There are supplements and anti-virals that can be tried in the future to see if that helps decrease the draining. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $150 plus taxCookie was an friendly outside cat in the Pipestone area for couple years and had a few sets of kittens.  A local rescuer recognized that she was tame and should be an indoor cat, and she came to MARS.  Cookie is a young. playful girl, with beautiful and unique markings on her face.   She is interested in playing with toys, nice with the other cats, and loves to get treats.  However, Cookie is still a skittish with people.  She has been in her foster home for 2 months and she is getting braver all the time, and when her foster has convinced her to accept petting she purrs and makes biscuts, but about half them time she runs away when they go to pet her.  Cookie is gentle, is never aggressive, and would be fine in a home with kids who can participate in her sociliazation. My name is Lulu and I will be 7 years old on May 16. I have been in a foster home for a year since both of my humans died w My name is Lulu and I will be 7 years old on May 16. I have been in a foster home for a year since both of my humans died within 10 months of each other (March 23 & January 24). My foster family loves me but I don’t love their cat or dog so I need a place all to myself. I am independent, but I do like attention and to sit on my foster mom‘s lap. I was pretty sassy when I first came here, but I’ve turned into a really sweet cat. I’m pretty loved & spoiled with my own room, cat TV and even a hammock in the window so I can look outside. I love pulling pillowcases out of the draw & I really love playing in my tunnel. My foster mom said that I can bring that with me to my new house. I may be nervous, but what has helped me is having the Comfort Zone plug-in diffuser and collar to help keep me calm. Let me know if you’d like to meet me.

Bean is about 10 or 11 years old. My friend found her as a stray and I agreed to take her in because they were in the middle of moving. I ended up keeping her. In the past five years I got married and had 2 kids. My husband and I both work full time long days and Bean doesn't get all the attention she needs. When we started having kids she was depressed. We put her on medicine and she is doing better but she needs a home where she can get more attention. She loves to snuggle. She isn't a fan of strangers and is slow to warm up so it will take awhile for her to feel comfy with you, but once she does she loves her people. She will chew on anything so her food needs to be monitored and she likes to chew on rubber, leather and plastic. She isnt declawed. She plays rough, like a kitten, so that is tough with small kids, but she does love the kids. Overall my house is crazy and Bean needs more love! Looking for a household that can give her that.

Little Girl would do well with 'sister' Spot in a new home but it's not required. She is shy but friendly with people once she’s familiar with them. She will likely hide for a while in the beginning as she adjusts, she is a master at that game, however she does have favorite hiding spots under cabinets at her home. This cutie was rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico and he is so grateful for his second chance! Simon and his friend Picasso are approximately one year old and both are fully vaccinated and sterilized. Very sweet and easy-going best describes these sweet rescues. Don't need to be adopted together, but they play well together and with others. So, if you are looking for two amazing cats these two would fit the bill. Edward is a beautiful orange tabby. He loves everyone! He loves to lay in your lap. He was born in April 2024. He has been neutered & is up to date on his vaccinations. This animal is being fostered in the South but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, (www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

Madison is very sweet but a little cautious at first. She gets along with other cats, small dogs and people. She is currently in a foster home with several other cats & dogs. After she is in her forever loving home, she will blossom into her true self with lots of love. She has been spayed and is up to date on her vaccinations. This animal is being fostered in the South but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee. Hermes was adopted by me in 2021 from a humane society. He was brought in as a stray, and they estimated him to be about three years old at the time.he had already been neutered when he was brought in and had clearly been around people before. He's always been what I refer to as 'aggressively affectionate'; he love to be pet, held, and given hugs. He's unique in that he likes to be held on his back, similar to how you would hold an infant. He is currently on an anxiety medication to help with his inappropriate urination, and he has not had any incidents since starting the medication. He gets along great with dogs, but would probably benefit from going to a home without other cats, especially male cats. Hermes is an incredibly friendly and affectionate cat, but unfortunately I work too much to be able to provide him with the mental stimulation that he needs, and because of that, he's been having behavioral issues. I hope he can find a home with someone who has more time for him.
