Story
Meet Rex – Your Loyal Companion Awaits! Rex is a special 8-year-old dog with a heart full of love to give. He was adopted from the Dallas Animal Shelter as a tiny two-month-old puppy and has been a faithful friend ever since. Unfortunately, his life took a turn when his owners were displaced, and he found himself living under a car for a long time. But even after enduring such hardship, Rex’s sweet nature has never wavered. Rex is a 40-pound boy who walks beautifully on a leash, goes into his kennel without a fuss, and has a calm, quiet demeanor. He’s friendly with everyone he meets, making him a remarkable companion for anyone looking for a loyal friend. He’s also the perfect size—not too big to be in the way, but just right to snuggle up with you on the couch. While Rex did test positive for heartworms, he’ completed his 3 shot treatment. During this time , until Feb 1st., Rex will need a calm environment, but with his laid-back personality, this should be no problem at all. We’re committed to helping Rex find a loving home where he can experience the comfort and care he deserves. Rex is looking for either a forever home or a foster home where he can stay safe, warm, and loved. He’s spent too much time without the comforts of a home, and it’s time for him to know what it’s like to be cherished indoors, whether it’s in the cool air conditioning during the summer or by the heater in the winter. Please consider giving Rex the life he’s always deserved. Meet this incredible dog, and you’ll see why he’s one of our favorites. Fill out an adoption or foster application today, and let Rex show you the true meaning of unconditional love. Adoption fee is $225 Dallas TX https://chloespetrescue.org/application

Story
Stella is HYPER active, fun-loving, obedient 2 year old (will be 3 in February) Border Collie mix; I got her as a baby from a Aussie rescue, and I have loved her since the moment we brought her home. However, she's highly active, needs a lot of exercise and needs to let off major amounts of energy daily. I work from home every day, and I am not as active as I once was when I first got her, and she deserves to be with a family who is highly active, and has the time and devotion to make sure that she gets all of the extra fun that she needs. She gets along well with my Shih Tzu mix but she has not been around other dogs much so she does bark at dogs when she seems them. Stella is obedient but there are skills she needs to learn - not to jump on everyone, and she needs to be taught to not bark so much at everyone and everything BUT she will listen if you teach her as she is incredibly smart, so sweet, and she loves to be rubbed on and her favorite past-time is playing fetch!

Story
We have had Oliver since he was just weeks old and he has always been such a loving pup. He was given to my daughter by a friend. He has always been an indoor dog and he was potty trained pretty easily. He is great with children, as long as we had him never had issues with him. He loves attention and for people to pet him. He is not a barker, only when he wants to get someone's attention or when he really needs to go potty. He has been around dogs but gets a bit nervous with bigger dogs. Although we marked him as a border collie, because that is what his paperwork says, he is mixed with another breed, not sure what it is. Our family loves Oliver, we are just in a different season in life and our family situation has changed. Our schedules have gotten pretty busy and my daughter has gone off to college. We have tried everything we can but we are at a point where we feel like he needs to be with someone who can attend to him and give him the love and care that he deserves.

Story
Confetti is feisty and loves her one-on-one time. She is the life of the party and often found harassing her sister or foster sister as she wants to play 24/7. So cute and sweet. Right on track with her training. Found as a stray on New Years Eve, how could we end the year without saving these two! All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.
