Story
Beautiful Winter is looking for her forever home and available to meet you, and your current furry friend, if you have any! Our pretty girl is a mixed breed, approximately 3 years old, fully vetted, microchipped and weighs 50 lbs. She has an all-white coat with speckles of tan dots sprinkled throughout. Winter is good with other dogs and would do well in a home with a happy, playful, well-adjusted dog(s) looking for closeness and a 4-legged companion. Fast play and tumbling around does not deter Winter. She may defer to her 4-legged companion for guidance and comfort, so it is essential that her play buddy has a caregiving nature, enjoys having a friend and has a mentoring soul overall. With that said, it is not essential that Winters forever home has another dog. Either way, we are looking for an experienced home that is calm, low key, and has compassion with a good understanding of animals that may take a little more time digesting new things. Winter can be bashful/shy when meeting new people at first so a quiet home with no children is best. Having a routine works very well for Winter. She does well on leash, enjoys walking and would enjoy hikes in the wilderness. She likes to play ball, is extremely smart, agile, knows her basic commands, is a definite thinker and learns quickly. She is crate trained, rides well in the car, and is currently in a foster home with another dog and 2 cats. Challenging her intellectually and physically gives her confidence and purpose. Her new home should have a completely fenced in yard (no invisible fence for Winter please). Winter’s soul will continue to blossom with your love, guidance and understanding. In return, she will bond with you wholeheartedly with affection, loyalty and devotion. If interested in learning more about Winter, and meeting her, please email Adoptions@smilingdogfarms.org and please include a phone number where you can be reached. WE ANSWER ALL EMAILS. PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN AN EMAIL FROM US. Please Note: We are always in need of foster homes for our dogs. If you're interested in making a difference in a dog’s life, we would love to share with you what it means to be a foster parent.

At 11 months old and nearly full grown, these pups are just the right size—not too big, not too small, but perfect for snuggles on the couch and adventures in the great outdoors. With friendly, outgoing personalities, they love to romp and play with toys, chase balls, and wrestle with their doggy friends. These smart pups are eager to learn and full of potential, making them fantastic companions for a family or a solo adventurer looking for a hiking buddy, a town explorer, or just a loyal shadow to follow them around the house. And when the day is done? They’ll happily curl up by your side for some quality cuddle time.   These sweet pups come from an unwanted litter, but they were lovingly cared for by their owner, who hoped to find them homes before turning to us for help. While the owner described them as Heeler and Black and Tan Coonhound mixes, we think we see a dash of Pointer or Lab in their sleek coats and athletic builds. Their exact heritage may be a mystery, but one thing is certain: they’re 100% adorable and 100% ready for their forever homes.   Ready to meet your perfect-sized, loving adventure buddy? Lenny, Lottie, Levi, Lester, and Lewis are waiting for you!       * The adoption fee of $525 includes age-appropriate vaccines, initial de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, microchip and transport fee.   * The application is the first step in all inquiries and adoptions     Canine Compassion Fund - Online Adoption Application www.caninecompassionfund.org/Forms/OnlineAdoptionApplication   Additional information is available on our site  caninecompassionfund.org January 20, 2025, 12:17 pm
