Story
Daisy – The Sweet & Shy Snuggle Bug Hi, I’m Daisy, a gentle and affectionate girl looking for a loving home where I can feel safe and cherished. I may be a little shy at first, but once I warm up, I’m all about cuddles and companionship. I have a sneaky little trick—I’ll slowly creep onto the couch or bed, then drop my entire body weight like I’m too heavy to move, just so I can stay close for snuggles. It works every time! I get along great with my foster brother, a 4-year-old male rescue dog. We love to run, wrestle, and play together, and we eat peacefully around each other. I haven’t been around many other dogs due to my pregnancy, but with proper introductions, I’ve done well with small dogs. I’m also very gentle when taking treats and enjoy sniffing my surroundings on walks. I do well on a leash, but I can be startled easily, so I need a little reassurance to feel secure. I also love car rides! At night, I usually sleep in my dog bed next to my foster, but I’ve been known to sneak up onto the bed when given the chance (because cuddles are life). I’m crate-trained and do well when left alone in a secure area. I’m also house-trained, though I may have an accident if I don’t get outside in time. Overall, I’m a soft-hearted, gentle girl who just needs time to build trust. Once I do, I’ll be your most loyal, affectionate cuddle buddy. If you’re looking for a sweet, loving companion who will melt into your arms, I might just be the perfect pup for you!   All dogs/puppies will be spayed/neutered unless spay/neuter contract is signed with additional deposit. Story
Ollie is a 4-year-old mixed breed dog we adopted from the humane society in 2020. He is loving, loyal, potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained. He is active when we are but is also content relaxing at home. He doesn’t have any separation anxiety and can stay home alone. We are looking for a new home for Ollie since we have an active toddler who has dog allergies.

Story
My name is Margot! I'm a 5-month-old, spayed Labrador Retriever Mix, who currently weighs 16 lbs., but I'm definitely still growing and could be between 45 to 55 lbs. as an adult. I am a gentle, curious, and friendly little lady that would love to go home with a family that is ready to provide lots of exercise, training, socialization, and of course love! I start off on the timid side, but that's because I'm still learning about the great big world around me. I'm hoping for a family that has experience building confidence. Once I'm comfortable, I'm everything you would expect from a puppy; playful, energetic, and adorable! If you are looking for puppy kisses and wiggly tails, come on in and ask for me! Margot ID# A959072Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions are 11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed major holidays). We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around! To check on an animal's adoption status, please call 650-340-7022 during normal business hours to speak with an adoption counselor. Molly, spayed female, 3.5-year-old, 49 Lbs. If you would like to give MOLLY a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application Molly is a pretty girl, friendly and playful. She is a total cuddle bug when around familiar faces. It’ll take her a short while to overcome shyness when encountering strangers. Being a young pup, Molly is playful and curious; sometimes could be a bit rough while playing around young children or cats, though. Molly is a good car rider and has good table manners at meal time. She enjoys the company of other dogs. She’s potty trained to go outside or inside of the house on pee pad; crate trained to sleep overnight; not a barker or chewer when inside the house. Molly will do best for a family with another similar sized dog and backyard. Molly’s rescue story: The first encounter of Molly and the rescuer was when she’s enjoying her beach stroll. Molly was running among many visitors that day. Followed her around, the rescuer found out that Molly was being fed by members of the coastal guard temporarily since she came down from the neighboring mountain region. With the consent of the coaster guard, the rescuer took Molly for a checkup and proper immunization and then placed her under foster care to ready her for adoption. Story
Dolly, spayed female, 3y-5-m-old, 44-lbs If you would like to give DOLLY a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application Dolly has an easy-going temperament, very playful and lively. She loves people and is sociable around other dogs and stays calm when meeting cats. She is potty trained and crate trained to sleep overnight; not a chewer or barker. Dolly is most suitable for an outdoor loving family, and/or as an addition to family with dog. Dolly’s rescue story: Driving home during a stormy night, the rescuer spotted a dark moving object in-between the traffic lanes. When she stopped her car to check it out, she found Dolly moving toward her slowly, wagging her tail. She didn’t seem injured but apparently had difficulty moving. Dolly followed the rescuer to her car and off to the hospital they went. The doctor’s diagnostic was that Dolly simply suffered from starvation. Under the care of her foster family, Dolly regained her hearth and received proper training. But being a dog with black color coat has hardly any chance to be adopted by local people. Hopefully Dolly can start her new life aboard. Hachi, spayed male, 3 Year-6 months old, 40 Lbs. If you would like to give HACHI a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application About Hachi: Hachi is a super sweet young pup, very sociable, would greet everyone he met with a big smile. He adapted and thrived quickly in foster care; he has become a devoted companion to the humans he bonded with. Being friendly and affectionate, he can easily befriend strangers and kids; also gets along well with dogs. He is food motivated, will wait patiently for his turn at meal time; never fight over food with other dogs. He loves to eat and gets excited before taking a walk, but always heed to command well. His favorite pastime is playing fetch, car riding and his daily walks. Hachi has Shiba Inu’s temperament and appearance in his mixed breed; he will do best for experienced and strong-willed dog owners, Hachi would give 100% of himself to reciprocate. Hachi’s rescue story: Hachi was raised since he is a puppy by a factory owner as a watch dog. But his owner hardly paid any attention to him. Around two years old during his puberty, Hachi was once lost, until the rescuer found him as a stray in poor physical condition. Since then, Hachi was neutered and treated for skin problem, followed by foster family’s loving care and training for future adoption. Bart, neutered male, 2Year 4months old, 28 Lbs. If you would like to give BART a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application Bart is one of the best dogs we have fostered. He has a striking appearance and a relatively smaller build. He is docile, calm, but can also be lively and playful; he loves belly rubs and hugs when around familiar faces. He is super mellow and well behaved by nature. He likes food and toys, and is willing to share with others. Bart rides well in the car and enjoys resting near his humans quietly. He can easily befriend strangers and is very gentle with kids. Bart also gets along well with other dogs and cats. He is potty trained and crate trained. His favorite pastime is the daily walks and hanging out with play pals in the park. He would be a great candidate for family looking for a loyal companion pet as well as a superb hiking partner. Bart’s rescue story: In central western Taiwan, near an industrial park, Bart and his seven other siblings were wandering about. There were no food and water in sight, except the occasional feeding by volunteers. With highway and storm drainage ditch nearby, it was a precarious environment for these young pups. When the rescuer saw the posting for help by volunteer, she responded immediately.
