COH Ghirardelli is a 2 year old neutered male Australian Shepard Mix with a sweet and loving nature. He was surrendered because his owner is leaving for the military and wanted him to have a great home. Ghirardelli loves going for walks and is great with kids. He's looking for a family that will give him the love and adventure he deserves! We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Please visit our social media platforms for the specifics for each weekend as it changes from week to week. Meet Barney, a loving Aussie-doodle. He is 4 years old and weighs 37 pounds. He is an active, smart dog who loves attention and snuggling. He is very well trained, understands commands, walks to heel, and is crate trained and potty trained. Because of his energy level, he needs at least two walks a day, but is happy being home and sleeping most of the day. He needs a strong owner that understands dogs and is able to keep structure in his life. He is great with folks that he knows but is insecure outside of the home and with people he doesn't know, and can be reactive if he feels insecure or threatened. When meeting new people, he needs to have slow introductions and does not like when strangers try to pet him. He is great with other dogs, just not puppies, and hasn’t not been around children and it would not be advisable. When he feels overwhelmed or threatened he can be reactive with other dogs but does not attack or bite. He loves to play and being chased. He loves to hike, and absolutely loves and bonds to his person.
