Story
I`m in a FOSTER HOME! To meet me with me, please email my foster at kriskill.hasse@gmail.com.This sweet old lady loves naps on soft beds in between short bouts of play with her foster siblings.  She is in a home with medium and large dogs ranging from 1-14 years old, young and old cats, and an 11-year-old child.  She`s sweet, appears to be potty trained and loves some good scratches.  She has shown no interest in eating anything other than dog food and appears to be anxious about being confined, even in a bedroom.  She has done well out in the house on her large bed during the day.  Imogen would love to find some adopters that have the time and resources to get her all the care she needs. She has some stiff joints (who doesn’t these days!) and would appreciate a home with few or no stairs please. If you love the oldies, this girl is for you.  While she may have some arthritis, she`s got lots of love to give in a quiet and gentle manner.

Story
*Needs new home immediately* Dingo is high energy, very intelligent, and a loyal companion. He does not seem to understand social cues from other dogs. This is the primary reason we are rehoming. He has taken obedience classes and understands sit, down (lay down), stay (lay down position), and focus. He is currently prescribed a flea and tick monthly chewable.

Story
Male, 1 year old, 42 lbs Personality: playful, affectionate, goofy/funny, snuggler, and energetic With eyes as bright as a star, North is looking for the directions to his forever home. This affectionate pup has plenty of energy to navigate anywhere, whether it’s on a walk to the dog park or to the couch for snuggles. While he might start to fuss when it’s time for his humans to sit and stay, he quickly settles when he remembers how great it is to snooze in his bed or, even better, snuggle next to his humans. This playful boy loves a good toy to chew on, and does best if there’s always one nearby. He knows the words “sit” and “shake”, and is working on the word “down.” He also settles quickly to snooze overnight in his crate and is housetrained. North is excellent with other dogs too, whether he meets them while out for a walk, running around the dog park, or with his canine foster brother at home. North understands when other pups are ready for play, and when they need some space. If you think you're the star that North can rely on to find home, apply today to meet him! You can follow some of his adventures on Instagram @Foster_life_with_cc – If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Learn more, see our list of dogs needing foster, and apply, https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/foster-a-city-dog.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.

Sadly, she was turned in as a stray, even though she appears to have lived in a home before. She is very well mannered and her intelligence is impressive. She is smart, eager to learn and to please, and even knows some commands. Her social nature makes her a friend to all,  human and canine alike. In addition, May is house trained and will stay in a crate.  May is patiently waiting to bring joy and companionship to her forever home. Could it be yours? Why not submit an application today and change this beautiful girl's life for the better!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.       Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. I was rescued, along with my sister Pup Valerie, by K-9 Lifesavers from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama. Because there have been so many recent changes in my life, I am shy. I warm up quickly if there is another dog around. I would really like to find a home with a confident and welcoming dog to show me the ropes. I'm a sweet and loving pup just looking to find my forever home. Could that be with you? At my young age, I am in my prime for training and socialization too. I promise to be the best friend you've ever had. Adopting me would mean endless love, companionship, and a loyal friend. I can't wait to meet you! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/  . Story
❗Current Location: in a local shelter in South Korea❗• • Rescue Story : Meet Hyonie👋 the sweetest gentlest soul! Hyonie was found in a park in South Korea at four months old in March 2022 and taken to a high-risk shelter alongside her two sisters. Luckily, they were saved right before euthanasia by the rescue team. While one of her sisters is living with a foster family, Hyonie is still in the crowded shelter, awaiting her forever family. • Personality: Affectionate, Submissive, Smart Hyonie may seem a little shy at first, but she is surprisingly a BIG cuddler to people, which means that all she needs is a little bit of time to open up in the beginning. She would thrive on affection as she loves to be petted all the time! She would be a great fit if you are searching for a cuddly pup. She learns things quickly as she is a food-driven smart cookie. You will definitely find training her a part of the joyful journey with her! • With Cats: Not tested • With Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs. She’s a submissive and gentle type of dog. • With Adults/Kids: Good with adults / Unknown for kids • Housetrained: Hyonie knows how to use pee-pads even though she lives in the shelter. She may go potty indoors (pads) and outdoors both when adopted. • Shedding: 5-6 • Food Allergies: No. • Walking Manner: in training and improving! • Bathing/Brushing: Good • Bark or Howl: Barks a little bit toward strangers • Likes & Dislikes: She likes going for walks, playing with toys, and chewing stuff. / She doesn’t like being kept in confined spaces. • Note: She has had two of her toes removed due to blocked circulation of blood caused by blankets tangled around her toes. She's been fully recovered and now fine walking and jumping!
