Story
This gorgeous girl is Scarlet Love. Scarlet has such a lovable personality, she’s naturally joyful, but incredibly calm. She’s so sweet and affectionate, quick to ask for belly rubs and so tolerant- this girl is happy to go with the flow. She is so obedient, eager to please and highly trainable. She is currently just over a year old, just 36 pounds, and we think she may be a German Shepherd and Australian Shepherd mix, but with rescue, exact breed and age are always unknown to us, and cannot be guaranteed. Fall in love with Scarlet here: https://youtu.be/4RZHP5Zh-8Y?si=Lmf3AbDleft-sKI5 Scarlet loves to snuggle up on the couch, once she’s on the couch, that’s where she wants to stay, calm and content. She’s looking forward to movie nights with her forever family! With other dogs, Scarlet isn’t the most playful, but she can be convinced to play! Scarlet is very tolerant with other dogs, shows her belly and is very communicative with other dogs through her body language. Scarlet does well with dogs both big and small, she’s a sweetheart through and through. Scarlet has cohabitated with cats before, and here at the rescue she was cat-tested by our behavior team. She’s very tolerant of cats, barely interested and happy to peacefully coexist. Our behavior team recommends her for a home with cats! Scarlet is such a joy to be around, so affectionate and attentive. She’s highly intelligent. While she knows some basic commands already, and could happily live the rest of her life with only this level of training, her intelligence and eagerness to please will make her a very enjoyable dog to train. Scarlet will make a great hiking buddy, with her stamina, love for exploring, and attentiveness to her person. Scarlet is not too picky about her forever home, she’s just ready to find her forever family. With daily walks, Scarlet could do well in an apartment. Scarlet could live with cats, dogs, or as an only-pet. Scarlet has not spent much time with kids, to our knowledge, but has such a sweet and tolerant personality, and will likely do well with them. We are willing to test this dog with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Please email Kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
Billie Jean is a fluffy, cute baby ready for a family! She learns new routines very easily, adapts quickly, trusts new people easily, and she’s the perfect pup to become a best friend and or a family dog. She will probably follow along for hikes or strolls in the neighborhood, ride along for errands, or cuddle up for a movie. Also, she loves to ride in the car and she’s easy to have as a passenger princess. See her personality here: https://youtu.be/tYHah263nVw?si=MJDkaJf61pCjtAzS She got into the baby pool at her foster home and seemed to enjoy it. Also assimilating into their pack of adult large dogs, as well as their cats was no problem for Billie Jean. She is happy to play along in any scenario. She is so grateful to have been rescued and she is not a super hyper or needy girl. She’s pretty mature and relaxed. We really cannot be sure of her breed, but this is a speculation based on appearance and personality. Based on her current size and age, I don’t think she will grow to be larger than 45 pounds. Billie Jean is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Story
I am posting for my grandma. She got Abby from a farm at eight years old with the hopes that she would be a mellow relaxed companion. She is that and very sweet but also still has energy to go. She is potty trained, but has not learned to walk on a leash without pulling. She will need to have property to roam on or someone who is willing to walk her daily. Unfortunately, she is too much strength for my over 80 year old grandma. It is very important that she goes to a good home that can give her lots of love and attention. She loves all people and loves attention. Ideally someone who could take the time to train her basic leash training. She is super smart and very capable. She is not good with cats. She will chase them. If you are interested please call or text me so we can chat more about it. Can't always pick up the phone right away but I'll return voicemails.

Story
There are few things that make dog lovers happier than meeting a dog who is playful, loves the water, a simple toy and is respectful of cats! Kevin here is one of those and not to sound cheesy…but wait, there’s more! Also, if you are looking for the abbreviated version of his bio here it is- Kevin is pretty much perfect. He splashed me once, honestly my fault for standing too close to the pool, that is the only reason I am not going all in on “perfect!” You don’t need me to tell you, his adorable face got you here, but he is absolutely adorably handsome! He had us all guessing he was on the teenager end of his puppy days with his cute face and bear paws but our vet staff aged him around 4 years old. Of course it is an educated estimate, not a guarantee but either way he has puppy features with mature mannerisms. Weighing in at 52 lbs he is a great mid-size dog, really the perfect get-up and go guy! Kevin has been fortunate and is waiting out his adoption day in an amazing foster home. This is something I like to share because it is such an important key to getting a jump-start on the skills it takes to be a good house dog. All reports from his foster family have been overwhelmingly positive. They shared that he has been just an all around great house guest! House trained, a good car-rider, knows his toys are for chewing and not any of the people things and gets along beautifully with the other dogs in the home. He currently lives with a couple other rescues, both maybe pittie mixes so he has a great sense of dog manners and how to play nicely. When we spent time with Kevin away from his foster home we saw the same good-boy we had been told about, a friendly boy, happy boy with a cute face and great manners. I was impressed with his leash skills, he understands that walking close is key and pulling isn’t welcome. During that time we introduced Kevin to a handful of dogs he had never met and he was calm for introductions and perfectly playful when his new friends invited him to play a game of chase. Watching him jump into the pool to cool off was what sealed his hold on my heart. He was so content and self-assured it was a joy to watch! Kevin is also friendly without being pushy, he wants to say hello but will wait patiently for you to meet his eyes and invite him over. And no jumping here! In fact, its the opposite! He is pre-programed with auto-sit. This is when a dog comes for pets or is being greeted and automatically sits. It is a skill that takes many dogs a long time to master, not Kevin, he’s got it! Not one time, even when treats were being offered did he jump or get overly excited. He is such a well-behaved boy. Kevin is what we lovingly call a daycare dog because his easy-going and playful approach with other dogs means he can go to doggy-daycare for a fun day out and then come home for a big ol’ nap! He doesn’t need that level of play everyday though, he is mellow inside and happy to hang out or play with a toy on his own. An ideal home for Kevin would include occasional adventures, a hike or day-trip to the lake or beach, and leisurely walks around the neighborhood. A yard is always fun but with chances to play and walk, it isn’t a necessity. Kevin’s size, quiet nature, and awesome leash skills make him a great candidate for apartment/condo life. A playful friend would be awesome but not needed, and a pool of any size, even a kiddie pool to splash around in, would be a bonus! If you have any questions about Kevin or would like us to test him for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure he is the correct fit for you and your life! And yes, his coat is as soft and luxurious as it looks! Please email michelle@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
Azula is a pure Australian Shepherd who needs a new loving home. We purchased her from a breeder in Eastern Oregon on February 16th, 2020. She received all her puppy vaccinations (including prantel, pamoate, and parvo) from the breeder and has been receiving yearly vaccines and flea medication since. Azula is a very affectionate dog who loves people. She instantly warms up to strangers and we often joke that she's found new owners whenever we have visitors. Azula would do best in a home with a fenced yard or large property. She can be anxious towards other dogs (barks/whines). No history of violence or biting, she has always gone to the dog groomer without issues. Azula loves playing fetch, rolling in the grass, and greeting her family with joyful jumps. With our second baby arriving this summer, we are finding it increasingly difficult to give Azula the attention and care she deserves. Video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2XdoVX6fUo
