has been raised as a house dog and sleeps in my room. I am looking for someone who has property but will also intergrate her into the home ans family and not just have her outside. Luna needs some training to work on manners, but she is smart and will learn quickly with someone who has time to train her. I am newly divorced with 4 kids ans need to attwnd school full time a work and havent had time to work with her. I want to find the ideal home for Luna and am will wait til I find the perfect match. She loves her doggie brothers and id like her to have another dog friend.

Story
Josie, JLo, JoJo and Bubba are 4 very lucky puppies. These puppies were found with their mom and 1 other sibling on a back country road in a very rural town. They were starving, covered in fleas and ticks, dehydrated and had been out in that area for goodness knows how long. When a good Samaritan saw them, she did her best to get all 5 pups and mom, but only 4 pups came to her. The volunteer has since gone out every day after to check, and it seems like mom and the 5th pup have disappeared despite leaving food and water out for them ☹ The 4 the volunteer was able to pick up are all thriving. They are loving being inside animals and getting to run around in a yard, having access to food, water, shelter, and lots of love. Mom appeared to be a beautiful white lab/pyreneese/dogo/pointer mix that weighed approximately 60 lbs. The volunteer did not see a dad, so we are unsure of that breed. We think they could weigh between 55-75 lbs once full grown, depending. Josie, Jlo and Bubba have an extra toe on their back feet, which leads us to believe they are great pyreneese mix. Bubba has golden spotted specks on the bottom of his ears and JLo has black spots which also could be signs of pointer. We estimate they are around 3-3.5 months (approximately born around March 26, 2024) All 4 pups have their own quirks – They all are very sweet pups with a lot of personality. They all love the water and would make wonderful companions to go to lakes, oceans, rivers or just have a pool in the backyard to play in. They are all kenneled at night and are doing wonderful not using the restroom during the night. They get free roam of the house from 530am-10am and then 530pm-11pm. They are kenneled during the day and also do wonderful during that time not having accidents. The foster does have cats but her cats are not friendly and do not like dogs, so they haven't been that nice to the puppies. The foster does think if with dog friendly cat(s), they would do great with time and training. The foster wrote this about the puppies: Bubba – loves being outside. He is more shy than the others and kind of hangs back to himself, while the others play and run around. He is more of a watcher. He likes more quiet time and relaxing. Very food motivated. Gentle and kind natured. Loves other dogs and when he is around his siblings or personal dogs, will play like crazy. Lacks confidence so another dog in the home or somebody who is home more often and can help with confidence is a must. Bubba is an old, sweet soul. With some training, he will be a loyal best friend. Josie – Josie does have an impairment in one of her eyes. She does have reflexes in it and does have minimal vision. She is not in pain, and we believe she was born with this or an injury she suffered early on. Because she can partially see out of it, the vet does not believe she needs surgery to remove it. It does not stop Josie from being her awesome self. She acts like a tough girl, but she is very much a follower, not a leader. She does stand up for herself when her siblings pick on her. Loves attention from my older dogs because they don’t pick on her. Likes digging holes to lay in and cool down since its been so hot. Would be over the moon to have a toy chest and she is obsessed with toys and playing with them. She can easily entertain herself. She is a bit shy but likes attention from humans and other dogs. She loves playing with other dogs and being around them, another one in the household would benefit her. She also likes to talk to you when she wants something, whether it’s dinner or to let you know she wants you to throw the ball. Jlo – One of the most social, outgoing and fun ones of the bunch. Super sweet and gentle. She thrives to please her humans and she is obsessed with getting lots of attention and love from her humans. She is playful with or without dogs around and is very entertaining. Her favorite spot to sleep is under the bed. If she can, she will climb on whatever she is able to. She loves to watch everything from a taller height. Jlo is the smartest one of the bunch and is a quick learner. JoJo – More of a leader than a follower. She is the first to try things and the first one to run up to you when they see you coming. She is as obsessed with human attention as JLo is, if not more. She loves to please her humans. Very adventurous – would do best in a home that likes to take their dog out to play often and go on adventures and explore. Very curious girl. Loves to play with her humans and other dogs. Gets along with all dogs. She will whine when you’re sitting there and not petting her to try and get your attention. Also, very smart and a quick learner. Would make a loyal companion. TO APPLY TO ADOPT: Please fill out an application on our website to adopt: www.ruraltank.org/adopt Most of our animals are located in Texas unless otherwise specified at the top of their bio. They are available for transport once adopted – There are different companies we use, all are USDA licensed. We have transport companies that can go directly to your door (this option costs slightly more, but it’s a smaller transport and more one on one care). This company can go as far as the Canadian border along the east coast. We use larger companies who are just as fantastic, this transport is included in the adoption fee, but they meet at general stops along the route, depending on where adopters are located for that specific transport. Most transports have stops in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Connecticut. Transports leave every 1-3 weeks, depending. We go over more specifics once you are an approved adopter.
