Story
HI - I'M CECE! I am a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd-Beagle mix in need of a foster or forever home! I was rescued originally from a bad situation in California. From there, I was taken in by a Good Samaritan, but she also had to give me up due to unforeseen circumstances. I'm a great girl - I get along wonderfully with other dogs, and I am a lovebug with people. I would do well with an active person, people or family who wants a dog that they can do things with -- hiking, camping, walking, snuggling. I weigh about 45 lbs. Can you foster or adopt me? Please email for additional information and an application. :)

Story
Blu's original family of six had him since he was a puppy. The wife asked for online help when she learned she had ovarian cancer. When she explained to us the trouble she was in and the life Blu deserves, we stepped up to help out this family. From our own time, we learned Blu is about 2 years old with a lot of fun contagious energy. He loves to play with you at home, but when he's outside, he loves to run with his own making so many dog friends! I was so surprised how much he got along with everyone! Dogs to dog lovers! He did well with our elder dog who is about 8lbs to our child who is about 20lb. He loves kids, and allowed my child to be all over him. He loves a routine, and when established, he is extremely obedient. Sometimes we don't have to tell him to go inside his crate because he just knows what time it is! He knows basic commands, but we need big hearts with big space for this guy. He needs to run and be in a space his size!

Story
Miley Cyrus lived as a mother dog who was used for breeding. She was roaming the streets when she asked the right people for help. Eager to please, Miley has completed dog training at the head of her class. As a result of her past experiences, she is mistrusting of men and loud noises. She is not aggressive, but rather simply prefers to be alone. If you are kind and gentle, and have the patience to earn her trust, Miley Cyrus might be your girl. Meet Atzi!!! 💥 Adoption fee waved, must meet in person.💥 Atzi is looking for her forever home! Atzi can be shy and timid at first. No past history available. She is good with other dogs ( slow introduction & neutral turf ) , leash, crate & house trained. Knows paw, high & low five, sit, lay down and up as seen in video. Atzi Walks great on leash! She does not do well with small pets and due to her shy & timidness best in a home with children over 13. She needs a stable, calm person and home. She does not like loud noises or big crowds. May change in time with right owner. She needs a person with patience. She is extremely lovable and devoted to her person or people! Great on car rides as well just lays down on back seat.

Story
About PepperPepper is a loving, intelligent, and playful herding dog who is looking for a patient and understanding forever family. Despite his herding breed background, Pepper has a laid-back personality at home, outside of playtime or long walks in outdoors, and enjoys relaxing or soaking up affection from his favorite humans. Pepper was adopted on October 22, 2023, and has been a cherished part of his current family. He’s a naturally sweet boy who adores toys, games, and treats, as well as tummy rubs and quiet adventures. Whether he’s exploring an empty park, sniffing along a quiet trail, or chasing his favorite toys, Pepper’s enthusiasm for the little things in life is contagious. He has an adorable big smile when he’s playing, a sharp nose for exploring, and excellent hearing that keeps him aware of his surroundings. Pepper’s Daily Routine Crate Training: Pepper is crate-trained and very well-behaved when asked to go to his crate. He can relax there for hours when needed. Feeding Habits: Pepper grazes and sometimes needs a little encouragement to finish his meals. He does best with patient humans who understand his quirks, and he never says no to high-value treats! Favorite Activities: Playing with toys, sniffing and exploring new places, receiving tummy rubs, and spending quality time with his people. He loves exploring outdoors and can go on long walks that have plenty of nature for him to sniff and smile through Pepper’s Personality and NeedsPepper is a wonderful companion who warms up quickly to people, but his anxious nature makes him easily overwhelmed by other dogs. He is leash-reactive and will bark when other dogs come near, not out of aggression but from fear and a desire to protect himself. While he’s made progress with training, he will need continued, consistent support from an adopter who is experienced with reactive dogs or willing to learn. Pepper is currently taking Fluoxetine (Prozac) to manage his anxiety. You can consult with a veterinarian to reassess his medication usage or dosage, especially if a more suitable alternative is found or if he no longer requires it after ongoing training contributes to his progress. He thrives in a quiet, low-stress environment where he can decompress and enjoy life without frequent encounters with other dogs. Apartment living has been challenging for him, as he enjoys long walks or time outdoors, so a home with a private yard or in a less dog-heavy area would be ideal. Pepper has no bite history and shows no aggression toward people, but he values his personal space. He prefers not to be touched by strangers, although he has been successfully muzzle-trained to make vet visits and grooming easier. Training and ProgressPepper has worked with professional trainers and a canine behaviorist to address his reactivity and leash manners. While his journey is ongoing, he’s shown great potential with the right guidance. He knows how to walk at a distance from other dogs but struggles when they come too close. With time, love, and patience, Pepper’s confidence can continue to grow. The Perfect Home for PepperPepper will thrive in a calm, understanding home with adopters who are dedicated to continuing his training. A family with no other pets would be the best fit, as Pepper needs space to feel safe and secure. A private yard, quiet neighborhood, or rural setting would be a dream for this sweet boy. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will bring joy and love to your life, Pepper is ready to meet you.  Ready to Meet Pepper?Pepper’s future family will need to be committed to helping him feel safe and supported, but the bond you’ll share with this special boy will be worth every effort.  Apply for him here: ##1838028##

Story
Now fostered in Oregon! Glenda the good- the good girl! This sweet girl leads with her heart, she adores people and you can see it the moment you meet her. If you are seeking a calm, easy-going dog, who couldn’t even comprehend the idea of chaos…look no further. Glenda’s entire being exudes gentle and calm, warm and adoring. You can see it here - https://youtu.be/QikLSrW9iUc One of my favorite things about Glenda is how peaceful her presence is, she is the kind of company that feels familiar from that start. Her looks and personality lead us to believe she is a shepherd/collie/husky mix and we estimate her to be 3 years old. Breed and age are details we cannot offer 100% certainty on given the nature of rescue but some of her ease surely comes from being past the puppy/pre-teen years. We have introduced Glenda to dogs of all different personalities and sizes to gauge her playfulness and the type of dog she enjoys most. It was easy to see that Glenda is dog friendly, feels comfortable in the company of dogs, and gravitates to calmer, playful dogs that enjoy a game of chase as much as a chance to lay in the grass. If you are looking to match-make your current dog, Glenda is perfectly suited to be the +1 for a dog who enjoys calm companionship and doesn’t need a constant playmate . Glenda would be best suited for a house with a yard and even better would be a quiet little piece of home in the country. She has great basic leash skills, walking with an easy pace and passing dogs calmly, she will need a little guidance building her confidence in busier environments if that will be a regular part of your life together. A calm home with a pretty regular routine would be where she would thrive. She’s not a fan of overly busy environments, but will thrive where she can build trust and feel safe. Glenda’s affectionate and easy-going personality make her a joy to be around.. Whether she’s lounging with her people or playing with a canine friend, Glenda is ready to slip right into your routine and will only add to the warmth and safety of a loving home. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
