Story
I adopted Luna 3 months ago and her estimated age was 9 months. She came to me energetic and happy but also anxious and guarded. She has made great progress on leash skills, manners when greeting people and following simple commands. She is very intelligent but can’t always resist her impulses to chew on things and she needs a lot of mental stimulation. She does great at doggie daycare and at the off leash dog park. She definitely needs adequate time to run and play everyday and is very social when off leash. She is house trained, kennel trained and learns quickly. I am very sad we cannot keep her. Unfortunately she is frequently agitated by the noises my child makes (crying and squealing, high pitched screeches). She will bark at him when he is crying or squealing which makes him cry more and they escalate each other. She has snapped in the air at him a couple times when she is worked up. She definitely needs to be in a home without young children.

Story
Athena came to me from a young family who just had their 2nd child & too many pets. Athena was the youngest of their pets & needed LOTS of love &attention they could not provide. I have had her at my apartment for almost four months & she has been wonderful. She is 100% house trained (I work 8-10 hour days) & is leash trained. She is learning at a rapid pace how to behave inside & outside. We go on long walks (1-2 miles) when I get home from work. She sleeps all night in her bed & has never made a mess in my apartment. She lays on my lap most of the time when her & I are relaxing. She comes with current vaccinations. An elevated bed, additional sleeping bed, blanket, 2 sweaters, raincoat, training collar, regular collar, harness, leash, bones, & a filtered water bowl. She would be perfect with a family that has young kids perhaps 10+ & or individuals who can give her all the love & affection she can get. A back yard would be my #1 preference so she can free as much as possible.

Story
Rocky is an amazing dog... purebred Bernese Mountain Dog, smart and well-trained, trustworthy alone inside, no interest in running off if you accidentally leave a back gate open, great on a leash, low to medium energy (very calm indoors), and the best cuddler in the world! We got him from a military family that was sent overseas, and fell in love with him right away. The issue that has arisen is that he has gone after our older dog a couple of times, and even though we think it's something that could be trained out of him, our dog is too old for us to want to risk an incident during that training period. It's strange, they are great together outside, but on rare occasions inside Rocky seems to have some sort of territorial issue. For that reason we are only considering homes where he would be a single dog, even though he is great with other dogs in an outdoor setting (no issues at dog parks). While it might be fine, he is too good to have to keep finding new homes.

Story
Louis is a great dog and it pains me to give him up. But we have two small children and he likes to steal food. That's food off their plates. Food off the counter. Food from the trashcan. We've tried to train him to stop, but unfortunately I'm at my wits end. He loves to snuggle and play. He really is a good dog. We have a large dog kennel that you can have with him as well.

We’ve had Troy since 2023. We got him from a shelter. He’s a well behaved dog, loves to play with other dogs. He’s house trained, kennel & potty trained. He knows how to sit, give paw, stay, come on, leave it, and no. He’s about 4 years old. He has 2 beds, a house kennel, and a car kennel that will go with him. He likes going on walks and to the dog park.

Story
Nas is such a big lover, he enjoys cuddles although sometimes he forgets his weight and size. He thinks of himself as more of a lap dog haha. He has been around kids aged newborn-11 years and has never shown any signs of aggression towards any of them. He can get a little concerned when tough play is happening around him as he thinks someone maybe hurt. He does live with one other dog and has never been aggressive towards her. He has never been around cats so I’m not sure how he would do. He is definitely not a dog you can judge by its cover. He can look intimidating but is truly the complete opposite. It is breaking our hearts that we are in a position to have to do this but we are hoping to find someone who will love him just as much as we do!
