Story
We love Seamus very much, but he mostly goes by the name Moose. He is a purebred brown and white 4 year old Boston Terrier. Seamus is extremely loving, loves to cuddle, play, and is a fantastic watchdog. However, he does not do well with other pets in the home, or small children. Seamus would benefit from being the only pet in a household, and he would thrive in that role. Adjectives we’d use to describe Seamus are: Loving, alert, needy, affectionate, anxious and loyal.

Story
Mookie is an 8.5-year-old Pit Mix, weighing just over 80lbs. She was in a foster home for a couple years before being transferred to our rescue. Mookie is sweet and playful, but she does prefer to be the only dog in the home. She does not get along with cats. She needs slow introductions, but once she trusts you she is madly in love! Mookie keeps her kennel clean and enjoys playing with squeaky plush toys and snuggling in bed. She loves to go on walks with all her volunteer friends. She thinks she's a lap dog too, and it's hard to tell that sweet face no! Mookie's favorite outdoor activities include sunbathing and taking naps in the pool. Mookie has been diagnosed with arthritis and hypothyroidism. She is on meds for both and seems to be doing well! She is working on losing some weight to help with the arthritis.

Story
Queenie is a gorgeous, 4 year old, 70lb pit mix who is just a giant baby in disguise. She is full of energy and loves to play! She has no knowledge of personal space and just wants to be on top of you and in your face. Queenie would do best in a home without other dogs or cats. She may do okay with teenagers. Queenie is on a fish-based sensitive skin and stomach diet. She also receives Apoquel daily. She loves to greet you with her sweet face and wagging tail. She would make an excellent companion and cuddle buddy! She is easily spooked by strange objects (ex. wheelbarrows, plastic bags), shadows, and strangers at first. Once she meets you, she is a lovebug and a goofball! Her favorite toys are giant rope toys and hard chew bones. Please help us get Queenie out of the shelter!

Story
Where are our athletes at? Marlo has never ending supplies of energy and could 100% beat you in an arm-wrestling match if she had hands. Marlo is 3 years old and guessed to be a Saint Bernard/ Pit mix. She's all muscle (weighing in around 80lbs) and goofy loving eyes. Marlo LOVES balls: tennis balls, basketball-sized balls, giant indestruct-a-balls. You name it, she's playing soccer with it. She does need some training with play time as she gets too excited when you go to grab the toy and will try to grab it at the same time as your hand. She does enjoy jumping up onto you for love and to give kisses, too. Once she calms down a bit, she'll sometimes climb onto your lap to snuggle. Marlo needs an active and strong leader who can help her be her best! She is looking for a home without cats or young kids. She is dog-selective, but dog meets are welcome. She seems to do best with more submissive, easy going dogs. Are you looking for a buff dog to join your morning workout routine? Consider this giant goofball!

Story
Meet Cupcake! This gorgeous girl came to us from local animal control after a long, rough, confusing start to life. Cupcake is a typical young pup: full of energy and very curious. She is a very active and energetic dog. Cupcake is likely a pitbull/lab/shepherd mix, weighing in just under 60lbs. She is approximately 1.5 years old. She needs a home that will work with her through her puppy-type behavior and training. She is incredibly smart and knows how to sit and give paw for treats. She does have issues with occasionally jumping up for treats or attention but is easily redirected. Cupcake does have some fear with meeting new people, but once she gets to know you, she is an absolute love! Plus, how can you not love those huge ears! Cupcake would be best placed in a home without cats.

Story
Pluto is a 60lb, goofy, 1.5-year-old hound mix who came to us from local animal control. He's super outgoing and playful, and his energy knows no end. Pluto would love a home with people to play all day but also can help him learn to be the best big boy. Pluto knows sit and is very treat-motivated so would likely be a good learner. Pluto is looking for a home without cats! He's done well meeting dogs of varying sizes here at the shelter. His ideal family will have some hound experience. This sweet boy is always keeping staff and volunteers smiling. We know he will make a family very happy soon!
