Story
Griffey is an extremely loveable pet. He just wants to be with his "pack". He has a lot of energy, but also just loves to lay around and snuggle all day. He loves to go on runs and walks, as well as chase the water streams from the hose or sprinkler! He is very excitable (but playful and gentle) when new people come over, tends to do a lot of jumping and sniffing but usually calms down in less than 5 minutes. He does get a little anxious when left alone for longer than an hour or two but doesn't chew or destroy anything. Doesn't really bark outside of the occasional raccoon in the backyard. The only reason we are having to surrender him is he needs a non-cancerous tumor removed from his tail, but it will cost $6k and that is something we unfortunately just can't do right now

Story
I adopted Gray as a puppy in 2016 from NOAH shelter in western Washington. He's been with me ever since, but unfortunately our family has changed and my situation now is not good for him or for me to continue having dogs. He's a sweet and intelligent boy with a lot of energy and a love of playing. He especially loves apples, going for walks, and running free. He has a not-biologically-related brother named Bruno that he is bonded with and I wouldn't want to split them apart. I'm looking for a home for the two of them where they will get the love, attention, and activity they need and I can no longer provide.

Story
Welcome Astrid to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2.5-year-old Cattle Dog and Lab mix maybe. She was adopted as a puppy and returned as an adult. She is now a bit of a timid adult. She is potty trained and good in a crate. We think she may not have stayed home a lot as a puppy and didn’t get the interactions with other people that they need as a puppy. She is timid of new people but she is a nice dog. She is not over the top active and would be fine with a moderately active family. I think her best home is as an only dog where it is quiet and she can get all the attention. She would be great with a person that has a quieter home and is more of a stay home kind of person and doesn’t care that their dog also wants to be a home body. She would be best with someone that doesn’t want a social butterfly but just seeks companionship. She would be fine around children. I would say older like 10 or more. A retired single or couple would be her ideal pick if she could talk. She is healthy, vaccinated and spayed and ready for her forever home. She can be adopted locally in Texas where she is with the rescue. We can also use one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Max to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Smooth Coated Collie/Heeler mix is our best guess. He weighs 35 pounds and he loves other dogs. He is very dog friendly with all types of other dogs. He is friendly with the horses and the donkeys in his foster home. He is good on a leash, potty trained and super affectionate. He knows sit and does it very well. He is very attentive and follows direction easily. He knows shake a paw with both paws and is great on a leash. He was an outside dog in his first home and a good Samaritan took him in. He has been with a vet that had PTSD and is sometimes too rough with him. He is very loving to women and also loves men after being at the Rescue for only a week or two. He loves all people and once he knows he is safe bonds deeply and is extremely loyal and devoted companion. He would be great for a hiker, walker, jogger or any one who wants a good companion to take with you. He would be great in a doggy daycare setting as he easily gets along well with all dog personalities. He is vaccinated, healthy, neutered and ready for his forever home. He loves children with open arms and has been around them regularly. This is a WONDERFUL dog and will be a great addition to any family wanting an easy dog to bring in. He would be great for a more novice adopter as he is smart, skilled and follows direction easily. He would be a great dog for a family with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. She is friendly enough already to go to Starbucks or some dog friendly place and meet strangers. She is a moderate shedding dog. She is potty trained and good in a crate. Story
Welcome Birdie to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 6-month-old dog. She is an Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie. She weighs about 30 pounds and considered a medium sized dog. She is smart and knows a lot of commands. She walks good on a leash, potty trained, good in a car, knows sit, knows trade (which) you can use to swap out what she has in her mouth with something else and a few more things. You can see the other commands in the video. We have them written on her paperwork. She is very smart and attentive. She calms down nicely and can work with some moderate distractions. She has been in foster care and the foster did a lot of work getting her ready. She would be fine in a home with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She would be best with an active outdoorsy family that wants a loveable companion to join their home. She would make a good walking companion for someone and due to her size would be able to do some brisk walking. She has the long beautiful coat of the border collie. She is looking for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Story
** Currently fostered in Houston Texas, but available for adoption out of state via rescue transportation, included in adoption fee. Offer Zoom call to virtually meet prior to adoption. Meet Barkley! This sweet baby wandered up on someone's property. He was wearing a harness on that had the brand name boots and barkley, so that's where the finder got his name. Barkley was chipped, but unfortunately it was not registered. It shows that he was adopted in January2023, and that he is estimated about 5 years of age. He currently weighs around 55 lbs and we believe him to be a border collie/cattle dog mix. He has energy and he loves to run and play, but can be a couch potato too. His favorite thing in the world is to play fetch with a ball! Barkley likes other dogs if they are female, but has not been a fan of males. We believe it's from a lack of social time with other dogs because he doesn't come off as just an aggressive pup, he just seems like he was kept in a yard and ignored a lot of the time prior to rescue and may not be familiar with most dogs. Barkley clearly knows his basic commands, such as sit, kennel, shake and settle. He is highly toy and food motivated and responds wonderfully to focused training. With continued training, we could even see him being an agility pup! Barkley is crate trained, housebroken and does well on leash. He is fully vetted, meaning he us neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped and on monthly preventions for flea, tick and heartworm. For more information on how to adopt Barkley, contact us at MokasMission@Gmail.com for an application.

Story
Meet a timid lady Jinhee🩷 Jinhee was abandoned by a foreign worker. She used to hide in fear just from the sight of people’s hands. Even though she was facing the risk of euthanasia since she wasn’t used to being around humans, she's getting better now thanks to her foster family. Thanks to her foster who was understanding and patient for Jinhee, she now plays with people she trusts! Her days are being filled with more and more compliments. If you understand and wait for her, you will be able to see Jinhee’s ever growing love! ✨You need to approach her carefully because she can be surprised or uncomfortable with people who scream, or makes large gestures or actions. 💟 Personality / Characteristics * Keywords: #Charming #Timid #Mildtempered * Energy Level (1~10): Level 4 *Can be uncomfortable at doggy friends who actively and boldly come at her, but Jinhee can greet doggy friends coming slowly with a good manner! *Doesn’t particularly react to cats during her walking session. *Prefers a person who moves slowly and quietly than a person with a loud voice and moves too boldly!💗 *Jinhee who can be a calm girl even when she is playing with her foster can be more outgoing too! When her foster tosses the stuffed toy, she brings it to the foster and enjoys playing the tug play. *Can be uncomfortable when someone comes at her too actively and boldly.😭 Doesn’t like high-pitched, loud sounds. *Prefers walking with her foster and enjoying the surroundings than actively playing and running around with doggy friends. *Mostly rests during the daytime and becomes more active and plays in nighttime.❤️ *Can briefly bark on the sound of the door knock but doesn’t bark most of the time. *Doesn’t prefer bathing but she can patiently tolerate it. *No carsickness. *Tends to shed slightly but sheds more during shedding season! Jinhee favors her foster to brush her hair and getting cuddled and really loves her hair to be brushed more and often! *Mastered “Sit”, “Fighting”, “Kissing her foster”! *Jinhee’s favorites: Her foster and dog Churu snack. 💙 Foster account 👉🏻 @adogs_jinhee

Story
Meet Gyumi💗💗 * Interaction with people: Is shy and reserved. He smells people passing by and shows curiosity, but finds it awkward when they come close. He is not used to his foster family's touching yet, and hides in the corner when you try to touch him, but stays still if you actually touch him, and even follows if you go somewhere else. When he gets used to it, he opens himself up and eats snacks if you give him some. * Interaction with dogs: Is not comfortable with other dogs. Is scared of dogs who bark and run at him. With slowly-approaching dogs, he smells them face-to-face but soon turns away. * Interaction with cats: He shows uneasiness and wariness around cats, even during walks, where he tends to keep his distance. * Separate Anxiety : He spends time alone well. Sometimes, he lies down looking at the door, but soon goes to the bed and falls asleep! Wags his tail and welcomes you when you come back home. * Potty Training : Prefers100% outdoor potty! * Hygienic : He's still learning to become comfortable with bathing, grooming, and teeth brushing, but he tolerates them without mouthing. Gets scared and tries to run away at the sound of dryers, but so towel or fan (dryers very shortly if needed) is used to dry tim. * Walking : Walks in step with the walker and enjoys taking a walk! He's a bit afraid of the leash but waits patiently until it's put on. Is scared of cars or motorcycles. Prefers walking near the bush or where there are no people. * Car Sickness : Is okay with riding a car, and stays well in the car seat. May vomit on winding roads. 💌Special Notes💌 * Gyumi is getting used to his malformed bones after suffering a long-time fracture to his shoulder and back. As he has no issues in walking, the vet's opinion is that surgery is unnecessary. * He can take easy walks, but running or intense exercise is not allowed. * Mastered “sit” and has a big potential of learning other skills once he gets used to physical contact with people! 💟Health Status💟 * Neutered * Others: Microchipped, Completed heartworm treatment. * Even though having a dislocated left shoulder and shattered&stiffened right shoulder, he has no problem walking. However, it may hurt for him if he moves vigorously, so close observation is needed. * Has vision in his right eye but his left eye is blind. His fur is currently shaved off because his skin was not healthy. He scratches a bit, but it's getting much better and his dead skin cells are unseen now unlike before.
