Story

Sam is a snuggle bug with a gentle spirit. He was found at our doorstep abandoned. Puerto Rico. Sam has had an extremely difficult life. Although he plays very well with our other dogs because of his difficult past, he needs to be supervised during playtime and fed separately in another room at feeding time. He has had to defend himself when scavenging for food and shelter, so he would thrive best in a home where he is the only dog to receive love, attention, and plenty of snuggles. He is only about a year old. He is very intelligent and somewhat submissive. He walks well on a leash and loves to explore the woods, leaping over logs and jumping on boulders. He plays well with children and loves car rides! He has been a pleasure to foster here in our home, but we have two other dogs and because of Sam’s past this is not a good home for him. We are looking for someone who can show this guy safety and love. We will have him neutered if he finds the right home.

When Autumn first arrived, she was a bit stressed and scared, but with patience and love, she has shown her sweet personality! She enjoys going for walks and runs and does great in the car. While she may not be overly interested in toys just yet, she absolutely loves affection and will shower you with love once she trusts you. Bowie is excitable and will need continued training and structure to help him thrive. He does not get along with other dogs, so he would do best in a home where he is the only pet.
