SWEET SWEET SWEET! Found as a stray dumped in the country. Amazingly, Finn has a great temperament and has been evaluated by an accredited behaviorist. He passed all his tests with flying colors. We are happy to share her evaluation with any prospective family. Finn is about 3 years old, neutered, current on vaccinations, hw negative and microchipped. He is learning about toys in his foster home and how to live inside. Finn LOVES people! He kissed the vet, the tech, and everyone in the waiting room at the vet clinic. Finn is very smart and catches on quickly to what you are teaching him. He will make a fabulous addition to the right family. For more information on adopting Finn, please email can.adoptions@yahoo.com or call 903-967-3226.

Story
Hi there, and welcome to my page! So glad you dropped in! I’m still getting to know my new friends here at DAS… they’re going to help me find my new family! I’m helping with the search, too, so I’ve put together FIVE reasons why you should click that “I`m interested ” button and take me home.1. I’m ADORABLE, of course. Just look at me!2. I’m a great listener. Tell me all about your day, I never get tired of lending an ear!3. I have enough tail-wags and kisses to make every day a good day.4. You’ll never have to watch a movie alone again, and I’m not even picky about what we watch!5. Repeat reasons 1 through 4… I’d be the best doggo you could ever want!

Story
Hello world! Meet curious Penny V. This smart and playful border collie mix is ready to explore from sunup to sundown on her daily walks or in the backyard (we nicknamed her 'Lizard Hunter' because she loves to chase them around). She also loves to run and chase with other pups but then snuggles up with her humans at night. Penny does need special attention. She gets nervous with new people (aka stranger danger), but she has been working on it with continuous training and Reconcile anxiety medication. She is very treat-motivated and has a proven track record of winning over new humans through repeat introductions, especially outside of your home. All she needs is patience and some grace! Today she loves boarding and doggie daycare, where she can play with other pups or get head scratches from their staff. Once you are in the circle of trust, you have a friend for life. Though we have loved having Penny as part of our family, she needs a family that can devote more time to her needs and training. Her current home has two small kids, which can be too loud for her. She does better with adults who like to be active but can enjoy a slow morning every now and then. Her dream home also has a backyard, where she can watch the trees for squirrels or snooze in the sun. Penny is a sweet girl, who has been and continues to be a wonderful companion. Once you build her trust, she will love you forever. She is up to date on all vaccinations and is in good health. Help us find our girl her forever home! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Penny V, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Meet Domino - a 50lb, 10-month-old Border Collie / Cattle Dog mix. Domino came into our lives when we picked him up after he had been abandoned in an empty lot as a tiny puppy and rescued by our local animal shelter. He has beautiful, inquisitive blue eyes and a fluffy tail nearly always wagging. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots with a clean bill of health. Domino is friendly, playful, and curious. He has a lot of energy and loves to play - he likes to play tug, tag, and he will bring you toys and drop them in your lap when heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s ready for more games. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s also incredibly sweet and loves hugs, kisses, and cuddles. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll boop his own nose if you point at his nose, and heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll flop on the floor or couch to ask for belly rubs. Domino has never met a cat and he hasnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t spent much time around kids, but since heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s an energetic boy, he may be best with kids who arenâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t smaller than he is. Domino may appreciate dog siblings if they are closer to his size - they should meet first to ensure everyone gets along - but he canâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t cohabitate with small dogs or other small animals; his cattle dog heritage means that he has a high prey drive. He is very affectionate toward people and will be happiest in a home with a yard where he gets lots of attention and exercise. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s learning how to sit, stay, and lie down. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s house-trained, crate-trained, and uses a doggy door with ease. He needs more practice walking on a leash, as he still gets easily distracted by all the exciting sights and smells of the neighborhood. He is a chewer, so heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll need good, safe chew bones and chewy treats when he isnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t running in the yard or getting cuddles. Weâ&#194&#128&#194&#153d like his new family to know that the need to rehome is due to incompatibility with small dogs -- we wish we could be his forever home, but our small dogs need to keep their home, too. Domino is an absolute treasure - eager to learn, sweet and loving, adorable, and full of playful puppy energy. If he sounds like the perfect addition to your family, please apply to adopt him today! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Domino, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
ALL PETS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE DALLAS/FT WORTH METROPLEX MEET AND GREET APPOINTMENTS SET UP WITH PRE-APPROVED Uno arrived with his 5 card game siblings from South TX last year. He was the first to get applications and now he’s the last one left. You might ask why? Well Uno had a knot appear near his jawline and after all kinds of test, lots of $$, and the vets still stumped it was determined that his Lepto vaccine was given in the wrong place and he had a reaction. Sadly it caused him to miss out on adoptions but now the knot is gone and it did not dampen his happy-go-lucky, playful yet snuggly personality! His delightful coloring with spotted ears are just icing on the cake! Uno is really such a fun pup! Now let’s get this one and only Uno boy adopted! He is currently 1.5 years old and approximately 50 lbs. He’s truly the best boy so please consider him for your new family member. If you would like to meet Uno, the first step in the process is to complete an application. Please go to roadtrip4paws.com and click on the Adopt tab to find a link to our online application. Story
We got Cooper from a friend who had a litter of puppies. The mom was border collie and the dad was an australian shepherd. We have had him since January 2019. He is high energy, super intelligent, and protective. We are looking for a home that can spend more time with him since we are a very busy family. He is crate trained and housebroken. He could play fetch for hours at a time and is not destructive of his toys.
