Story
Meet Daisy! While this girl is as sweet as a spring flower when she knows you; if she doesn't know you she comes across as a wild rose--a little thorny. Once you're friends, Daisy is a goofy, fun-loving, adventurous girl who can act curious and joyful like a puppy. She enjoys bouncing through snow when we have it, and especially adores showing off her "babies" (stuffies.)She loves to carry them in her mouth while walking, encouraging you to look, but respectfully requesting you don't touch them. Daisy is your typical shepherd; she enjoys being active, and doesn't like to just sit around all day. She LOVES being outside. She's slowly learning new things; from loose leash walking to sit and other basic commands! She's smart and does enjoy a nice food-based reward! As for children, Daisy wouldn't mind sharing her home with kids over the age of 12 who are familiar with dog body language.Interested in meeting Daisy? Swing on down to KVHS during adoption hours!

Story
Hey there, I'm Max!I'm a snuggly boy who LOVES belly rubs! I love to play especially with balls and stuffies!I can take a little while to warm up to new people, but once I'm comfortable with you, you are my BFF! The way to my heart is definitely snacks! One of my absolute favorites is freeze dried beef liver, but I'm willing to explore other tasty treats!Rest assured, though. There are other ways to my heart. I like a good booty scratch session more than most and a neck massage once we are good friends. Need to get some computer work done? I'm you're guy as you can see from the picture. Are you someone who is willing to butter me up? Stop by KVHS during adoption hours and meet me today!

Story
This zoomy, toy loving boy loves all people he meets! He also loves kids and did well with them in the previous home. We are recommending rough and tumble kids because of his high excitement, no spatial awareness as well as puppy behaviors. Cash could benefit from one on one training such as "4 on the floor" meaning learning not to jump every time he see's someone. Cash is a super bouncy, smart, playful boy that leans into people for hugs and think's he's a lap dog. He knows most of his commands such as sit, give paw, stay and lay down. Cash is seeking his forever home with no other animals. If you are interested in meeting Cash, please come with all family members to KVHS during opening hours.

Story
Meet Neo!He may enjoy being the only animal in his home, but don't let that stop you from checking him out! Neo is extremely smart and picks up on new things very quickly. He knows his name, sit, down, does well on leash, learning the start of heel, the "Find it" game with treats, and is always down to try and learn new tricks! He's very food motivated. Neo's ideal home would be an active family with children who are 10+ and one who is dedicated to continuing his training, helping him with his separation anxiety, and going on a lot of walks/adventures. He deeply enjoys being outside and using his nose to sniff around! Interested in meeting Neo? Swing on down with the whole family and ask about him!

Story
Meet Coulter, Are you on the hunt for a gorgeous hunk? Is it even better if that brawny boy is intimidating towards strangers? What if that gentleman weighs 80lbs yet loves to indulge in belly rubs while on your lap?Coulter very may well be the dog for you. He is loyal and affectionate with family and friends, but suspicious of strangers. He requires comforting during thunderstorms. We can't decide if he runs more like a gazelle or a ballerina, but he is graceful as all get out. Coulter does not prefer the company of male dogs, however we feel he could do well in a home with lady canine companions. If your home is one that contains felines, Coulter may do well with them, especially if they are used to dogs. Lastly because of Coulter's size and initially suspicious nature, we are recommending a home with kids 16 and over.If you are interested in meeting this precious, powerful floof, stop on by.

Story
LOOKING FOR FOSTER TO ADOPT! Meet Thor! This handsome boy has become a staff favorite! He's a total love bug with his people, although it does take several meetings to become "one of his people". He LOVES playing in the yard especially with Kongs and tennis balls! He knows basic commands such as "sit" and "leave it". He gives the BEST hugs! Thor has had some troubles with his ears and now is worried when people he doesn't trust seem to be trying to touch them. For this reason, Thor needs to be in a home with no kids under 18. Thor has previously lived with cats and other dogs. He has lots of dog friends at the shelter!
