Story
Tobias is a handsome, sweet, energetic, loveable dog who loves to take long walks, go for car rides, fetch, play tug, and lie at your feet. He is good with voice and hand commands. He is house trained. However, he has marked when he is in new areas. He likes to chew antlers and his toys. However, he also likes shoes, socks, and some plastic items that are left on the floor. He has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia, however you would never know it by the way he runs, jumps, and tugs. He goes to his kennel on command. He is comfortable in his kennel when left alone at home. He stays off furniture, although he is allowed on “his” chair, which he goes to on command.

Story
We adopted Alexa as a puppy and she was the first member of our family, so we want to make sure she finds the right fit. She is very loving and likes to snuggle up and be close to you. She loves to play and get attention, tug of war is her favorite game. She also loves people and any attention she can get so she wouldn't be a good guard dog. She is very high energy (and is very strong) and needs a privacy fence and lots of exercise. She can climb over regular chain link fences at normal height without other precautions, but we do have a wireless fencing system we will pass along if it seems like a fit other than the fence. She loves other dogs and the dog park is one of her favorite places to visit. She hasn't been around cats much, but when she was a puppy she wanted to chase them and play. She has never been aggressive to anything other than birds. We are rehoming for 2 reasons, 1 she is very big so her playing is too much for our young kids. 2, she needs more exercise.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Living at Heartland for an extended period comes with lots of benefits. During my time here I have learned many obedience skills. Spending time in my crate in the office is a real treat for me. My house manners are good. I do like sleeping in big peoples beds. I make myself at home quickly. I'm very proud that I donated blood to help save a fellow dog friend in need. I'm a powerful lady but very responsive to consistent leadership. If you are experienced with large dogs and want a partner on those evening runs, I'm the perfect choice. I also have a very big bark. Obedience training is a snap. You will enjoy challenging my mind as well as my body, I promise. I weigh 88 pounds. I'm still a puppy at heart, happy go lucky but quite intimidating in appearance. I want to be the only pet in the home. I like being the Queen. Because of my strength of body and mind, I would not be a good choice for first time dog owners.***I am microchipped.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
My breed combination of Chesapeake Bay Retriever and Labrador make me a great athlete. I weigh about 46 pounds. I will need regular exercise and training, Chesapeakes are smart but strong willed. I respond well to positive training and know sit and down. I am working on my other basic skills with my staff. Consistency in my training will help me build confidence in the folks around me. I enjoy playing ball and happily toss it back to have it thrown again. If you are looking for an active friend to enjoy every part of your life, then stop in. I can't wait to meet you. We will certainly have many adventures together.***I am micro chipped.

Story
Meet Wyatt! I am a great combo of herding breeds and very intelligent. I would love to have a job working sheep or cattle. I also love to be with people and enjoy a good deep massage. Working breeds like me need regular exercise as well as mental stimulation- obedience, agility or flyball if you don't have anything I can herd. Stop in soon to meet me. I am micro chipped.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Trudy! I am full of life and energy. Pointers are known for their wonderful use of their nose to find birds and prey. I love to use my nose so games of hiding food or scented objects would be great fun. I am learning some basic skills to start obedience training and already know how to sit. Having an experienced owner that understands my breed would best. Stop in soon to meet me. I am micro chipped just like all my HPC friends.
