Story
Cass was found around two months ago on my way to work. He was a skinny bean that clearly needed some love. He is playful, kind, cuddly and back to full health! He does great with our other two dogs and cats, but our home is not big enough for another animal and we believe he deserves a forever home with owners who have more time to spend with him and provide proper training. *We brought him to the vet and he was given a dewormer and his first round of shots (paperwork will be provided). There is no adoption fee. Rather, we will require proof of a scheduled vet visit to receive his final round of shots. **We are unsure of his exact breed, but he does look like he could be a Treeing Tennessee Brindle (option not provided when creating his adoption profile).

Story
Lincoln is such a sweet boy. I work such long hours and he gets lonely. He is extremely affectionate and has been to a couple of training classes. He knows how to sit and lay down and shake. He is very good on a leash and loves everyone. He currently lives with two cats and another dog and they all get along well.

Story
Penny is a 19 month old Brittany/Hound mix. She is UTD on vaccines, microchipped, Heartworm negative and on preventative.  She minds her foster mom really well and has great recall. Penny knows the command sit and is working on stay. She is not very vocal and does not bark much. She loves running in the yard and is good with other dogs. Penny loves her toys and she also loves treats. Penny is a very healthy girl. Penny's foster mom says she is not destructive and loves to lounge in her dog bed. Because she gets overly excited, Penny jumps on people, but her foster mom is working with her.  Because of her jumping, Penny will not be a good fit for a home with small children.  Penny is being fostered in Tennessee. Her adoption fee is $325.00 and can be transported up to 1400 miles via our Canine Railroad with the adopter taking the last leg, usually less than 100 miles.  Applications for Penny can be found on www.nbran.org.  For more information, email dltuthill@epbfi.com or ztasuzanne@gmail.com.  November 4, 2024, 9:17 pm

Story
Elijah is ready to find his forever home. Elijah is a 2 1/2 year old Australian Shepherd/Husky cross (best guess). He has the most beautiful blue eyes! He is being fostered in Soddy Daisy, TN. Elijah was found wandering a neighborhood in TN. A family took him in and kept him safe while they searched for an owner, which was never found. They wanted what was best for him and reached out to ASF. Upon coming into rescue, it was found that Elijah was heartworm positive. ASF jumped into action for his treatment plan and he completed treatment with no complications at all and he is now heartworm free! The ideal home for Elijah would be one where he can be a part of the family. He's a friendly and happy boy. It would be best to have a home without small children, just because of his size, he weighs right at 65 lbs. Older children would be fine. He gets along great with other dogs. No cats or livestock, as he is a little too interested and wants to chase them. A taller fence, such as a privacy fence or taller than the standard 4 ft fence is recommended. That's due to the husky in him and wanting to explore. He walks well on the leash so a fence isn't necessarily required if he has someone who is very active and would include him in daily activities on the leash, walks, hikes, outings, etc. Elijah is neutered up to date on all vaccines, on heartworm and flea/tick prevention and is microchipped. Elijah will make a wonderful companion and is ready to take on new adventures with his new person or family! A link to our adoption application can be found below. https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/old-adoption There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.
