Story
Hello my name is McIntosh, I’m from Minnesota! Meet McIntosh (Mac for short), the sweetest pup looking for his forever home! Mac is a playful, loving, and well-mannered young dog who is thriving in his foster home. He’s making great progress with crate training and house training and sleeps through the night in his kennel! He is even walking well on a leash. He’s food-motivated, which makes training a breeze—he’s a smart little guy who picks up on things quickly, especially when treats are involved! Mac is fantastic with kids and has a great balance of energy and affection. He loves to romp around with chew toys and play, but when it’s time to settle down, he’s also a top-tier snuggler. He enjoys playing with the resident dog in his foster home and has been curious and playful with cats so far. With proper introductions, he’d likely do well in a home with other pets. If you’re looking for a well-rounded companion—one who’s playful, affectionate, and eager to learn—Mac might be the perfect match for you. He’s ready to bring joy, fun, and cuddles to his new family. Could that be you?

Hello my name is Fuji, I’m from Minnesota! Fuji is just so stinking cute! Not only are his markings on his face but he has a very sweet demeanor. He seems to love all humans and does well with other dogs. He does seem to get excited around kids as well. Fuji passed the huskie test and when howled at, he howled too. Must be some huskie in his DNA! He dies like to sing as well when he thinks he is alone at first. So maybe shared walls would not be a good idea. Potty training is a work in progress.

Hello my name is Jonagold, I’m from Minnesota! Jonigold really does have a heart of gold. He's been very good with all humans, other dogs and kids. He has a playful personality and has started playing with a ball. He likes to chase it. He enjoys wrestling with his brother. If you ever wanted a live stuffed teddy bear, that is what he reminds me of. He's just so sweet and cuddly. We are just getting to know each other but he certainly has a great puppy demeanor. He is a pretty laid back little guy right now. He will make someone or some family a wonderful companion. He is just a puppy so training and potty skills are in the works yet. But he is most certainly, worth the effort!

Story
Griffey (as we call him) was displaced by the California wildfires and has been through quite the experience since January. He was initially in a LA shelter then flown to a rescue in Utah where he spent a month before a second flight to Iowa where a volunteer welcomed him into RAGOM’s care. You’d never know that Griffey has been through so much disruption given his happy and exuberant personality. Griffey has been with us about a month and here’s what we’ve learned so far. Griffey has many of the traits common to the Husky breed. He’s wicked smart, stubborn, affectionate, thrives with physical and mental exercise and is quite the looker. Like most Huskies, we say Griffey has two speeds-full speed and asleep. When it’s time to crash, Griffey loves, loves, loves to snuggle with his humans. He is currently residing with three other medium to large breed dogs and a cat. Griffey does great with our resident dogs but is overly interested in our cat so a home without a cat is required. We’ve been working on basic command training and so far, Griffey has mastered “sit”, “lie down” and respects “no” most of the time. Thankfully, he is treat-motivated which makes training a bit easier. As a Husky, Griffey is hard-wired to pull so leash training has been a big focus. He’s doing much better on-leash but still a work in progress. Griffey is not crate-trained. We have worked up to an hour in the crate a few times during the day. At night, however, he does sleep in our bed and doesn’t move or make a peep all night. He truly is a Class A snuggler. Speaking of peep, like most Huskies, Griffey does like to “talk”. He’s not a barker but does make a pretty adorable “woo woo woo” sound to let you know he’s happy, excited or to protest when he’s not interested in what you’re asking him to do. He does not react to the doorbell or other noises. During Griffey’s first few days in our home, he did attempt to mark. We worked on that behavior, and it resolved pretty quickly. He has not attempted to mark indoors in multiple weeks. We’ve also been taking him to visit our vet clinic, PetSmart and our trainer’s facility so he gets continued testing where there is lots of dog scent. He’s been a very good boy with no further marking. Finally, Griffey is very accepting of nail trims, baths and brushing. Griffey is ready to find a home of his very own. We think Griffey would do well in a home with or without another dog. As a working breed and high energy dog, Griffey would thrive in an active home, and one committed to providing him the physical AND mental exercise he needs to be happy and healthy. BTW, Griffey does enjoy a challenging food puzzle. Griffey also needs an adopter(s) who is committed to continuing his training through positive reinforcement and leadership. An owner with prior Husky or working dog experience would be a plus. And, if you need a buddy to hit the road with, Griffey’s the one! Always up for adventure, Griffey loves car rides with his human. He is the perfect gentleman in the car and usually curls up for a nap. Riding shotgun is his favorite, but he’ll settle for the back seat if you insist! What to learn more? Story
Welcome Leia to CCPAL Rescue Foster program. Leia is a 5 month old pup that is Husky/Staffordshire Terrier. A picture of the mom and dad are available. Both are very friendly and social dogs. The pups would be good with children. Lia is the most shy of the 4 pack. All these pups are smart and willing to learn and work well when you train with them. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. The unspayed female was around the male and in just minutes she was pregnant with 10 puppies. These 5 are still available for adoption. All have had 3 rounds of puppy shots, microchipped and will be altered before adoption. Their mom is 65 pounds so we think these pups will be 65 pounds. They know sit, wait and are the ultimate water dogs. They like to play and swim in the foster’s swimming pool. They would all make great camping companions. They love other dogs and all people including kiddos. They have the bushy coat like the Husky and several of them have ice-blue eyes. Lia is the smallest female. She is a little shy but sweet and one of the more vocal. She would warn you if someone was at the door or at the fence. She is a nice girl and since he is the smallest girl we think he will for sure be 55 pounds. She is mostly potty trained but will need more consistency than the foster can provide with 4 puppies. They are good in a crate and in a car. They are currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get any of this litter (2 girls and 2 boys) to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Maggie is an energetic young female that is sweet and smart. Maggie was in a rough situation where owner had too many dogs and could not afford vet care. She had a litter of puppies and was a great mom. We got her spayed and updated on vaccinations so she is very much ready for a forever home! Maggie is a perfect size, not too big and not too small. 😊 She loves attention and is very affectionate. Maggie does great w/bigger dogs and would be fine with older children. She is housetrained and does well on a leash.

Story
Top of the mornin' to ya! It's me Mullen, the most pleasant lad you'll ever meet! You don't hear about many Irish Siberian Huskies now do ya? But, here I am! With my ginger-red coat I am the talk of the town, however, I can only be adopted in my town because I am kind of an anxious kind of fellow. I love other dogs and must be adopted with another calm/confident dog please. My new owners need to be patient and great at building confidence in me, as I never was loved on as a pup so I am still nervous with new people and in new situations. However, I am very smart and learn quickly!! Some basic information about Mullen; he is male, Siberian Husky mix, and expected to be medium-sized (20-59lbs). Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
Haku means "pure" in Japanese! I was named for my pure, passionate and overwhelming love for everyone around me! I came to the rescue when my dad was stationed in Japan and heartbroken that he couldn't take me with him. I've missed him so much ever since! Everyday I do the things I did with him with other dogs so I can try and remember what it felt like to be with him! But it's just not the same. So, I'm hoping a new family can come scoop me up and show me what it feels like to be a part of a home and family again! I am good with other dogs, I love playing chase with them or tugging on chew toys. I'll need a happy and active home so that my life will be full of love and fun! I am a bit anxious and nervous around new people, and people in general! Slow introductions, a safe space I can retreat to like a crate and not forcing me into spaces with tons of people will help me be myself all the time! Haku can only be adopted in the local or TX area. Local adoption only, in San Antonio or TX area, $200.
