Meet Hazelnut, an adorable nine-month-old, 45 lb. pointer mix with the cutest speckle coat and big pointy ears. She was found roaming in a field in Texas with a shih tzu (adopted) a few months ago. She’s currently in Texas awaiting an adopter or foster so she can travel up north to find her furever family! Hazelnut is a high energy girl ready to be the life of the party! She is active, loves to play, can't get enough of her toys, and absolutely loves other dogs. She'd be thrilled to have a doggy companion in her furever home. She's super sweet and never says no to a snuggle. Hazelnut is fine around the kids but may knock a young one down so older children are recommended due to her exuberance. Due to living on the streets, she has never had training before so she'll need someone to guide and teach her basic manners and obedience. A home with a fenced yard is a must. Hazelnut will make a wonderful addition to any home! Her adoption fee is $450 and she is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and spayed. Story

Riley is a one year old Pointer mix that is about 36 pounds. His foster family absolutely loves this sweet boy. When Riley first came to our rescue, he was terrified and anxious. Through lots of work and the dedication of volunteers and some time in a loving foster home, Riley has blossomed. He is house trained and knows basic commands like sit, stay, and down. He is a great leash walker and loves to play with his foster dog siblings. While Riley loves a good hike or game of fetch, he also loves to snuggle on the couch. Riley loves going for walks and is very food motivated. Although Riley can be timid when meeting new people, he warms up quickly especially when treats are involved. Riley would love a home with a dog sibling and a family that will continue to build his confidence. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. Boston is the sweetest boy and will wiggle his way into your heart the moment you meet him. He is playful, curious, and snuggly. He loves a game of fetch, going for rides in the car, a good chew, and spending time with his person. He's fascinated by anything that flies and loves to track all of the interesting scents in the backyard. With each new experience Boston is learning that world isn't so scary and that people can be trusted. He enjoys the company of other dogs. Boston will spend quiet time in his crate and is fully house trained. At this time Boston would do best in a home without children. This boy is a trainer's dream- he's so attentive, eager to please, and food motivated. He loves to learn. Boston is a English Pointer/Retriever mix. He's up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and monthly preventatives. He is neutered and microchipped, too. Star is a super sweet, 45 lb, mixed breed, rockstar of a dog! She is great with other dogs, kid-approved, friendly when meeting new people, and well socialized. She is loads of fun and will be a great partner for rambling around the back yard, hikes, a good game of fetch, and any fun activities you can think of. She is crate & potty trained so she should make a smooth transition to her new home. Star is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. Olivia is a new mother who just weaned her pups, she was the best mom but is ready to move on and find a forever home for herself. She is so sweet, everyone loves her. She is good with kids, other dogs and shows no interest in the cat. We honestly don't know her exact breed but I used a breed identifier and that is what I got. She was abandoned when she was pregnant but it didn't hurt her spirit at all, she is loving and sweet, loves to run with her foster siblings and play with soft toys. She is going to make an awesome companion for someone. She is currently housed outside, she never uses the bathroom inside the building and prefers to go after she is let out of her kennel area. I believe she was a house dog at one time and that she will be very easy to potty train. Everyone seems to want pups but don't forget the moms deserve loving homes too. Olivia Olympic is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Simone Biles is one of Olive Olympic's pups. She is approximately 7 weeks old and absolutely adorable. She will be ready to travel to her new home on September 11th. Simone Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm.
