Story
Location: Sioux Falls, SD Meet Daisy: A Gentle Soul in Need of a Loving Home Daisy, a beautiful white Husky mix, has a story that will touch your heart. Despite her stunning appearance, Daisy has faced severe abuse in her past, leaving her deeply scared and in need of a special kind of love and attention. Daisy's journey hasn't been easy. After being adopted and then returned due to behavioral issues (lack of socialization requiring more patience with training) she has found herself in search of a forever home once again. Daisy requires slow and careful introductions to other dogs, but she does fine around cats. Her biggest fear is humans, but despite this, she has shown no aggression towards people. Instead, she cowers and withdraws, making it clear that she needs someone who can gently push her out of her comfort zone and show her that not all humans are to be feared. Currently, Daisy is taking medication to help manage her anxiety. With the right environment, patience, and understanding, Daisy has the potential to thrive and transform into a loyal and loving companion. She needs a quiet, stable home where she can feel safe and gradually learn to trust again. If you have the heart and home to offer Daisy the second chance she deserves, please consider adopting this gentle soul. She may need some extra care, but the love you'll receive in return will be immeasurable. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Byron, MN Elf (we call him buddy) is an energetic teenage puppy looking for his forever home. He is fully potty and kennel trained. He uses a doggie door which allows him to play in fenced yard, loves to play ball and be outside. He has puppy energy and sometimes forgets how big he is so slow intros to smaller kids/dogs. He would do best in a home with a fenced in yard and another big dog to play with. He does love attention and to cuddle so would be fine as an only dog as well. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Location: Sioux Falls, SD Hi, I'm Mocha! We've never met but I already love you because I love EVERYONE- men, women, children- I love them all. I'm very smart and like learning new tricks. I am a bit of a Velcro dog- don't be surprised if I peek my head in the shower just to make sure you're still there. I want to play, but I'm more of a fan of "chase me than fetch. When I'm super excited, I like to try and talk- I guess that's the husky in me! I would love to be a lap dog but I'm a big girl. If you set boundaries with me, I do good at respecting the furniture and will only jump up when you call me. I am house trained - I have had zero accidents in my home. I chew my toys, but not the shoes. I take treats very gently. I love going on walks but get excited by small critters and other dogs/people. I do walk best in a harness. I'm told I have a prey drive toward smaller animals - cats, dogs, squirrels, bunnies. I am dog selective and need slow intros to other dogs. I would be ok with another dog in the home as long as they are my size or bigger and we've had proper introductions with plenty of supervised playtime. I do great in my kennel. I know it's time to relax when my foster tells me to go to my room. Once in my kennel, she always gives me a treat and I have no accidents while she's at work. As you can see, I'm gorgeous and I know it. I hate to brag, but my foster says I'm a very sweet, loving, smart, goofy, playful dog. I need a family that understands that I may never be a dog that can go to the dog park or socially hang out with other dogs due to my dog sensitivity. But I do promise to love you unconditionally and be the sweetest dog ever to my family. ----- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Cottage Grove, MN Hi, I'm Bulma! I'm the happiest and most affectionate young pup there is, just look at my big smile! If you look closely you will see I have a beauty mark in the shape of a heart on my forehead. This suits me because I am a big love bug! I'm loving home life and am most happy when I'm around my people. In my foster home there are two children, a dog and a cat. I love them all! I adore kids and get so excited to see them, I shower them with kisses.I sleep in my kennel at night and do not mind it, I also don't have accidents in the house as long as I'm on a consistent schedule. I am still a puppy but I'm past the nippy stage and I do not chew on things that I am not supposed to. I enjoy being outside and going for walks. As I mentioned earlier, I love people and want to be where you are. Doing the dishes? I'll lay on the floor next to you. Watching tv? I will cuddle with you. I just want to be close and in the mix! I'm still a puppy and am learning my manners, but my foster mom says I'm such a good boy and I'm very smart. I would love a family of my very own, I will do great just about anywhere. Please give me a chance and I promise you a lifetime of love and kisses! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Sioux Falls, SD Fettuccine, the lively lab, is all set for a paw-some adventure! Bursting with energy for games of fetch and tug-of-war, he's a kennel pro at night and when you're out, though it takes him a moment to unwind. Leash manners are a work in progress, but he's a quick learner with potential. Balls are his jam, and he's quite the social butterfly with his dog pals. His exuberance might be a bit much for tiny humans, simply because he's not aware of his size. Fully potty-trained, he's a champ at holding it and gives you a heads-up when nature calls. This cheerful pup adores car rides and snuggling up by your side. ----- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Location: Sioux Falls, SD Kiss is an amazing, smart, loving pup! She is great with kids and loves her toys! Kiss loves to be around people and likes to snuggle while chewing on squeaky stuffies. She is crate trained and house trained! She does well with other dogs and will say hi to cats and then basically leave them alone. She does well on the leash and only pulls to chase squirrels and bunnies. Kiss loves looking out the front window and watching people and critters in the neighborhood! Apply on our website ( https://www.healingheartsrescue.org/adopt )  to  set up a private meeting or check below for my adoption event schedule. Age: 10 years old Weight: 82 lbs Dog friendly: yes, companion dog required Cat friendly: yes Kid friendly: yes Potty trained: yes Crate trained: no, will use an x-pen *Companion dog required* Hi! My name is Kodiak. But you can call me Kodi! Not to toot my own horn, but I am a beautiful Husky and Malamute mix. I spent nine years with my previous family until they could no longer care for me. I had a dog sister and cat brother that I loved very much. I've proven myself to be great with dogs of all sizes and cats too! My whole world changed overnight and that was pretty hard for me at first. I had some separation anxiety in the beginning. But after I had some time to settle in, I understood that being in rescue means I am still safe and loved. I would definitely consider myself a gentle giant who absolutely loves a good cuddle. Wherever you decide to hang out I'll be there to provide a nice and fluffy pup to hug. I am a "pack dog" through and through. I love every human I meet, and I'm great with kids too!  When I go to the dog park, sometimes it's hard for me to decide whether to say hi to the humans or the dogs first.  I would be great for humans who work from home or have flexible schedules so I can get potty breaks during the day. I don't do well in a crate. But if you want to contain me in an x-pen or an area in the house, I'll just hangout there until you come back home. Once I fully settle in, you may be able to just let me hangout without containing me when you leave like my foster mom does. Keep your counters clear when you leave though! I'm a tall boy, and I may investigate food that's eye/nose level while you're gone. I'm a proud member of the "Woo -Woo" crew and love to talk when I'm excited. (Checkout my video). I know I am an older boy, but I still love walks and trips to the dog park.  I really just want to be with you. I like to relax/snooze next to you during the day, but I will happily hop in your car for our next adventure.   I've been waiting for my new family for a while, but rescue has taught me that my best days are still ahead of me. I know you're out there. I can't wait to meet you!  Adoption Fee: $325  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.INTERESTED IN MEETING ME? You may have first noticed me because how gorgeous I am--no one can resist these blue eyes! But I'm not just all beauty--I am also sweet as can be. There's nothing I love more than sitting on the couch next to my foster parents and snuggling as close as I can. I greet everyone I meet with a smile and a wagging tail: dog, human, kiddo, anyone! I love playing with my foster sister zooming and wrestling, but when it's time to rest I am such a good girl. I can be left out in the house all day without getting into anything, and for a husky I am very chill! I'm soooo close to being fully potty trained and definitely know I should go outside, but sometimes I can't hold it that long. Like most huskies I do make some cute awoos, but really only when I'm actively playing--otherwise you won't even know I'm here. I'm a very adaptable girl who is just so happy to be in rescue. I'm very eager to please and make you happy, and take so well to any redirection needed. Please come meet me--you will fall in love! I'll make such a great member of any family. Will it be you? Story
Hi! I'm Styles. I am from Minnesota. Styles is a good boy with the typical Husky characteristics. He is friendly to everyone he meets and enjoys loving on the kids in his foster home and giving kisses. He also enjoys playing with the resident dog that is ok with his mouthy play. Styles has a lot of energy. A home that can keep him stimulated and active would be best. He is crate trained and will go in his crate without a problem. When excited, he does howl, so a home without shared walls would be best. His favorite thing to do is hang outside in the yard and keep watch for the bunnies that live under the shed in the back. This boy has a high prey drive and is very interested in little critters when they catch his eye. It is unknown if he is good with cats. He is learning leash manners. If coming across a squirrel or small bird he does get excited and want to pull. Using a gentle leader seems to help but he is still getting used to wearing one and is not the biggest fan.

These pups are in Buffalo, Minnesota too!

Story
Location: Elk River, MN My name is Tundra and I am your classic sassy mouthed Malamute! I am too busy loving life to pay attention to one thing for very long, I know how to sit but I feel a type of way about it and tell you without any hesitation. I love to play with anything; people, dogs, toys and really anything that fits in my mouth. I am not even a year old so I am this big ball of fluff and sass with a healthy hearty dose of energy. I do okay on a leash but I can definitely learn to do better with it! The people at Dakotah's Doggy Daycare have been trying to work with me during the time they have during the day, they tell me I am a smart and handsome boy and they love me! I am easily excited over smaller animals, cats and small dogs so a home without them would be best for me! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
