Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $750   The Sushi puppies are a litter of 3 month old Yorkie x Maltese mixes who are rolling up cuteness and puppy kisses with a side of soy sauce! The Sushi pups came into our rescue with Mama Sushi after they were rescued from a dirty yard. We promised to find them pawsome forever homes and the rest was history! This litter is 2 boys and 2 girls. We don’t know who Dad was but we expect the litter will be on the smaller side when fully grown as Mama is pretty petite. These puppies will have lighter shedding coats and won’t require grooming. They could be an option for those with low allergies. Roll up a hand roll of adorableness today!   California Roll (M): California Roll is a sweet, smart, and confident dude who is everything amazing about puppies all rolled up into a tasty snack! Cali Roll has the sweetest little face and loves showering his people in kisses and cuddles. California Roll mastered the art of the puppy dog eye quickly and leads the pack when he hears the kibble hitting the bowl. He is a soulful boy who can go from zooming around the yard to curled up in your lap content in minutes. Cali Roll loves toys but he also loves nature’s toys and will amass a pile of sticks and leaves that will leave any squirrel jealous. Once you order a California Roll, you can expect a life of love and affection!  Maki (F): Maki may be small but she is mighty! This girl is a little darling who we suspect looks like mystery Dad! She loves chasing her brothers and sister around the yard but she loves cuddles even more. As her confidence has grown, she has learned how amazing belly rubs are and now she happily sits in laps for hours at a time. Maki has an adorably sweet face with a tiny little button nose. Her adorable looks fit her feisty yet loving personality perfectly. Maki has so many adventures on her horizon and we know that she will make her lucky forever people so happy. As long as you have an open heart and a lap ready to hold a cute puppy, Maki will be a perfect fit for you and your home.  Nigiri (M): Nigiri is Mr. Steal Your Heart! This handsome heartbreaker is an energetic and happy pup who loves zooming around the yard with his siblings. As his confidence has grown, Nigiri has begun his career as an explorer in earnest, sniffing the piles of leaves and finding the very best sticks to gnaw on. Nigiri is a fan-favorite with his Ewok looks and love of kissing everyone he meets. He loves rolling over for belly rubs and will keep you fawning over him for hours until he decides he is ready for his next zoomies session. Nigiri will show off for hours at a time as he brings you toys during his play sessions. He knows that once you meet him, you won’t be able to imagine your life without him.  Spicy Tuna (F): Spicy Tuna is the cuddle bug of her siblings and is the Queen of the bunch! She is an active playmate but when she is ready for rest she will melt like butter into your arms and give you puppy dog eyes until you shower her in affection. She adores her foster family and loyally trots after them wherever they go. While Spicy Tuna is a total lap dog, she is also a playful puppy! She loves to romp around the yard with her siblings and has started figuring out the wonder of plush toys. With her gorgeous green eyes, we know that she will have you buying out the entire toy aisle at your local pet store. We know that Spicy Tuna will make herself right at home with her loving forever family and we can’t wait to see how this princess is pampered!    The puppies start their day around 7:30 AM and hang out in their pen until their foster mama comes in to say good morning. After some breakfast and water, they trot into the backyard for some supervised playtime. They play their hearts out for a few hours, running around with their toys and chasing each other. After a morning of play, they pile together for a well-deserved nap. This cycle repeats for the day and they love exploring more and more of the yard as they grow. They eat lunch at 1 PM and dinner at 6 PM. In the evening, the puppies get some cuddles and individual attention which they happily soak up. After a long day of being adorable, the litter retires to their pen for the night at 8 PM. It’s a hard life being too cute for words!   The Sushi puppies live with a 30 pound dog who isn’t the biggest fan of puppies but they are working on changing his mind! They love humans and their foster family has been hard at work ensuring they make new friends every day. They have been given a fantastic base of socialization and will thrive in homes prepared to continue their training. Interested homes must be prepared to discuss their plans for training and socialization. The Sushi puppies are ready to roll their way into your heart! They’re the perfect summer snack.     The Sushi puppies are only an option for homes who have owned a dog in the last 5 years. Kids in the home should be over the age of 7August 19, 2024, 11:40 pm

This litter arrived via rock car at 3 weeks old with Mama Wilma who has since been adopted. Now that the babies are big and strong they are ready to find forever homes of their very own! This litter is 2 girls and 2 boys. We expect the puppies to be in the 8-10 pound range when they reach their adult weight. While they may be lighter shedding, these puppies are not hypoallergenic and are not an option for those with allergies. Bring home a cartoon cutie today and adopt a Flintstone!      Barney (M): Barney is a happy go lucky, cuddly, and loving boy who is as floofy as can be! Barney has the most unique look of the siblings, and he knows how cute he is! He is the laziest of the bunch, often found snacking as he lays down (we love a multitasker). He spends a lot of time “swimming” in the water bowl which greatly amuses his foster family. He loves to wander over to an open lap before he plops down and rolls over for pets. He gives soft little kisses as he flashes you with his irresistible puppy dog eyes. Barney will be a fabulous model for his future closet of bandanas and bow ties as he knows how to work the runway. Prepare to go batty for Barney!  Betty (F): Betty is ready to be your new best friend! She loves to cuddle, give kisses, and befriend everyone she meets! Betty has an adorable coat matched with a tail that promises to wag 24/7. She is the perfect temperament: relaxed when she wants to nap but ready to zoom around when it’s time for play. She also loves her people and will seek them out when she decides it is time for attention and cuddles. Betty is absolutely gorgeous and so sweet, rolling over and blinking her puppy dog eyes at you as you scratch under her chin. Betty makes life so much more loving and full of happiness to all she meets and we know she will do the same for her lucky forever people.  Fred (M): Fred is a super sweet and loyal puppy who loves his people more than anything in the world! He is more laid back than his siblings, happy to snooze the day away as his brother and sister tumble around him. He loves following his foster mom around the house as she goes about her day. He loves taking cues from the neighbor dog, cuddling with him and rolling over to initiate play. With his adorable face and beautiful coloring, Fred promises to turn heads wherever he goes. Fred is just a total ham mixed with the best snuggler. He’s absolutely perfect!  Pebbles (F): Miss Pebbles is a sassy, curious, confident, and mischievous little gal. She is the first to check out new things and leads the pack in playtime and games of tag. She has a gorgeous, unique coat that is as soft as a cloud. Her eyes sparkle with excitement for the world around her and she will be an amazing adventure companion for the home lucky enough to bring her home. Pebbles makes everyone laugh constantly with her goofy antics and her easy going temperament. She is just a spark of joy and light and truly you won’t find a better puppy than her! We know Pebbles will provide a lifetime of love for her forever home!     The puppies start their day at 7 AM with breakfast. Following their meal, they have playtime until they are tired enough for their morning nap, usually around 10 AM. After they wake up, it’s time for lunch followed by more naps and more play. They continue this cycle until dinner at 6 PM. After dinner, they head over to the neighbors house for puppy playtime for a few hours, which is great for their socialization. Around 9:30 PM, they start to wind down from the excitement of the day. They curl up together in their pen and dream of adventures ahead!   The puppies have been well socialized with the neighborhood dogs and will be a fantastic addition to either a home with a resident dog or as a solo pup. They are working on their training skills and interested homes should be prepared to continue this training and socialization. They love checking out the world from their puppy stroller and we know they will have a fabulous lifetime of adventure once they start walking! We can’t wait to see the amazing dogs they grow up to be and you’ll be lucky to have a Flintstone!     The Flintstone puppies are only an option for homes who have owned a dog of their own in the last five years. No family pets, apartment dogs, or dog sitting. Kids in the home should be over the age of 8.August 19, 2024, 11:40 pm
