Story
Hi there! My name is Canelo and I'm a neutered, 5-month-old, lab mix that currently weighs about 24lbs. I'm still a growing boy and will reach around 60-70lbs as an adult. I'm hoping for a family that's ready for silly puppy hijinks! I am always ready to play and run! I would love to find a family as active as me who is prepared to continue my training and socialization! I have a lot of puppy energy and I'm excited to learn new things. I also LOVE snacks so training will be fun for everyone! I prefer households with dog savvy children that are 8 years or older since I'm still learning self-awareness. My new family should also be experienced with large breed dogs. Please bring the entire household, including any resident dogs, so we can get acquainted before I join the family! For more information, just ask Customer Service about Canelo! ID# A957053 Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
Mocha is 10 mos, I adopted her from a rescue at 4 mos. Mocha is 60% chocolate lab and 40% red doberman. She is about 63 lbs now. She has pretty orange fur underneath her brown coat, orange eyes and a super curly cute tail. She is an absolute sweetheart, loves to cuddle with you while laying down, she is amazing and friendly with other dogs and people, loves to play and has alot of puppy energy to burn at dog parks, walks and outdoors. At dog parks, she greets other pups with licks which really shows her friendly personality. Looking for a forever, loving and active home/family with another sibling (if possible, but no worries if not). Please reach out to me with any questions at all, happy to answer. Thank you. -Rachael

Story
Dolly, spayed female, 3y-5-m-old, 44-lbs If you would like to give DOLLY a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application Dolly has an easy-going temperament, very playful and lively. She loves people and is sociable around other dogs and stays calm when meeting cats. She is potty trained and crate trained to sleep overnight; not a chewer or barker. Dolly is most suitable for an outdoor loving family, and/or as an addition to family with dog. Dolly’s rescue story: Driving home during a stormy night, the rescuer spotted a dark moving object in-between the traffic lanes. When she stopped her car to check it out, she found Dolly moving toward her slowly, wagging her tail. She didn’t seem injured but apparently had difficulty moving. Dolly followed the rescuer to her car and off to the hospital they went. The doctor’s diagnostic was that Dolly simply suffered from starvation. Under the care of her foster family, Dolly regained her hearth and received proper training. But being a dog with black color coat has hardly any chance to be adopted by local people. Hopefully Dolly can start her new life aboard. Bobby, neutered male, 13-months old, 42-lbs If you would like to give BOBBY a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application Bobby is a lively, playful, and happy pup when around his human pack. He is super mellow and well behaved by nature. He gets along well with other dogs and cats. Bobby adapted and thrived quickly in foster care. He is potty trained and crate trained to sleep overnight. His favorite pastime is his daily walks and hanging out with play pals in the park. Bobby is calm and docile compared to young pups his age. He would be a great candidate for family looking for a companion pet. About Bobby’s rescue: Bobby was deserted at the park, he was around six months old at the time. Volunteer posted his story on social media asking for help, but didn’t get any response. He was friendly to the park visitors and sometimes played with their dogs. During the time the volunteer was looking for foster opportunity for him. Before an organized fair held at the park, Bobby was picked up by the local shelter. Fortunately, the volunteer landed a foster family for Bobby and got him out of the shelter shortly. Bobby got out of the shell and became his old and friendly self soon afterwards.
