Meet Callie!! Sweet and silly Callie is a 1 year old heeler/border collie mix that came from a overcrowded shelter in KY. She was a shelter favorite, and her foster mom couldnt resist breaking her out to help her find her forever home. Callie is the SWEETEST dog youll ever meet. She is gentle with everyone, and wants to snuggle in your lap 100% of the time. Callie would do great with a family of any kind, and could live with kids of any age. Callie is currently in a foster home with 3 other large dogs and cats and does well with everyone! She is super tolerant of the other dogs bossing her around, and one hiss from the resident cat sends her running to the other room to hide! Callie is extremely vocal (as herding dogs tend to be) and has a variety of barks, growls, and grunts in her repertoire for every situation. She barks when shes excited, growls for attention, and grunts when she wants to go outside. This girl is SUPER smart and learns so easily. After being in her foster home merely days, Callie can already point to the dog food with her nose when she knows it's breakfast time, and bumps the leash when she wants to go out for a potty break. Callie has the ability to learn so many tricks, and would thrive with a job or in a sport! Callie is the whole package. Shes got the brains, the beauty, AND the personality. Izzy is a quick learner and will thrive in a home dedicated to helping her continue her training with positive reinforcement and plenty of exercise. This girl is 26 pounds of energy and love. She had to be captured by the local animal control officer and was prettified. She was lunging and growling and very upset. But something in her eye just pleaded for me to help her. So I picked her up from the shelter and brought her home where George (our cat) helped me show her that humans and other animals are good. George helped her calm down and let her guard down and after about an hour she was giving me lots of kisses. She is hilarious and is definitely a lover. She may need a couple of minutes to feel safe, but once she does, she is glued to you. She is extremely smart, loves to go for rides, walks and hikes or any adventure (we went kayaking) She prefers not to be left alone as she does have some separation anxiety. It is hard to believe that such a sweet dog almost never made it out of the shelter! This adorable girl is approx 4-6 years old and 32 lbs and is a little on the chubby side and could do to lose some weight. She is a really sweet and well behaved dog and is completely housebroken. She enjoys her walks but also loves to just hang out in the backyard while her foster mom is gardening. She loves to sprawl out on a sunny day in the grass. She has a pretty laid back personality and when inside she is a professional couch potato.... she loves to snuggle up with her person on the couch. She is a very smart girl and has already mastered several commands in the short time she has been in CT! She enjoys the company of other calm dogs but really doesn’t like to play very much with the other rescues. She has a wonderful disposition and loves people but can be a little shy when she first meets someone out on a walk. She is also slightly reactive when she sees another dog but she is learning with treats that it's not such a bad thing! Having come from a stray dog background she is understandably cautious with strangers! we did a dna test on Pepper and she is mainly Australian cattle dog with 13 other breeds mixed in.... Pepper is spayed and fully vaccinated. She tested positive for heartworms when we rescued her and has been treated successfully and has recently tested negative. OUR RESCUE POLICY - It is our rescue policy for all our dogs that we require a home with experienced dog owners only and no children under that age of 8 years. WE REQUIRE AT LEAST TWO YEARS OF VET RECORDS ON YOUR CURRENT OR PAST DOG FOR OUR REVIEW. RECORDS MUST SHOW THE POTENTIAL ADOPTER AS THE OWNER The total adoption fee of $500 ( and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, distemper , and microchip. My name is Rosie and I am 60 lbs. ASCZ definitely thinks I have heeler in me. Probably some Border Collie too and maybe a touch of Shepherd or Akita. There is something in there that is keeping me a bit fluffier and bigger than a typical heeler/BC. Either way, I am awesome. I am housebroken and crate-trained. I am active and I love to run around the yard. I have been good with all the dogs I have met. I do not think I would have any issue with children; however, I might get excited and knock them over but that's about the extent of my worry! We would suggest 8+. I am independent but also affectionate. I walk well on leash too! My foster mom says I am totally easy to have around, well tempered and well-mannered. I am a great catch.
