Ermintrude came to Nine Lives in August from Ohlone Humane Society. When she arrived, this petite tabby was terrified — startled by loud noises, sudden movements, and the bustling environment of shelter life. To give Ermintrude the best chance at flourishing, we placed her with one of our amazing foster caregivers. Slowly, Ermintrude began to discover the joys of head scratches, playing with her favorite toys, and lounging on her cat tree. While she still has moments of skittishness, Ermintrude has transformed into a “Velcro lap cat," seeking out pets and attention on her own terms.
