Amos, Neutered male, 1 year 8 months,, 46-Lbs. If you would like to give AMOS a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application About Amos: Amos is one of the best behaved dogs, according to the foster family. He is loving and passionate, yet stable, calm, friendly and obedient. He can easily befriend strangers including kids; also gets along well with other dogs and cats. He is potty trained and crate trained. He will be your good friend and a great companion pet. Amos is patiently waiting for a second chance to join a family of his own! Amos’ rescue story: Amos used to be a stray and was taken home to guard the house by his master. Unfortunately, Amos was terribly mistreated: not only he was poorly fed, but also often beaten by his master. When Amos’s plight was witnessed by the volunteer, she mad a desperate plea for Amos’ owner to let her take Amos from him. Reluctantly, the man gave in. Under the care of his foster family, Amos gained both weight and good spirit; most importantly, he never lost his trust toward humans. Amos also learned good manner and sanitation habit. He enjoyed playing with other dogs too. FOSTER CARE! Hello, my name is Bebe and I'm a 4 year old, spayed, smooth German Shepherd/Pitbull mix that currently weighs about 54 lbs. I'm an affectionate girl that starts off on the timid side. Once I'm comfortable, I enjoy belly rubs and daily walks! I'm hoping for a quiet home that understands that I am a wonderful, but sensitive lady who will need time to adjust into a new setting. Once I'm settled, I'm the epitome of good etiquette. I am calm and demure, most of the time. I've been known to be a fence climber when I want to be with my people. I love the game of chase! Especially with small critters like birds and squirrels so I prefer to be the only pet in the household. My foster family says I'm crate trained (I sleep there at night) and I've had minimal accidents in the house. I'm also a pro at sitting for treats! For more information, just ask Customer Service about Bebe! ID# A946402   Since I’m not at the adoption center, you can make arrangements to meet me by following these instructions: Please submit your fully completed Adoption Profile Form to behavior@phs-spca.org and a staff member will call you to conduct a phone interview before making an appointment to meet me in person. You must be 18 or older to submit a profile. When you email your adoption profile, please include a few sentences about why you're interested in adopting me specifically and why you think I'd be a good fit for your family! Please also tell us a little bit about your dog experience, if any. We look forward to hearing from you!  Application: https://phs-spca.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/AdoptionProfiles_dog2023_fillin.pdf *The application may not work on mobile devices and iPads. Please call (650) 340-7022 for assistance. .   Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions are 11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed major holidays). Story
Well, hello! My name is Hershey and I'm a spayed, 11-month-old, German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix who currently weighs around 55 lbs. I will most likely be around 74 to 80lbs. as an adult. I'm an energetic and effervescent girl that LOVES to play in the water! I would be the perfect companion to beach goers, river rafters or sprinkler hoppers! I can be a little uncertain on how to make doggy friends so I'm hoping to continue working on my social skills and impulse control with an active, loving family. I can't wait to meet everyone in the household including any resident dogs before I head home. Just ask Customer Service about Hershey! ID# A955664 I recently spent time with a volunteer! Here's how I did: I took Hershey out for the first time today. She was really eager to get out. Luckily the yard was available because this girl LOVES to fetch and LOVES the water! She ran happily in the yard chasing balls and splashing around. She knows drop so it’s easy to trade balls and keep her running. I also took her for a walk. She needs some work on leash manners but did not pull really hard - probably due to running zoomies before! She is affectionate.Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
Hi there! My name is Luna and I'm a spayed, 1-year-old, German Shepherd mix that currently weighs about 45lbs. My friends here at PHS say I'm a ball of energy (I jump for joy when I'm excited!) but sometimes I'm unsure about trying new things. I'm hoping for a new family that has experience helping playful girls like me broaden their horizons. Since I'm still working on my manners and impulse control, I'd like to meet any resident dogs before I officially join the family to make sure we'll be a good match. I hope to be the classiest lady so training is a must! I promise to be the sweetest girl you will ever meet! For more information, just ask Customer Service about Luna ID# A956194.  I recently spent time with a PHS Volunteer! Here's how I did: We went for a walk first and Luna is a star walker, no pulling and walked by my side the entire walk. We got back to yard for some playtime and Luna is a pistol once she starts enjoying herself. She zips around the yard a million miles an hour-so fun to watch! Luna knows that if she drops the ball at your feet that you will throw it again and again. Very nice spunky dog, someone should snatch her up!  Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
AVAILABLE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY Hi there, I'm Zero! I'm a 8 month old, neutered male German Shepherd/Husky mix that currently weighs 45lbs. but I'm still growing and could be around 60-70lbs. when I'm and adult. I'm a playful and energetic puppy that loves attention and snacks. My favorite pastime is running! I’m a happy go lucky guy who treats everyone like they are my friends! Whether you are 4 legged or 2, I will try to play with you! I'm a smart boy and ready to learn, but not until I get all my wiggles out. My fur-ever family should be familiar with working breeds and be ready to provide lots of exercise, training, socialization, and love.  Oh and snacks, don’t forget the snacks! I may be able to live with other dogs and kids as long as they don’t mind my big energy!  I lived with a cat for a little while, but my playful energy may be too much for some. If I sound like the perfect match for you, come and meet me today! Bring all the human members and any doggy family members as well! Zero AID# A954079 From my foster home: I'm doing great! I love playing with my foster sister, a Mini-Aussie. My fosters say I'm wonderful on walks and very smart! I also live with a 9 year old (human) and I've been really gentle with her! I went to Fort Funston and loved walking on the beach! I do really well in the car, no whining or complaining from me. Since I’m not at the adoption center, you can make arrangements to meet me by submitting your fully completed Adoption Profile Form to adoptinquire@peninsulahumanesociety.org and a staff member will call you to conduct a phone interview before making an appointment to meet me in person.
