Story
A portion of my adoption fee has been sponsored by my friends at The Murray Fund. The adoption fee sponsorship credit of $175.00 will be applied during the contract process Hi, my name is Hootie! I'm a transfer from a local impound in MN. From the foster: Hi, my name is Hootie! I am a cat who is incredibly active and find my greatest joy in running, jumping, and playing! I love to oversee everything that happens in the household, making sure you're doing all of your chores correctly. Since I have so much to do and oversee, I don't have time for cuddling and prefer to spend my time doing my own things. I came into the rescue as a single kitten with no siblings, so I'm still learning to be a gentleman. Since I didn't have siblings to show me the ropes, I'm still a bit mouthy and will play a bit rough, so I might not be the best choice for a household with children. I do have a condition with my heart that I was born with that has given me a heart murmur at a grade 4/6 currently, and therefore will need heart medications twice daily for the rest of my life. I also will need to have my heart checked at my regular vet visits, or potentially more often if my condition declines. I'm not a huge fan of the vet since I have my own very important agenda to attend to throughout the day, so I have been known to pass along my advice on how they can do their jobs more efficiently. I enjoy my role as a job supervisor and intend to rise the the top levels of my profession! Medical Bio:Hello! Throughout my veterinary care at The Bond Between, it was discovered that I have a grade 4/6 heart murmur. I had a cardiologist and echocardiogram performed. The Vet Team recommends that I stay on my current medication and have special blood work done every 6 months to monitor for any signs of heart disease. My future adopter can choose to pursue further cardiac consultation/treatment per a primary veterinarian's recommendations at their own expense.

I am Stripes. I am from Texas. I am best friends with my pal Gracie and we need to be adopted together. Our total adoption fee will be $300. Hello! My name is Stripes, and I traveled with my sister Gracie all the way from Texas to TBB. I’m a shy and timid girl who’s been through a lot of transitions in my short life. I would do best in a quiet and calm home (no small kids, please!). My ideal forever home will have a room I can have as my own while I settle in, and lots of patience while I build up trust and confidence at my own speed. It may take me a month or more before I feel comfortable enough coming out of this room to explore. Please don’t let this scare you! I just like to take things at my own speed. Once I’ve built up trust, I’ll be integrated into the household. My foster mom is happy to talk to potential adopters about ways to help me feel comfortable in my forever home! I’m not a fan of strangers (I’ll run and hide), but I’m definitely looking for a best friend! I’ll sit in your lap if you work from home, sleep near your feet at night, and let you know I want attention by head butting your hand or meowing at you so I can get pets! I have impeccable litter box skills, and I’m pretty good about using a scratching post. I don’t like being picked up or having my nails trimmed (I will get hissy), so a savvy forever family with experience and confidence handling cats will be helpful. Some of my favorite things include: -Napping in your lap while you work or watch tv -Sleeping on fuzzy blankies -Playing chase with my sister Gracie around the house -Chin and ear scratches I would do best in a home with older, respectful children or no children, as quick movements and random noises scare me. I’m a little picky about my feline friends, but have tolerated other kitties with slow introductions. I haven’t lived with dogs in my current foster home. Also, my sister Gracie is my best friend. We’ve been through a lot together, and would like to be adopted together. If we sound like a good fit, please apply to learn more!

I’m a good hunter, and I’ll bring you toys. If you throw them, sometimes I even bring them back! I love getting ear scratches and will rub against you to let you know I would like attention. A portion of my adoption fee has been sponsored by my friends at Tito's Handmade Vodka. The adoption fee sponsorship credit of $150.00 will be applied during the contract process. Hi! My name is Aya Louisa and I am from Minnesota. From the foster: Aya is a calm and independent cat. She greets me at the door when I come home and follows me around for 15-20 minutes.. When she's hungry, she lets me know with cute meows until I adjust my plans to feed her. While she enjoys sitting on my lap or near me for pets, she's not a fan of cuddling. One of her favorite pastimes is watching the world through windows and screen doors. Petite yet full of personality, Aya is a wonderful companion.

Story
A portion of my adoption fee has been sponsored by my friends at Tito's Handmade Vodka. The adoption fee sponsorship credit of $125.00 will be applied during the contract process. Hi! I'm from Minnesota! From her foster: Meet Tape (aka sweet girl/little girl/missy/and more). She is a petite, shy girl who appreciates a quiet space with many options for where she can go to be on her own when she feels like it. After 4+ months in her foster home, Tape has shown great progress (and promise!) towards being comfortable with people. Day by day, she gets a little closer to me or stays a little longer in my presence. If you’re real patient and still, she’ll sometimes come up to sniff/boop an extended hand. She’ll also get close to you while playing with string toys. All that said, Tape is still very much scared of people. Potential adopters need to know that she is currently not affectionate and nowhere near a “lap cat.” With time, she could get there, but a future family should not adopt Tape if they are counting on her to become affectionate. Her future family needs to be ok with her as is he is today. Living with another cat is essential for Tape. She needs the comfort and familiarity of a feline buddy. She currently lives with Compass (boy) and Ivy (girl), who are also available for adoption. Tape favors Compass, whom she’s been with the longest. Potential adopters should know: Tape had a rough start before coming to rescue (hoarding situation), which I believe is why she is so fearful. It took Tape several months in her foster home to fully adjust. At this time, she is still fearful of people. Cannot be approached. She is very curious though! She will closely watch you and how you and other cats interact with each other. She’ll walk over and stop just a couple feet away when you are petting another cat. She is very playful, which is so fun to see! She enjoys cat trees and looking out windows. We feel strongly that she should live in a quiet, stable environment of adults only who can give her all the space and time she needs. She likes having multiple litter boxes. If her home has multiple floors, preferably there is a litter box on each of them. This will also help prevent any accidents in the beginning when she may be too afraid to venture far from a hiding spot. In summary, Tape is shy. You will need to put in the work to win her over, and it will be SO rewarding when you do eventually earn her trust. If you think she is the one you have been looking for, please fill out an application. She will be… scared to meet you 😊 but let’s find out if you’re a match!

Story
Hi! My name is Jasper and I am from Minnesota. I'm the loudest kitten in my house. I was born 8 months ago and was brought into the care of my fosters in a sickly state. I have now overcome my illness and won't let the hardships of my past slow me down. I like to spend my days watching the birds and squirrels outside, sometimes even trying to catch them through the glass; playing with my sparkly puffballs, and cuddling with my people. Jasper has very little sense of personal space and a love for the company of people and fellow cats. His favorite toy is sparkly balls, which tend to end up under stoves and fridges. Don't worry, he'll tell you when they are in need of rescuing. He also likes chasing string, wand toys, and playing with the other cats in the house. Jasper can get carried away when he's excited, resulting in play bites that are a little too hard and may not be suitable for a household with young children.
