Story
Hi! My name is Oliver and I am the sweetest boy! I absolutely love people and start purring just looking at you! I love attention. I will follow you around, sit on your lap and sleep by your feet because I love being the center of attention! I am a very big boy that loves to have fun playing with toys. Catnip is pretty much my favorite thing on earth. I also enjoy eating. I get along with some cats but not all cats are my favorite. I think I would do great as an only cat or with a cat who isn't too dominant (because as I mentioned I love being the center of attention!). I am not a fan of dogs but I do well with kids. You really need to come meet me - I am a huge teddy bear cat with the biggest heart. I am FIV+ but that doesn't slow me down! I can still safely live with other cats as long as I get along with them and I will live a normal, healthy life! I do ask that you take me to the vet twice a year though to make sure I stay in tip top shape! FIV can lower a cat's immune system so things like kitty colds can affect me more than an FIV negative cat. But overall there is not any extra day-to-day care needed for me! Oliver is fixed, microchipped, FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for his age. Adoption Fee: $250 + applicable tax MEET ME/ADOPT ME: If you'd like to arrange a meeting or begin the adoption process, please fill out an adoption application by visiting https://www.twincitiespetrescue.org/adopt/ or clicking "adopt me!. Story
Hi my name is Ares! I am a male short haired cat with a lot of energy. I get along with other cats, but my foster mom does not have children or dogs, so she doesn't know how well I'd get along with them. I am a special needs cat; I am FIV+. Since being rescued, I've been treated for an ear polyp, roundworm, and gingivitis. The rescue has taken such good care of me, I am very happy and healthy. I am very playful; I love to chase a laser and play with a wand toy. I also love to look out the window. Me and the other cat at my foster home spend hours at a time looking out the front door. My foster parents work from home and I love having them home all day. Even though I am very playful, I can also be a sweet lap cat. I love to snuggle with my foster parents or the other cat at my foster home. My favorite spots to nap are my foster moms lap and my soft cat bed. I am a very sweet boy, but I require quite a bit of attention. I'm working on some minor litter box issues, and would do well with someone who is patient and has the time and willingness to train me. Although I am FIV+, I enjoy being around other cats. If you already have an FIV+ cat, that would be perfect! I am fixed, microchipped, FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for my age. Ares had 12 teeth removed and will likely need his remaining teeth removed sometime down the line. Because of this, he is only able to eat wet cat food. Adoption Fee: $230 + applicable tax MEET ME/ADOPT ME: If you'd like to arrange a meeting or begin the adoption process, please fill out an adoption application by visiting https://www.twincitiespetrescue.org/adopt/ or clicking "adopt me!". Story
I'm Max, I'm a pretty big guy but I am known as the gentle giant. This means I get along with everyone and everything. I have shown to have little interest in dogs but appreciate some feline company from time to time for some additional activity and play. Individual play is not too much of my thing, I enjoy mostly being a loaf around the house. He is very sweet and would like nothing more than to hang around his favorite humans or anyone willing to give him attention, pets, or food! He will let you know if he needs any of the above by finding you and brushing against you or chatting you down. If you ever want to chat, Max is always there to respond. Otherwise, you can find him lounging and loafing in close proximity to you, happy as can be! He will often follow you around the house just to sprawl out for maximum petting area. Since Max is gentle and passive, this likely led him to suffering some scarring on his ears prior to joining the rescue. However, He has no long term complications other than minimal hair on his ears. This has likely led to him being somewhat nervous around big tom cats prior to his foster home. Max would do best in a home with multiple people, animals, or work-from-home individuals. He requires more attention than the average cat and therefore would be best in a household that can meet the expectation. He has done great in his foster home with a second feline and hybrid-working foster parent. Come see me at the Petco in Bloomington located at 7995 Southtown Dr, Bloomington, MN 55431 Max is fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLV negative, and up to date on vaccinations for their age Adoption Fee: $ 250+ applicable tax MEET ME/ADOPT ME: If you'd like to arrange a meeting or begin the adoption process, please fill out an adoption application by visiting https://www.twincitiespetrescue.org/adopt/ or clicking "adopt me!. Story
Hello, I'm Tim McGraw! I have a friendly and affectionate nature. I'm known for my gentle nudges when I'm in the mood for pets and cuddles, which has always been my way of showing love. I get along quite well with everyone, including dogs, as long as our introductions are handled slowly and with care. Tim needs a quiet space to warm up to new places but once he gets comfortable he is charming. Tim was brought into rescue with his three kittens and their mama who have all been adopted. Tim McGraw has a heart murmur due to a phenomenon called systolic anterior motion of the mitral valve (SAMM) which creates excess strain on his heart valves due to his blood pumping faster and harder than a typical cat. He's had an 'echo' completed and a cardiologist consultation who indicated that he should have his heart monitored annually for changes. But right now, there is no indication that it will affect his life span or quality of life. However, he has been put on a daily medication called Atenolol to help lower his heart rate to prevent additional damage. He takes this pill like a champ! We usually put it in a treat or just stick it in his mouth with no issues. Tim is fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for his age. Story
MALCOLM and MARNIE are approx. 3 1/2 years old. They are both cute brown and white tabbies who came into our program as strays and were very, very scared, but they have enjoyed the routine in their foster home and their individual personalities have blossomed. They love being together and Marnie feels braver with Malcolm nearby. Malcolm has short hair and loves playing with his two rope toys in particular, pushing them under a door and then trying to scoop them back inside. When called, he stops whatever he’s doing to enthusiastically run over for affection. Malcolm is so excited to get neck rubs and back scratches that he happily purrs and bonks his head into anything and everything nearby - furniture, his foster’s legs, his food dish, or whatever else happens to be close! He gives gentle love bites to his foster’s ankles and toes to ask for attention. He will sit on his foster's lap when she is relaxing and has become so much more trusting in his foster home. Marnie has lovely thick, medium hair and had become more at ease. She is very curious and likes to check out what her people are doing and wants to be in the same room as they are. She loves treats and eats out of her foster’s hand and has learned that being petting is great - just don't move too fast or she will run. Marnie enjoys playing with any kind of interactive feather toy on a string. When she is feeling especially shy, she tucks herself underneath her kitty bed and moves around the room with it on top of her. When she is feeling more confident, she loves sitting at the top of her cat tree by the window and watching the activity in the yard. If you are a special person who has a lot of patience and who can give Malcolm and Marnie a quiet home and consistent routine, they will give you so much in return (they do well when they know what to expect). They would do best in a home without other animals or children and in a home where their people don't plan on moving. Malcolm and Marnie are neutered/spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, and distemper and rabies vaccinated. Their adoption fee is $320 for the adorable pair. Call 651-771-5662 if you are the special person for these two sweet cats.

Story
RILEY is a stunning girl who is approx. 2 years old. She is a beautiful brown and black tiger with emerald green eyes and is very sweet and gentle. Riley is happy to be safely indoors; it took her some time to feel brave and trust her fosters but she has blossomed into a wonderful cat. She loves to play with her toys – the ball in the ring that goes around, mice, balls, anything! She will happily come to you if you have a treat for her. When she hears the treat bag, she immediately stretches, then rubs against you or comes to you to get her treats. She sleeps on the bed at night but isn’t a big cuddler yet (that may come with time). Riley loves the other cats in the foster home and will take naps with one of them and hang out in the sunshine with them. She likes to be petted and purrs happily; although she gets scared if a hand surprises her in her face – she likes slow movements and gentle voices (she hasn't been around men). Riley is a sweet and beautiful cat who wants to be loved. She needs a quiet home without dogs or children and a patient, kind adopter who will help her slowly adjust to her new home - just as she has nicely adjusted to her foster home. She would also like a friendly cat or two in her forever home. A home rather than an apartment is preferred so she doesn't have to move and move. Riley is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, and distemper and rabies vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $175. Call 651-771-5662 to inquire about sweet, gentle Riley.

PHOENIX is a 1 year old, very handsome boy with stunning markings, bright golden eyes and adorable big ears. He has beautiful stripes and spots on his body capped off with four white feet. Phoenix is a social, outgoing cat who enjoys being with his fosters and meeting new people. He loves playing with all his toys and also catnip toys but his favorite are the cat dancer and the battery operated toys that move around, but he is the happiest when he is around his fosters. When Phoenix is not playing or exploring, he loves to snuggle - he will cuddle right on your lap while purring softly. He would love a home where he can sleep with his person at night. Phoenix enjoys watching the activity out the windows from his scratching tree and is a good conversationalist if he thinks you need to know something. He also uses the cardboard scratcher. Phoenix would like a house rather than an apartment to live in. He has been around the foster’s dogs and does fine but not around cats so we don’t know if he would like a cat friend. We do know that he loves people. Since he is a curious boy, if there are children in the home, they should be 12+ years of age so they can monitor doors so Phoenix doesn’t follow them out. Remember, cats can live 18+ years so be sure you can give him a forever home. Phoenix is neutered, FeLV, FIV and heartworm negative. He is distemper and rabies vaccinated and his adoption fee is $200. Call 651-771-5662 to inquire about handsome, sweet Phoenix

MARLEY is a strikingly handsome black, brown and white boy who is approx. 1 year old. His markings are so interesting and unique, and his fur is very soft. Marley is such a sweet cat who loves to be with his people. He loves to cuddle (even under the blankets) when sleeping with his foster and purrs happily when getting attention. Marley likes to hold a conversation with you and loves to be petted while kneading the blanket. He enjoys watching the birds out the window and napping in the sun. His favorite toys are his toy mice that he bats around the house, the cat dancer and catnip toys. Marley uses his carpeted scratching tree and likes sitting on the top level watching over his domain, and he likes using the cardboard scratcher too. Marley enjoys either sitting on his foster’s lap or next to her when she is reading or watching TV just to be close. He has not been around other animals in our program so we don’t know if he would be okay with cats; he would not like to be in a home with dogs or young children because he doesn’t like a lot of noise and running around. Remember, cats can live 18+ years so be sure you can give Marley his forever home. Marley is neutered, FeLV, FIV and heartworm negative, and distemper and rabies vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. Story
BENNY is an adorable 1 year old (mini panther) all black cat who is the sweetest boy you could find. He is friendly, affectionate, loves people, and enjoys playing with the foster family's cats. He purrs all the time and when he is content and kneading his blanket, he drools (it’s so cute). Benny looks at you adoringly with the sweetest expression and he gives hugs; he enjoys being carried like a baby and getting lots of kisses. He likes sitting by his foster while she is working at the computer or relaxing. Benny is always interested in new things and loves exploring the house. He enjoys sitting by the window and watching the world go by. He plays a lot with one of the foster’s cats - they spend hours playing with the ball in the wheel toy, and he likes chasing toy mice. He is also a great communicator when he wants attention or at meal time. Benny will sleep on the foster’s bed at night or in a cat bed nearby. He likes the cardboard scratching pad and hanging out on the top of the carpeted scratching tree. He would prefer a home rather than an apartment as it takes him a little while to adjust to a new environment. Benny would like a forever home that has a cat-friendly cat who he can spend time with; he does not like dogs. He has not been around children in our program but should be okay with older kids (10+ years). Remember, cats can live 18+ years so be sure you can give him his forever home. Benny is neutered, FeLV and FIV negative, and distemper and rabies vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. Call 651-771-5662 to inquire about this friendly, affectionate, sweet boy.

**PENNY AND TIPPER ARE A BONDED PAIR WHO MUST LIVE OUT THEIR LIVES TOGETHER! THEY ARE CURRENTLY STAYING AT THE CAFE MEOW IN ROSEVILLE. YOU CAN RESERVE A TIME THROUGH https://thecafemeow.com/roseville/ TO MEET THEM! THEY ARE A VERY SWEET PAIR! ** Name: Penny Breed: DSH Gender: Female DOB: 04/17/2019 Color: Black & White Name: Tipper Breed: DSH Gender: Male DOB: 04/17/2019 Color: Dark Grey & White Penny and Tipper had been found a week after their human had died - confused and traumatized. They came into rescue and were given lots of TLC and time to decompress from the trauma. They bounced back amazingly well and are the most affectionate kitties who adore attention and cuddles! Penny and Tipper have a wonderful sibling bond. They are very sweet with each other and humans! Tipper can be a little enthusiastic at dinner time not only with his food but Penny's food as well. They seem to do just fine with other cats and should do well with an older well-mannered child. We are not certain how they would be with a dog. Penny does have a chronic issue with her left eye (since kittenhood). She occasionally will need eye meds applied but her eyesight is completely fine. She will benefit from having l-lysine (supplement) added to her food for this as well. Both Penny and Tipper have been altered, vaccinated, tested for FeLV/FIV/HW (negative) and microchipped. Their adoption fee is $450+tax
