Story
**Meet Chupie!** She is a 3 year old pomeranian x chihuahau mix (Pomchi). Chupie enjoys human companinoship and receiving love and snuggles. She enjoys sticking by her foster dad's side, asking for pets and cuddles often! She gets very excited when her foster gets home and meets him with zoomies and happy dog tail-wags! She likes to spin in circles to show she is excited! She is always asking for belly rubs and enjoys to curl up for a nap. This adorable Pomchi may be pint-sized, but she has a big personality and an even bigger need for a very special family. Due to her past experiences, Chupie is working through fear reactivity when she feels her boundaries aren't respected. Chupie does have a bite history. None of this is her fault-she's likely been undersocialized and did not get the proper introduction to gentle touch. This little girl is even quite frightened of her own leash and collar. She will need work with desensitization and counter conditioning to build her confidence. She needs a home where she'll feel safe, understood, and loved for who she is. Chupie thrives with people who understand the importance of letting her come to them on her terms. Her new family must be able to recognize her signals for comfort and consent to touch. A calm, quiet environment is best for her continued progress. We are looking for a home without children at this time. With the right guidance, she has so much potential to build trust and confidence. Whether it's an experienced adopter or someone willing to learn and grow with her, her family should have patience and understanding for her unique needs. Chupie has the cutest face to greet you each day! She will form a deep and meaningful bond for those who earn her trust. The small, sweet moments of companionship make the effort worthwhile. This little one needs someone who sees her for who she *can* be with time, love, and respect. Chupie is currently in foster care and thriving! She is living with a dog and two cats, and doing great! She is really coming out of her shell and showing how amazing she truly is. If you think you're the perfect match for Chupie, we'd love to hear from you!
