Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Fort Knox, KY Meet Dalilah! She is an 2 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs between 30-35 lbs. She is spayed and microchipped, but isn’t up to date on shots (except for rabies) or on heartworm prevention. Delilah is very fear reactive. She hasn’t been tested around children. No cats or dogs, due to her reactivity! She is crate-trained, but isn’t housebroken. She was found as a stray 9 months ago and the original owner was never found. The current owner is surrendering her because they are only allowed to have 2 dogs in their apartment. She needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! If you think you can provide a great home for Dalilah, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Dalilah. Owner’s Contact Information: Katie at khagan232@gmail.com.

Story
She is a perfectly good girl. Obedient, healthy, loving. She is professionally house and competition trained (I have seen her zoom through a full obstacle course) and she has her Good Citizens Certificate. We love her, and this is one of the hardest decisions, but we know she is not good with cats and shouldn't be in a household with kids, and we have an infant on the way, so we are looking for a new good home for the good girl. She loves to go on adventures in the car, short or long, she loves to be your best friend. She won't leave you, run away, and responds perfect to e-collar if needs to be corrected on a command. She is loving, silly, can zoom like farm dog or chill with you next inside indefinitely. She is perfectly crate/kennel trained (it's not a punishment to her, she finds it comfortable) and loves to play with other dogs. Very social girl. We are looking for a great home for her because she deserves it and we have a little time before the baby comes.

Story
Goofy is just what his name says, GOOFY! Goofy was pulled from LMAS because he needed longer to get a home because of his special needs. This what his foster parents had to say about him: "Goofy is the sweetest! He's basically a brindle colored tank! He loves being anywhere you are. He loves giving kisses and hugs. He tends to put his whole body weight on you when he loves on you because he just doesn't know what personal space is. His tail hasn't stopped wagging since he's been with us. He's really just a happy dog! He's so happy, he probably wouldn't make the best guard dog because he just wags his tail at every delivery person or neighbor he sees out of the window. At first he was timid, scared and confused but now everyone is his friend! Sometimes he gets things he's not supposed to like shoes or a cat dishes but he always just brings them to us and then walks away. When you tell him no about it, he just wags his tail and gives you a half smile. He loves going on walks and does well on a leash. He always needs something to do so toys in abundance are his best friends! He will even bring those to you to show them off! When he gets super excited, he chatters his teeth and drools a little. Unfortunately we haven't been able to successfully integrate him in with our resident dogs but hes doing well with the cats. So he would be best in an only dog home. He does seem to like to watch the bearded dragon, too! He would also be best with older children. Someone needs a little goofy in their lives, why not adopt this goofy guy??" Goofy is a neutered, 2 year old, Treeing Tennessee Brindle/Pit mix. He is UTD on vaccines and microchipped. He is potty trained and speciality crate trained. Goofy is also looking for a foster home so his current foster parents can help save other special needs dogs. Please fill out an application on our website for this sweet guy or reach out with any questions!

Story
UPDATE: Coco “Bean” came to BDR a few months ago, so overweight walking the neighborhood was too much. Today, the slimmer girl is now doing interval training with her foster mom. Her high prey drive makes way for hours in the yard squirrel hunting, she even try to climb the trees with her new figure. She will do better with similar sized dogs. This lady loves and demands cuddles and sometimes you can get a glimpse of a grin. ——————————- Coco is a stunningly beautiful fawn girl that is 8 years old. Her life has been spent being a Mama dog but now it's time for Coco to be spoiled. Her foster Mom says Coco is the sweetest girl she has ever had. Loves to lay in the sunshine. But like many dobies does not care for fireworks or thunderstorms. To soothe her during these stressful times she will carry around her foster Mom's shoe and that makes her feel better. Guess it's like having her puppies again. Currently lives with a very young dobie boy and she tolerates him for the most part. As you can imagine Coco isn't wanting to be bothered with a young pup too much, she has done that enough in life. Coco is looking for a family that wants to treat her like the queen bee that she deserves to be. A stroll around the neighborhood or just relaxing in the yard with her people will be her ideal day.
