He was the smallest in his litter of four. His fur is turning out to be medium length. We believe there's border collie & cattle dog in their breed mix.. with a lot of cuteness sprinkled in! Wishbone was rescued at Thanksgiving along with his mama dog and littermates. This is Shadow. He is a two year old border collie Shepard mix, i’m weighing 55-60 pounds. He was surrendered by his owner with Bane. He gets a bit nervous around new people and need some time to trust, due to his past. He was abused and then surrendered. Given some time to trust he will be the best dog. . He would probably be best in a home with older children if any, I have some energy, and would probably do best in a house with a yard. Shadow is all about play!!! he loves to play with anything! he even plays with the treats we give him. He is the biggest sweetheart when he warms up and loves to get cuddles and have all the toys in the world. He would most likely love to go on hikes or even runs. Anna is the sweetest puppy. She has been growing up in a foster home waiting patiently for her family to come find her. While she is waiting she is working hard on her puppy manners to be able to show her family how smart she is. Anna is curious and has the cutest head tilt when something confuses her. In her foster home she has grown up around 2 small boys, and loves to play tug and ball with them. She loves to sit with them while they watch tv and is amazing at cleaning up their spills under the table. She LOVES toys! The more the better. Squeaky, crinkle, stuffed.. it's all awesome! She also loves tennis balls and will bring them back for you to throw again and again. Anna loves her foster-dog siblings and loves to play with them. Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo a home visit from an RHS representative. Apply. You can complete an application at an MTP event or complete it online by either clicking the button below or the “Adopt” button beneath the pet’s photo in the listings above. Phone Interview or Attend a Meet the Pets (MTP) event. This is a great opportunity to meet the pet you are interested in and see if you connect. We hold these events once a month on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. We post the pets who are expected to attend on Friday evening on our Facebook page. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will set up a home visit where you can meet the pet you are interested in again and the pet can meet other pets in the family. We will try to send the foster parent so you can learn more about how the pet is in a home environment. Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at MTP or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.
