Story
Avery is a 15-week-old husky mix who is as playful as he is affectionate. Currently weighing 28 pounds, Avery is expected to grow into a medium to large-sized dog. This smart, active pup loves playing in the yard with the other dogs in his foster home and thrives on being in the middle of the action. He also has a habit of “booping” his foster’s face when excited, a morning ritual that never fails to bring a smile. At night, he enjoys snuggling by your head and never misses a chance for kisses. Avery is almost house-trained, showing great promise with consistent effort. He hasn’t attempted crate training in his current foster hom, but his treat and food motivation make him very trainable, and his eager-to-please personality ensures he’s always ready to learn. While he prefers having someone home often or the companionship of another dog, he adjusts well with proper support. He hasn’t met cats or children yet, but he is overall friendly and adjusts well to new surroundings. Avery loves squeaky toys and spending time with people and other dogs. With a medium energy level, Avery enjoys daily walks and will benefit from an environment that offers both playtime and cuddles. While he currently has access to a fenced yard, he may do fine with a tie-out in the right home. Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional's recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal's history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
