Story
Dorothy is such a cute dog - her ears flop up and down and it's the cutest thing! You can tell she has just been through so much - it's breaks our heart, she also has a pretty good size scar/patch on her back that the vet is guessing is from long-term flea dermatitis that was not being cared for. She will meet you with a gentle tail wag and a sweet nuzzle into your hand with her nose - she just makes you melt and she LOVES attention!  Dorothy is around five years old and 29 pounds. She's a nice medium size lab mix, who has a lower energy level to most - calm and quiet . She loves her people and loves to be fussed over She is crate trained, and walks well on a leash too.  Info from her foster mom Jan - She is great on a leash & loves to go for walks. She’s crate trained & sleeps all night in one. She’s ok with other dogs & walked with my big guy, but she didn’t initiate play & tended to play more by herself. She’s low maintenance & pretty low energy but loves to play fetch. She does have a prey drive, so not sure how’d she do with cats. She loves to be petted on but isn’t pushy about attention. I think she’d do well as an only dog or with other dogs as long as they aren’t all over her. She is an all around good dog & easy to keep! _________fostered in Saugus, MA- Fill out an application today and get preapproved to adopt her!   please remember we are all volunteers, incomplete applications will not be processed If you are interested in adopting a GBP rescue PAL, please submit an application and we will reach out to you within 48 hours to start the approval process. https://galsbestpal.com/adoption/ It’s ok if you don’t know exactly what you are looking for, we are experts in matchmaking and can talk with you and figure out what PAL would be a good fit for your home! Story
Adoptable in: MAGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: YesGood with kids: Yes (13+)Crate trained: Working on itHouse trained: YesAce is an adorable pup who adores snuggling, playing tug of war, and hanging out with his humans! Anyone who meets him falls head over heels for this gentle and silly little goofball. He gets along well with many dogs, especially older and calmer ones who can match his mellow energy level, and he has a blast at daycare with his furry friends. Ace is already house-trained and is currently working on crate training - he's a total champ at overnight crating and is actively making progress with daytime crating.A perfect day for Ace starts with a nice walk (where he loves to say hello to new people with a friendly howl!) and then he spends the rest of the day chilling on the couch with his chew toys and his family. He's highly motivated by food and will do just about anything for a tasty treat, so further training should be a piece of cake. He also thrives on routine, so having a schedule will help him settle into his new environment.Ace is the ultimate companion animal - he feels much more confident and comfortable when he's around his humans so he has some separation anxiety, which is slowly improving in his foster home! Because of this, he would do best with a family that is home more often than not. Additionally, he tends to be vocal when anxious (and even when he's happy and excited - this chatty boy loves to say hello!). Ace is best suited for a single-family home.Ace is a fantastic dog who is eagerly waiting to meet his forever family! Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org.August 19, 2024, 12:12 pm
