Story
We found this good boy on a highway in rural TN. We have checked all over for his owners-called vets, shelters, talked to neighbors, posted online, checked for a microchip-with no luck. We have had him for almost a week, and although he is very sweet, we already have a dog and cannot keep him forever. He is very well mannered and friendly, although seems unfamiliar with home living. He occasionally tries to pee inside, and doesn't like to be crated. He seems unfamiliar with toys and treats, we assume he was an outdoor dog who didn't get much attention. He spends most of his time sleeping and following us around the house. He walks on a leash pretty well and enjoys going for jogs! He is very mellow and gets along great with our dog. We wanted to reach out before taking him to a shelter, as the only local one his a high-volume kill shelter.

Story
Not sure of full breed.. vets seems to think either a Malinois or German Shepard mix. We found 3 puppies in the woods near a fire, no one claimed so they were considered strays - found them all homes and she was brought back due to no fault of her own aside from being a puppy! She’s great with other dogs, loves cuddles, uses poddy pads, and doing well with crate training! This girl deserves all the loves and needs a forever home..

Story
Lola is 4 year old “Staffy” Basenji mix. She has been with me for over 3 years and been glued to me since day one. I think she knows I need her. She is well trained and socialized. She went everywhere with me as a service dog. Her personality goes from cat like to adventurists like me. She enjoys hiking, sleeping, bars, and nature. She knows several commands and is perceptive to body language. She is good driven so easily trained but you won’t find her going through garbage or grabbing you food off the counter. She loves blankets more than dog beds. She is really easy going and don’t complain. Plays well with dogs(when she is being social) , don’t mind cats, ok with children. Medically she has always had shots, spayed but she does have allergies . I keep her diet simple. She has a great personality and just happy to be involved and loved.

Story
We love Lucy’s sweet personality, but we are a busy family. She needs more attention and exercise. She is crate-trained and unfortunately spends a lot of time in her crate. She loves long walks. She does not bark at all, and we think her previous owners hit her. She is the sweetest thing.

Not good with kids, Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
Frodo is around 6 years old (we think). He was given to us. He is not neutered and gets along well with our big dog. My husband is sick and 2 dogs is too much for us. Frodo does have anxiety and will need extra time to adapt to a new owner. He may also benefit from anti anxiety medication...(I have never looked into it.). Once he is comfortable with you, he is totally sweet and loves to be a lap dog. Does not do well around young children.

Cocker Spaniel

Male, Adult
Chattanooga, TN
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Not good with dogs, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Comet is a cocker spaniel born May 16th 2016. He belonged to my mother who recently passed away and I'm unfortunately unable to keep him due to finances and the fact that he doesn't get along with my dogs. Comet is a sweet and very playful dog who is toy-obsessed and loves lap cuddles. He's a dog who wants to be by your side at all times. He's prone to ear infections and allergy related skin issues so he's on a prescription diet to help with that. Comet injured his back legs playing a few years ago so he takes an anti-inflammatory as needed because his legs can get a bit sore and stiff when it's cold or if he runs for too long. He lacks socialization with small children and other animals like cats so it's unclear how he'd react to them and he needs basic behavioral training but is eager to please and would do well with an experienced and patient owner that has the resources and extra time needed to train him properly.
