He may do well with a well-matched dog friend or a dog-savvycat after a slow and careful introduction. Story
Violet is a shy, tender girl who has recently been through a number ofchanges. Once she knows you, she is silly and sweet. It is just that newpeople and places can be scary. Good girl Violet is hoping for a family ofher own that will keep her world small at the start. With time andpatience, she will be able to adjust to her new environment and get just abit braver. Living with a calm helper dog may aid Violet in learning howto behave in her new family. A dog savvy cat or children with shy dogskills would probably work. Since she is a transfer from down South, weare not sure of her inside manners. Adopters should be prepared to puppyproof the house. This really nice girl needs a family of her own. Wouldyou like to meet her? Visit Violet at the MSPCA in Methuen on Tuesdaythrough Sunday from 12PM to 4:30PM.

Story
This handsome bob tailed boy is called Stevie, short for Steve Cropper.  He was found on a very hot and dry August day the first of August and honestly he was near death from lack of food and water.  The asphalt was treacherously hot and his body was not holding up in all the 100+ degree heat.   A kind soul who is in the music industry took him home but honestly could not house him for more than a few days due to heavy travel and being on the road with his music obligations.  Some people told him to do just take him to a shelter (they are full) and lie about him trying to bite a child.  That way they would take him and put him to sleep for safety of the community.  This could not have been the fartherest thing from the truth.  A wonderful foster for Critter Cavalry was contacted and she absolutely jumped at the chance to help Stevie.   No regrets for one minute that she did either.  He is a wonderful  1 year, 50 pound boy that is  Lab/Aussie/Pit mix and possesses the most caring heart and kindest spirit.  He plays with everyone at the doggie daycare and wags that nub of a tail as fast as he can wag it when greeting people.  He is a dog that didn’t deserve to be euthanized when all the options were not exhausted.  We know that this smart and playful boy will be some family’s prized possession and love.  He is housetrained it seems and he is crate trained as well.  He is respectful of other dogs and their space and not once ounce of bad traits exist in this boy.  Step right up and let’s consider Stevie for your family or just you if you are single.  Write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 6, 2025, 2:04 pm
