Story
Hello world! Meet curious Penny V. This smart and playful border collie mix is ready to explore from sunup to sundown on her daily walks or in the backyard (we nicknamed her 'Lizard Hunter' because she loves to chase them around). She also loves to run and chase with other pups but then snuggles up with her humans at night. Penny does need special attention. She gets nervous with new people (aka stranger danger), but she has been working on it with continuous training and Reconcile anxiety medication. She is very treat-motivated and has a proven track record of winning over new humans through repeat introductions, especially outside of your home. All she needs is patience and some grace! Today she loves boarding and doggie daycare, where she can play with other pups or get head scratches from their staff. Once you are in the circle of trust, you have a friend for life. Though we have loved having Penny as part of our family, she needs a family that can devote more time to her needs and training. Her current home has two small kids, which can be too loud for her. She does better with adults who like to be active but can enjoy a slow morning every now and then. Her dream home also has a backyard, where she can watch the trees for squirrels or snooze in the sun. Penny is a sweet girl, who has been and continues to be a wonderful companion. Once you build her trust, she will love you forever. She is up to date on all vaccinations and is in good health. Help us find our girl her forever home! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Penny V, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Meet Domino - a 50lb, 10-month-old Border Collie / Cattle Dog mix. Domino came into our lives when we picked him up after he had been abandoned in an empty lot as a tiny puppy and rescued by our local animal shelter. He has beautiful, inquisitive blue eyes and a fluffy tail nearly always wagging. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots with a clean bill of health. Domino is friendly, playful, and curious. He has a lot of energy and loves to play - he likes to play tug, tag, and he will bring you toys and drop them in your lap when heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s ready for more games. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s also incredibly sweet and loves hugs, kisses, and cuddles. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll boop his own nose if you point at his nose, and heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll flop on the floor or couch to ask for belly rubs. Domino has never met a cat and he hasnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t spent much time around kids, but since heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s an energetic boy, he may be best with kids who arenâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t smaller than he is. Domino may appreciate dog siblings if they are closer to his size - they should meet first to ensure everyone gets along - but he canâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t cohabitate with small dogs or other small animals; his cattle dog heritage means that he has a high prey drive. He is very affectionate toward people and will be happiest in a home with a yard where he gets lots of attention and exercise. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s learning how to sit, stay, and lie down. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s house-trained, crate-trained, and uses a doggy door with ease. He needs more practice walking on a leash, as he still gets easily distracted by all the exciting sights and smells of the neighborhood. He is a chewer, so heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll need good, safe chew bones and chewy treats when he isnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t running in the yard or getting cuddles. Weâ&#194&#128&#194&#153d like his new family to know that the need to rehome is due to incompatibility with small dogs -- we wish we could be his forever home, but our small dogs need to keep their home, too. Domino is an absolute treasure - eager to learn, sweet and loving, adorable, and full of playful puppy energy. If he sounds like the perfect addition to your family, please apply to adopt him today! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Domino, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Meet Pilgrim! This AH-DORABLE pup is ready to find his forever home. Pilgrim has very unique markings similar to a tuxedo cat. He has the cutest mustache! It adds character to his already fun personality. He's a very friendly, silly & playful puppy. He enjoys affection, but he squirms if you hold on to him too long - this little guy likes to go go go. He plays hard & sleeps hard! 🥰 He's not afraid of anything & he loves chew toys & bones. He loves hanging out with other dogs, people, & he's a good boy around the cats! He'll be med-lg when full grown. He's currently 14 weeks and has had first and second puppy shots. His coat is short and very soft.🩵 If you're considering adding a little fearless fun furry family member like Pilgrim, reach out to us! If not, please copy-paste-SHARE his post so he can find his forever family!💞 Thank you! Furever Home Pet Rescue bemyforeverhome.org 615-540-8448

Story
Let's Help Make His Wish Come True! Wishbone is an adorable male pup, most similar to his mother (Birdie) in size & markings. He'll be a medium size dog, sturdy but light. He was the smallest in his litter of four. His fur is turning out to be medium length. We believe there's border collie & cattle dog in their breed mix.. with a lot of cuteness sprinkled in! Wishbone was rescued at Thanksgiving along with his mama dog and littermates. He prefers to grab on to you like a rock climber when he is held, rather than melting in your arms or lap... but he will sit with you for hours.💛 He's not the most confident dog & will benefit from having a canine companion, as well as lots of attention from his humans. He does like to investigate new things. He's fast, agile, & smart! He's ABSOLUTELY PRECIOUS & so so sweet! He's good with cats too.❤️🐈‍⬛😊 Wishbone would love to find a forever home with at least one canine companion. LET'S TURN HIS WISH INTO REALITY. If he sounds like the right pup for your family, please reach out!🩵 Furever Home Pet Rescue bemyforeverhome.org 615-540-8448 🙏🩵please copy-paste-SHARE this post so we can help Wishbone find a loving home🩵 Thank you

Hi there, and welcome to my page! So glad you dropped in! I’m still getting to know my new friends here at DAS… they’re going to help me find my new family! I’m helping with the search, too, so I’ve put together FIVE reasons why you should click that “I`m interested ” button and take me home.1. I’m ADORABLE, of course. Just look at me!2. I’m a great listener. Tell me all about your day, I never get tired of lending an ear!3. I have enough tail-wags and kisses to make every day a good day.4. You’ll never have to watch a movie alone again, and I’m not even picky about what we watch!5. Repeat reasons 1 through 4… I’d be the best doggo you could ever want!

Story
Meet Rex – Your Loyal Companion Awaits! Rex is a special 8-year-old dog with a heart full of love to give. He was adopted from the Dallas Animal Shelter as a tiny two-month-old puppy and has been a faithful friend ever since. Unfortunately, his life took a turn when his owners were displaced, and he found himself living under a car for a long time. But even after enduring such hardship, Rex’s sweet nature has never wavered. Rex is a 40-pound boy who walks beautifully on a leash, goes into his kennel without a fuss, and has a calm, quiet demeanor. He’s friendly with everyone he meets, making him a remarkable companion for anyone looking for a loyal friend. He’s also the perfect size—not too big to be in the way, but just right to snuggle up with you on the couch. While Rex has tested positive for heartworms, he’s scheduled to start treatment in November, with his final injections set for December. During this time, Rex will need a calm environment, but with his laid-back personality, this should be no problem at all. We’re committed to helping Rex find a loving home where he can experience the comfort and care he deserves. Rex is looking for either a forever home or a foster home where he can stay safe, warm, and loved. He’s spent too much time without the comforts of a home, and it’s time for him to know what it’s like to be cherished indoors, whether it’s in the cool air conditioning during the summer or by the heater in the winter. Please consider giving Rex the life he’s always deserved. Meet this incredible dog, and you’ll see why he’s one of our favorites. Fill out an adoption or foster application today, and let Rex show you the true meaning of unconditional love. Adoption fee is $225 Dallas TX https://chloespetrescue.org/application

SWEET SWEET SWEET! Found as a stray dumped in the country. Amazingly, Finn has a great temperament and has been evaluated by an accredited behaviorist. He passed all his tests with flying colors. We are happy to share her evaluation with any prospective family. Finn is about 3 years old, neutered, current on vaccinations, hw negative and microchipped. He is learning about toys in his foster home and how to live inside. Finn LOVES people! He kissed the vet, the tech, and everyone in the waiting room at the vet clinic. Finn is very smart and catches on quickly to what you are teaching him. He will make a fabulous addition to the right family. Story
Sweetest SADIE is still looking for a family. She's pretty neutral with her dog friends as long as they do not try to be dominant of her.  She can be super playful!  She gets zoomies, and loves playing in water! She's great with and LOVES kids. We believe she is part kangaroo the way she hops at times when excited and may accidentally cause a little human to tumble so older children who are steady on their feet may be best. She is totally fine with cats once they accept her and the newness wears off, but you have to be willing to work with her and your cat quite a bit in the beginning. She is a jerk in a crate. Definitely not her strong suit. We get it given her life before rescue. She HATES the sound of Thunder so storm season has been super fun but all you have to do is snuggle and reassure her and she's just fine. She does not require a whole lot of activity but she is a slippery one who we could see being able to jump a 4ft or chain link fence if she really wanted to! A minimum 6ft, solid fence is a must because of this. Sadie does walk great on a leash though and loves going for rides! She is also solid on the potty training and only weighs 45lbs! Her strongest quality is her huge heart and eagerness to learn and make you happy! She will give you everything if you just give her love. Despite the lack of attention and affection Sadie got for the 5 years she was outside alone in a filthy 4x6 dog run... she has alot of love to give and is a GREAT COMPANION! If Sadie sounds like the perfect addition to your family, please submit an application and meet this sweetheart! If she sounds like the perfect pup for someone you know, please share her with them! She truly deserves an amazing home! ##1823952##

Do you like the beach? Hiking? So does Brisket! Brisket is a young adult Pyr mix, who loves to run and play. He has the cutest perky ears! He's great with animals, including dogs, cats, baby dogs, and mini horses. Born in November 2020, he is at an ideal age! He loves hikes and is a great car rider and likes to travel. He has been on several trips with his foster and loved the lake, visit to the hobby farm, and the fun filled road trip. Rutledge came to TGPR in April 2021 in very bad shape, A year ago, he was hit by a car not once, but twice! His pelvis, hip, and rear leg were broken, and it's amazing that he survived! He has FULLY recovered and is very active. TGPR got him to the orthopedic specialists right away. The surgeon repaired his broken bones. Then came months of healing and physical therapy. He has made an excellent recovery and is now so ready for his forever family! Rutledge is house trained, good on leash, really smart, and crate trained. His DNA showed that he mostly Pyr and Australian Cattle Dog, with 10% German Shepherd too. He has a short white coat and is about 75 pounds.
