I am rehoming my pup, Tsumo (pronounced Sumo). He is the puppy of one of my dog, Neji. Based on recent unforseen changes, I am unable to continue care of Tsumo. He is a male 8-month Siberian Husky Rottweiler mix who is potty and crate trained. He is an energetic, loving puppy, who is people friendly.

I'm a laid-back and easygoing guy who loves to chase toys (though I don't always bring them back).  I love my walks and am excellent on a leash.  I enjoy the company of other dogs and people, especially kids.  Don't get me started  on how much I love belly rubs and ear scratches.  I am so happy to sleep in my crate at night.  While I might take a little time to warm up, once I do, you'll find I'm incredibly friendly and affectionate. I'm the perfect companion for someone looking for a relaxed, lovable friend.  My calm demeanor and funny antics are sure to make you smile.  I can't wait to find my forever home, where I can share all my love and joy with you!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.       Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Sasha is 6mos old, weighs 30lbs, is intact, is not up to date on her vaccines, and is not microchipped.  "I have her half-way house-broken.  She will hold it in all night and then go outside first thing at 5am to do her business.  She will show no signs of  going, though, so if you are not on top of her she will continue pee/poop as she pleases instead of a routine. She refuses to walk on a leash.  Big cuddler.  I rescued her from a former neighbor but she has turn our lives very chaotic with her possessive behaviors towards me.  Sasha dislikes/fears loud noises and thunder.  She loves car rides.  She's kept in her crate during the day and sleeps on her dog bed at night." Sasha's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome her:  "Sasha is a wonderful dog when things are calm or it's one on one.  She has become very possessive of me though and is starting to scare my family/other dog." Bite Incident:  On 26 April 2024, in Lothian, Sasha bit her male guardian's hand; the bite didn't break the skin, animal control was not involved, and medical attention was not required.  Sasha bit him when he attempted to pick her up to put her in the crate while the kids ate dinner. Sasha's guardian states the following regarding children:  Although Sasha lives with children, ages 4 & 7, her guardian doesn't recommend her living with children that young; she recommends Sasha living with children 10yo and older, as she's been good with children that age; she's "weary of younger, too loud for her". Sasha's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Although Sasha lives with a dog, her guardian doesn't recommend her living with dogs, stating "Aggressive towards my older male dog.  Constantly biting or growling at him". Sasha's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Sasha lives with cats, so her guardian recommends her living with cats, stating "Ignores them". Sasha's guardian describes her as: Very active Barks alot Playful Likes to be touched Protective Always at your side Indoor dog Nervous Crate-Trained Likes women Separation anxiety Digger Sasha's guardian describes her ideal future home:  "Sasha would do much better with a home with older kids or a couple-only family.  She is sweet and loving when it is a smaller setting.  Too many people or too much going on scares her and I think triggers her."   Rehoming Fee:  None Location:  Lothian, MD***** ADOPTION PROCESS  1. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. From the moment you meet Lady, her sweet, friendly nature and warm demeanor will capture your heart !  Her gentle eyes and wagging tail reflect her genuine affection for people, making her an instant favorite among both friends and strangers.  Because Lady loves everyone and every canine she meets, her impulse control is a work in progress. Lady absolutely LOVES the outdoors – except rain and then she becomes a diva – ha-ha. Lady is in her glory when it snows. She is truly perky and feisty in colder weather, but what Husky mix wouldn’t be! She is great with kids but given her strength perhaps not younger than 10; of course, this is child  and parent dependent. Lady’s foster mom loves her to the moon and back and wants the best for her. Lady recently  completed basic obedience training with H.E.A.R.T (Husky Education and Rescue Team). Lady needs a loving family she can call her own, a yard to run and play fetch, and maybe a dog playmate. Lady is ready for the final chapter of her life, her own loving family.  She was found as a stray,  but it is apparent that at one time she had a home given her manners – crate and house-trained.  Lady was a wonderful mother to her 8 puppies. While in our care, Lady was treated successfully for Heartworm.  Lady has had some benign mammary adenomas removed and a few remain that need to be removed as a precaution.  ASR will pay for this procedure. Please consider adopting Lady, or ask about our Foster to Adopt program. THANKS TO SEAN S. AND MARTHA S. FOR YOUR VERY GENEROUS SPONSORSHIPS OF LADY! If you have not yet completed our Application process, please complete our Adoption Application at www.allshepherdrescue.com. Our Adoption Fee is $350.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 17, 2024, 1:28 pm

Story
We do not promote any of our dogs as house trained or allergy friendly. Looking for a hiking buddy with a husky sense of humor? Meet Yogi, a 2-year-old, 50lb whirlwind of energy who's been waiting a little too long to find his forever pack. This 34% Husky, 42% GSD, and 24% Super-mutt is equal parts adventurous explorer and lovable goofball. Here's the lowdown on this one-of-a-kind dog: * Hiker extraordinaire: Forget Netflix marathons, Yogi's idea of a good time involves conquering mountains and chasing squirrels (safely, from a distance, of course). * Shower of affection (literally): Yogi's ecstatic greetings involve either a generous dose of puppy kisses or an enthusiastic offering of his favorite toy. Be prepared for love attacks! * Structured silly goose: He thrives on routine and loves to please, but his Husky roots sometimes manifest in enthusiastic "conversations," especially if you're on the phone. Apartment living might not be his cup of tea, despite his previous foster not getting any complaints (townhouse), we don't want to push it. * Crate-tolerant, treat-motivated: While not a fan of his crate, a few tasty treats can work wonders in convincing him to settle in. * Aloofness is his charm (maybe): He might seem a bit aloof at times, but don't be fooled, this goofball loves nothing more than being around his humans. He might occasionally test boundaries, but his loyalty and intelligence make him a joy to train. * Mood reader extraordinaire: Yogi picks up on your vibes like nobody's business. Feeling nervous? He'll sense it. Feeling adventurous? He's ready to explore! Just remember, training is key, especially when meeting new people, as his excitement can get the best of him. Yogi might not be the perfect fit for everyone, but for the right family, he'll be the most loyal, loving, and adventurous companion they could ask for.
