Story
He's 6 years old. Will be 7 on May 10th, 2025. He's gentle with people and kids. He sits & wait for his food/treats. Does not snatch it out of your hand. Only barks when playing or wants your attention. He howls to sirens & is scared of the sound of fireworks. Gets along with medium to large dogs but when provoke he gets defensive. He generally does not get along with small dogs because they are aggressive towards him & he gets defensive. He's house & kennel trained. Sarge doesn't destroy things when left home alone & roam free. He likes his toys even after he destroyed it. He'll take it & sleep with it.

Story
FOSTER HOME NEEDED I am a good boy. I promise. When I was born I was a good boy with my brothers and sisters. When my new human family came to get me I loved them with all my heart. I was so happy. I was left alone in the tiny dirty side yard. But I loved my family and knew they would realize that I was a good boy and let me come inside to be their best friend. When the rain came and my tiny enclosure was so muddy, I was so cold. But a nice lady from animal control came to do a well check and my family made a small cover, placed some shavings on the ground and gave me water and food. I was sure that if I could stay clean they would love me. But the hot days started and my master must have fallen into hard times, I sometimes got meals and sometimes I did not. My neighbor who always had major fights with my master but always stopped to talk to me through the fence started to help with my meals and water. Something horrible must have happened to my family for them to disappear. I must get out of this enclosure to find them. As I planned my escape this nice animal control lady came to my home and took me away. I heard them say my family left me behind when they moved. Was I not a good boy?? I must find my family to let them know i am very sorry for any problem I may have caused and that I can be a good boy. I like it here . I walk outside to get attention from volunteers and sleep inside when the weather is bad. You see the shelter is full and I have been here the longest so I am back outside so they don't put me to sleep. They are very nice to me and I have such a big backyard now. I am able to keep clean and the kennel I use at night is also clean. Someone from Lucky Dog Rescue just came to see me and they told me they will look for.a foster family for me. I must have been a good boy. This is Gomes story. Since he was a puppy he was left in a tiny muddy side yard with no food water or shelter. After multiple visits from animal control the owner refused to surrender him and provided minimal shelter, food and water until they just moved and left him behind without water or food. The neighbor who often called animal control provided him with water and food through the fence. He is about one to 2 years old, is sweet and loves people. He needs to learn to not pull on leash walks, meet dogs more politely as he likes other dogs and gets excited, and learn to live inside a home. But he apears to be very clean. His kennel is clean and he will not pee or poop in it Gomes is medium energy dog , who gets cues from other dogs and backs off if he is being too much. So, he is excitable at first but calms down quickly with other dogs. He likes to jump on people but is learning not to. Shelter is full so in order not to euthanize him he was allowed to live in the back of the shelter. His days are numbered. If you can help him please let me know, olveiry@yahoo.com.

Story
🐾 Hello! I’m your joyful gal, Mistletoe! 🐾 I’m a beautiful Siberian Husky mix who is approximately two years young and weighs 59 lbs. I’m as floofy as they come! When you first meet me, you’ll notice my soft, luxurious tricolor and tan coat, twinkling brown eyes, pearly white smile, and boopable nose. It’s very rare you’ll find me not wagging my tail or smiling ear to ear with a toy in my mouth. I am full of joy and playfulness, and my happy energy is quite contagious! I’m a shelter volunteer favorite and any of my volunteer buddies will tell you how special I truly am. 😄 The best part of my day is when a volunteer comes to my kennel to take me to my favorite place — outside! At times, I can be quite loud in my kennel, especially when I see other dogs being taken out before me (waiting is hard)! Once I’m outside I’m on a mission to find the most squeakiest, squishiest, and fluffiest toy I can fit in my mouth! In between chasing toys, I love to get my energy out by running laps in the yard, but I always make time to check on my volunteer pal. I can keep myself entertained but boy, do I love those back scratches! There are a few select shelter doggos I enjoy running the fence line with, but if you do have a dog it’d be best for the staff to introduce us to see if perhaps we can be best fur-iends! I walk well on leash but can pull when I smell something that needs investigating. I can be easily reminded to wait and walk at your pace. I love sticks, leaves, and taking in the fresh air! My volunteer pals say I’m great at listening and can be trained with consistency, patience, and of course yummy treats! I love training with treats, especially those jerky ones, and I take them very gently. I can “sit” and I’m working on “down” and bringing toys back more consistently (not just when I feel like it 😉). I’m already vaccinated, spayed and microchipped and am ready to go home with you! So, if you’re looking for a companion who will fill your heart with joy, add some fun to your day, keep you company on adventures together, and love you more than all the squeaky toys and sticks in the world — I’m your gal! Can’t wait to meet you! ** Mistletoe would do best in a home without children ** ## See video of Mistletoe at the end of the photo gallery! ## TVAR.org/find-your-pet-adopt/dogs-puppies/ Mistletoe’s Shelter ID# is 84580.
