Story
This is the third husky I’ve had, wonderful dog and amazing breed. He is a purebred dog from a line that has been bred since the 1950’s so he’s 100% husky. The issuei am having is my role has changed for work, and I am now required to travel 90% of the time. He’s not getting the attention, work, or love he needs and I don’t want to continue to have to board him, as he has anxiety when it’s too long. He loves people, dogs, kids, and just about everything except maybe small outdoor creatures. He’s all up to date on shots, heartworm, flea and tick prevention. When I’m able he gets 5 good walks a day, and tug and play time at home. He has attended some daycare to socialize and also socializes on walks. He’d be very good as himself or part of a pack.

Story
I`ve been fostering Trixie for 3 months now. She`s a beautiful dog with a great personality! Trixie is very energetic & intelligent. She is friendly with every person & dog that she meets. However, I would not recommend she be placed in a home with children under 18 as she can be temperamental with people who make quick or unexpected movements towards her ??. She can be mouthy when playing, but she is easily corrected??? She does have some trust issues, but they dissipate as she gets to know you ??. Trixie does have a tendency to be food-possessive, and I have not been able to break her of that. (We recommend continued training & research for these behaviors ??) She knows several commands, & she is an excellent walker on the leash. She does need a home that has a fenced-in backyard or a dog park nearby as she does have A LOT of energy which is typical for her breed. I would recommend exercising her 4 to 5 times a week. She was a little picky about her food, but now she seems to like anything I give her. She loves riding in the car and enjoys Rita’s icees…lol` This is the list of commands that I have taught her so far:sit + stay + down + wait + let`s go + this way + leave it + kennel + come + give + fetch.` ???? Trixie appears to be enjoying her time in foster care, but she truly needs to find an adopter who can be patient, loving, & willing to provide consistent training. If you are interested in being her new favorite human(s), submit your application today?????

Story
Meet Maxwell. This handsome boy came to the shelter as a stray in December. Sadly with no owner stepping up to reclaim him, we must do our best to find him a new home. So far we have seen that Maxwell is a very happy and energetic boy who lives to be around people and other pups. He still has a very puppy like attitude and would do well in a home with another dog who is laid back but can still teach him the ropes. Since he is a very energetic dog, small kids are not an option. We feel that he would knock them over while he was running through a house trying to burn off some energy. Maxwell does needs a 6ft fence and someone with husky experience. If you think Maxwell would be a great addition to your sled team, please reach out.

Story
This stunning boy here is Dash/Havoc he came in as a stray with a microchip and with no luck his owner did not come for him, so we do not know anything from is past other than his vision is impaired other than that he is a very happy fella. He is vocal like your typical Husky and very outgoing also walks nice on leash and knows basic commands. we are unsure how he will do with others so as always, a meet and greet is required.
