Story
Hello, Our wonderful Hercules needs a new home. We are about to have our second child and our first child is only 18 months so “2 under 2”. He is a very well behaved pup and has gone through professional training but he has one problem that requires him to have a new hone. He get too excited around our 18 month old and attempts to “herd her”. When she cries he can’t handle it and runs over and knocks her down and start to lick her and pull on her clothes. I want to make this clear, he has never bitten her but his large size has knocked her over. With two children under 2 we simply don’t have the ability to keep him separated from two babies. We have noticed that once kids get to the age of 5/6 they are strong enough to not get knocked over by him and he doesn’t seem to get overly excited around older kids. He loves attention and pets from anyone. He loves other dogs and is very gentle with small dogs as he lives with two small dogs. He doesn’t bark much but he has “guard dog” dna

Looking for a new fur baby? Look no further than baby Jack! This little guy is sure to melt your heart. Baby Jack is a friendly, funny, and playful little pup who loves to explore and make new friends. He's an affectionate and curious puppy who is always up for an adventure. He is very smart, and will do anything to get a treat! Despite his young age, he is very well behaved and is sure to be house broken in no time. He would make the perfect addition to any family, though he may be a bit too playful for young children. Baby Jack has been fostered with other dogs and kids so he is well on his way to becoming an all around good canine citizen! He has a lot of energy and is always up for a game of fetch or a long walk. He's the perfect companion for anyone looking for a fun and furry friend. I Email us at: dirtypawsanimalrescue@gmail.com for an application and bring Jack home just in time for Valentines day!

Story
Bandit is a sweet senior who wants nothing more than your love. He is the perfect combination of sweet and shy that makes your heart melt. While his pictures make him look big, he is actually a pocket sized rottweiler mix at about 55 pounds. He loves his trusted humans unconditionally and wants to shadow you whenever he can. Bandit is guaranteed to add lots of love, kisses and cuddles to your life. Where there is warmth you will find Bandit; warmth from the sun, from a heater, from a fur friend or from a human. He sometimes thinks he’s a lap dog and will plop himself on your lap for a nap, taking comfort in being with his human. Check out Bandit's video playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVb0fq1O6CwlJxEafkJcZ23qSb8i_8EPM He loves to play with his foster sister and sometimes looks quite goofy, which just adds to his charming personality. He is crate-trained, fully house-trained and walks well on a leash. He is highly treat motivated and is learning in foster care to do things like sit, lay down, stay, be a gentleman, and wait. Bandit has lived with small dogs, dogs his size, adult men, and adult women and has done well with all. He does take a moment to warm up to new people, sounds, and places. Bandit has a few health issues going on that sometimes impact his behavior. He has hip dysplasia, hyperthyroidism, arthritis, and early stage kidney disease. While 99% of the time Bandit is an absolute sweetheart, if any of his medication is off, if he overdoes his physical exercise, or if he is feeling anxious he may growl or snap. Because of this, Bandit should only be adopted by an experienced dog handler. Bandit is currently on thyro-tabs, joint supplements, and anti-anxiety medication. The cost of all of his medication is less than $100 per month. Bandit deserves his forever family. If that might be you, be sure to fill out an adoption application: https://betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application/ Upon receipt of your application, one of our passionate volunteers will call you within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet. All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for complimentary private and/or group training in order to ensure a successful adoption.

Story
🐾 Hello! I’m Klaus, Your “Solid” Fur-reind! 🐾 I’m a tall, dark, and handsome Doberman Pinscher mix—word around the shelter is that I look like the canine version of a movie star. 😊 At 3 years old and 74 lbs. of pure muscle, I’m a walking, stubby tail-wagging hunk of paw-someness. The first things you’ll notice about me are my sleek and shiny coat, those ridiculously floppy ears, my handsome Dobie face, and this strong, athletic body. HELLLLO, ladies! 😉 I might play it cool when we first meet, but if you’ve got a tennis ball or treat in hand, I’ll come sprinting to you. Stick around long enough, and I’ll be leaning on you and enjoying back rubs and ear scratches. My hobbies include running laps around the yard and flaunting my strong, long legs, going on sniffari walkies, chasing after tennis balls, and checking the play yard perimeter…. Detective Klaus at your service, ladies and gentlemen! Oh, and did I mention I LOVE Sniffaris? Being the suave ladies' man that I am, I seem to prefer the company of the female doggos. I love running the fence and playing with them while they are in the adjacent yards. What can I say? I’m too paw-some for them to resist! 😉 There’s a lot more to me than just my good looks, you know? I’m already a pro at ‘Sit’ —and if you’re holding a treat or a tennis ball, I’ll sit without even being asked. Pretty impressive, huh? 🏅I’m also working on my 'Down' and 'Stay.’ My volunteer pals say I’m quite the gentleman when they are taking me in and out of my kennel. Another bonus is that I take treats from your hand very gently. When leash-walking, I’ll pull when I get excited to read and respond to pee-mails. But all l need is that ONE special person or family who will love me enough to patiently teach me some manners. Given my size, strength, and boundless energy, I can be a bit overwhelming for small kids. I wouldn’t want to unintentionally knock them over in my excitement, so an adult-only home would be the best fit for me. 👍 I’d love to go to a breed-savvy family or someone who has experience handling large dogs. I’m already neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, and am ready to come home with you! I hope to see you soon! 😊 ** KLAUS would do best in a home without children ** ## See video of Klaus at the end of the photo gallery! ## TVAR.org/find-your-pet-adopt/dogs-puppies/ Klaus’ Shelter ID# is 84172. He is an adult, black and brown, Doberman Pinscher mix. He currently weighs 74 lbs. He has already been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered and is ready to go to his new home! Klaus is located in kennel B-1. His adoption fee is $35, plus licensing (if applicable). The cost of his neuter surgery will be sponsored! ** Age shown is an estimate only ** THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING If you are interested, please call the East County Animal Shelter at 925-803-7040 to see if this dog is still available.
